Nah. They’re all thinking that there is no way our own Discovery 3’s will ever last as long as Christian and Vera’s now. So we might as well drive our own vehicles into the ground! This D3 will now outlast every other one on the planet, designating all LR Time videos from now on into the History channel!
Fantastic channel and a gifted family. I love Christian's ''adult'' humour. Watching this video makes you appreciate the benefits of a two-post lift. Continued success and good health to you all.
Why do you not have more subscribers? The videography of Vera and the banter between you both is just lovely to watch. Love the quality of your work, by the time you've finished this restoration it will be fit for Vera to put another 250,000kms on it.Can't wait for next week ,when the Discovery starts going back together.
A very good Sunday morning from England 🏴 This is one mammoth job on sweet Vera’s LR Christian 😊 She’s so lucky that you’ve got the time a patience to strip down completely her Land Rover and most of all record it for us to be entertained and educated as you pull it apart exposing all the bad bits 😂 The frame looked like a Christmas tree at the end lol 😆 Good seeing Robin getting involved also 👍🏻 His blacksmith skills look awesome 👏🏻 Maybe he could start his own UA-cam channel………. 🤔 Or show more with you guys. Well next week can’t come quickly enough for me 🤩 So in the meantime have a lovely weekend as Al hug and kisses for Vera 😍 x
Great video and great work, i'm jealous, and i want to do this to my toyota ... I really love my Hilux SW4 2007 Diesel with Manual transmission (brazilian model) Your videos encourage me to carry out maintenance myself with the care and love you give to yours.
Wow Christian! Sarah-n-Tuned would be very impressed with your refurbishment skills! You two crack me up. I’m always smiling all the way through! I see that you’ve cracked 45k subscribers. They say once you reach 40k your channel will really start to take off. I hope so. I bet you make 100k by Christmas. 😃👍🇦🇺
I must admit I love watching you two razz each other with easy sarcasm and you both enjoy it together awesome. Thanks for the video and see you in the next one 👍👍👍👍👍/5.
That last segment with all the pieces dangling could be in some modern art gallery. You’re both awesome (and maybe a little bit crazy, but in a good way!).
Pretty astonishing stuff, taking a vehicle to pieces like this. I had a daydream that indoors all your domestic devices sit in piles of components on the floor too.🙂
Incredible! (I'm doing a binge-watch catch-up, so looking forward to watching next week's video in 5 minutes time!). And those hanging bits of red-painted metal look very artistic too! (Modern art - you could consider sending in some pictures to the Tate...)
I love how thoroughly you are rebuilding this Discovery. )) I used to have Discovery 3 until 2022. It was manufactured in 2008 and by 2022 it had 398.000 km milage. I never had any issue with the TDV6. Can you believe it? I had to sell it last year. I miss it so much. 😢 so when I watch your rebuild project it reminds me of what I was going to do with my Discovery. Maybe sometime later I will join the LR community again and undertake similar project. Thanks a lot for your guidance and wish you all the best with all your Discoveries ❤
I like both your comedy and your car restoration skills. A friend had a stainless steel peice of wire, from a wire brush from a angle grinder, in-bed deep into his skin. They couldn't use a magnet to retrieve it. So now he uses a leather protector when using wire brushes on his grinder.
Man… renewing all of that must be cathartic! Agreed on the air suspension… that is what makes the car the best! I would replace all air components while that’s all apart!
No, definitely not. These OEM parts are much better than anything you can buy today. And it is easily accessible when the body is on. We almost never replace anything prematurely. 👍🙋♀️Vera
Excellent video. I hope this series inspires more people to restore their discovery. Makes me cringe everytime I hear someone suggest removing the air suspension.
I watch with envy. My LR3 has just hit over 3 and a half K kilometres. She still looks beautiful in her Buckingham blue and I look after her as best I can. I spend most of my earnings on her. But when I see what is possible, Maybe I'm not doing enough. You two are incredible to watch. I often wander what Land Rover think about you..........All My God!
