    thank you drew it will be 51 years since i left the midlands in june i was born in oldhill went to school at britannia boys school 1961 to 1965 i have not been back for 35 years now look forward to the next video

    My father worked at hailstone quarry, been in there hundreds of times, that is real old Rowley

      Bet that's cool looking down in that big dip . Makes me wonder what it was like before the quarry started

    This is crazy!!! I live old hill but grew up in rowley. Never knew that canal you walked was even there!!!! How?!!! Really interesting video

    My partner lives in tividale and goes a lot to Rowley hills and I also used to live there and had family in lion farm and worked in Oldbury,brings back good memories, me and my family go many,many generations back in the black country eara and proud to be from the black country 👍

    Nice vid bud. Great to go back to see where your family are from too.
    I always pass by my nans old house when im in York remembering my childhood visits before she moved to Birmingham in 1979.

      Very interesting place tbh the views are fantastic at parts enjoy if go up . Portway hill is good

    The school was situated where School Drive is, the new houses. On the left just before the island on the hill at the end of Ross

    I attended Britannia School just down the road from that church, that would have been 1972-78. I used to buy a nice bag of chips from the chip shop further down the road towards the park.

      @@drewsoutdooradventures01 Not really, I left the area in 1980 and the country in 1984! Britannia was a good school back then, it certainly provided a good foundation for my further education thanks to several outstanding teachers.

    the school was an all girls school i went there from 1954/58 it was at the end of Siviters lane on the left side .

      I would love to Do a pub investigation I've heard a local pub by me that closed a long time back the George is haunted bottom of Stourbridge road