Hut ab, welche Energie ihr in den Disco 3 steckt. Ich wär froh, wenn ich das auch könnte... Danke für dieses tolle Video und die Details von einen so tollen Auto ❤
Great content again, you guys tackle these big jobs with such good methodical mindset. I have to disagree on the transportation in India though, that bell part would be transported on a moped along with a wardrobe and 7 members of the riders family!
As always a brilliant video. It is incredibly satisfying seeing the car taken apart and you renovationg everything. It actually makes me want a Disco. You have done an amazing job Christian - and I love the time scale of 2 to 3 years to clean the chassis 😂 thank you for the continued entertainment
I’m a Land Cruiser owner and I wish that was my chassis! Fantastic work and thoroughness, I’d never find all the bits on reassembly though. Glad the body section hasn’t blown off into the garden yet. Looks vunderable.
Very surprised just how compact that rear differential is. Many smaller vehicles have much larger diffs than a Disco 3. The local LR dealer must love it when Christian walks in with a shopping list of 50 plus minor components for his car...
Superb series of video's and they're going to become a "how to" bible for anybody else doing the same work. Makes you appreciate just how many components are in a modern vehicle.... and how many things need replacing if you're going to restore it properly.
Dear sir or madam, yours is the only channel that I search for on Sunday, or any other day for that matter. Incidentally I don’t have a disco and never have had one. A big thumbs up to you all.
Lovely and charming videos. I note past reference to "Sarah-N-Tune," and heard a reference to "South Main Auto" on today's video. I watch and rewatch your videos, and continue to pick up little details.
@13.20, i've used those type discs (strip & clean wheels) & they are fantastic, they are available from 3M, they do different grades, the Purple one is the toughest one, the Blue one like yours is a softer one, i always use the Purple one when i'm restoring my old 1950's Austin's
Great job and having done the same to mine I know exactly what it feels like to do all that work. On the lanoguard front, I sprayed my chassis and underbody after all the preventative painting and rust inhibitors as a final sacrificial layer to be topped up before each winter. If you want to see rust you should see land rovers from Scotland which is why I got mine from much further South in England. Looking forward to the rebuild. 👍😁
Brilliant video! That two post lift is really paying for itself, so useful. Your car, Vera, is getting a thorough makeover! Robin's work is excellent, such craftsmanship. Take care, waiting for next Sundays instalment 👍
WOW ! the TUV man is in for a suprise the next time he gets to see under this beauty. i'm really enjoying this and love the joke about the indian bicycle.
Iv got a 150hp compressor 275cfm for shotblasting, a shed and 2 post lift and i would not even attempt that , what a brilliant job you guys are doing but your absolutely bonkers 😂 hats off you to you
Hi guys love your videos and everything you do now Christian is a very precise precision person so please make a cap for the ramp post and move that bucket that is on top come on Christian keep up the good work
More excellent work, I know how miserable clean a chassis with grinders and wire wheels is, we have recently started using wet blasting with excellent results and little mess
Without a question of doubt. The best destination on the tubes for LR Discovery enthusiasts. Get a Toyota if you want more BBQ and drinking time on your weekends 😂
I thoroughly enjoyed another great video while drinking my morning coffee here in NC. Your vast range of skills are amazing. I can picture myself doing the disassembly and then struggling to put everything back together again. I have a 2016 LR4 with the SCV6 and plan to keep it since I just cancelled my Grenadier pre-order. I refuse to pay over $100k USD for a car.
Hi both, just a thought, now you have the air compressor assembly off you could slot the top left hand hole so in the event of failure or maintenance of the drying agent you can remove the assembly very smoothly. It also allows you to reassemble quicker ❤
ITS LR TIME😊😊😊😊 what a fantastic video.such precision and dedication.this disco will be better than factory spec cant wait to see the final result.better than new.keep up the goid work😊😊😊
Awesome work. I prefer using a full face mask when grinding, better at keeping crud out of the eyes and face than googles, especially when working underneath. Grinding a frame is the nastiness of jobs. Always impressed at how much work you get done. Good point on the Stainless screws, about to replace a height sensor on my L322 and will do the same.
The real skill and task is reassembling everything every nut and bolt having a good memory I know when I take something apart I have. Bolts left over 😞 this take skills Christian has skills 99 % land rover owners will never go this far on rust removal including myself I wish I had the time I have too many unfinished projects vera a very lucky woman to have a well skilled husband and children in USA kids play video games play grounds empty , nice job Christian
OMG WHAT A MASSIVE JOB.. BUT YOU BOTH ARE DOING AMAZING JOB. IF YOU LOVE A LAND-ROVER IT IS TRUE LOVE... I WISH I LIVED NEAR YOU MY DISCOVERY 3 HAS NOISES TITLE ENDS. BUT THIS ENGINE REBUILD SEEM A SMALL JOB KNOW AFTER WATCHING YOU BOTH. I JUST WISH MY WIFE WAS LIKE VIRA.. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK .........
All Land Rover owners watching this thinking; "I wish that was my chassis" 😂 Great video again! 👌
But in Australia are chassis don't rust
@@ShockWaveGamings234fg321f 😱😱 What, inland drivers I guess, but coastal drivers mush see some rust or? 🧐
Nah.
They’re all thinking that there is no way our own Discovery 3’s will ever last as long as Christian and Vera’s now.
So we might as well drive our own vehicles into the ground!
This D3 will now outlast every other one on the planet, designating all LR Time videos from now on into the History channel!
We certainly do and had the two post lift
From Bosnia I approve this message... ;)
Any employer would see Christian as a high-value individual. He is the head of a family which moves civilisation forward.
the initial shot looked like an art installation! so cool
Art work!
A Land Rover Christmas Tree 🎄 😊
Fantastic channel and a gifted family.
I love Christian's ''adult'' humour.
Watching this video makes you appreciate the benefits of a two-post lift.
Continued success and good health to you all.
OMG I WISH IT WAS MINE ❤❤❤ just replaced my Coolant myself feeling proud you guys are 💯 thanks for your video absolutely amazing 👏
Today I have joined the LR3 family, I just drove 411 miles to purchase a 2008 LR three, I had the courage to get it because of your videos, thank you
Guys you really give new meaning to car restoration with the work you do, once finished must be the cleanest, nicest LR. Well done guys.
Why do you not have more subscribers? The videography of Vera and the banter between you both is just lovely to watch. As always I am enjoying these weekly instalments, with the unwavering approach and enthusiasm to this mammoth task.
Great video and great work, i'm jealous, and i want to do this to my toyota ... I really love my Hilux SW4 2007 Diesel with Manual transmission (brazilian model) Your videos encourage me to carry out maintenance myself with the care and love you give to yours.
It was much more work than I anticipated. Christian
Another out of the park sunday morning coffee time. Happy Trails
Wow Christian! Sarah-n-Tuned would be very impressed with your refurbishment skills! You two crack me up. I’m always smiling all the way through! I see that you’ve cracked 45k subscribers. My fingers are crossed for Christian and Vera they so deserve everything that comes their way.
When it’s finished it must surely be one of the finest Discovery 3 anywhere
Last week you were doing work before work, this week working after work. That’s dedication Christian. Top video as always. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Pretty astonishing stuff, taking a vehicle to pieces like this. I had a daydream that indoors all your domestic devices sit in piles of components on the floor too.🙂
Land Rover art installation looks amazing...
Easy peasy! 😅 Great work. Two post lift is a godsend for this kinda job
This Christian is not afraid of anything or hard work, I love it thanks guys. I’m going to learn a lot here.
Just catching up on these - great video 👍. Wasnt expecting the naughty humour at 7:55 🤣🤣. Great banter between you both 👍
What a massive undertaking but an incredible job on just your driveway. Such a great paint job and more hilarious German humour
Everyone below has commented on every point I can think of. So i Just thumbs up every comment I could do. Great work as always C&V ❤️
Excellent video. Music a little loud, but oh dear, now I know what my chassis really looks like!
You probably watched it on your phone. 👍🙋♀️
I always like even before I watch because I know it will be good
That chassis looks stunning
What you guys have done is nothing short of incredible! Most people could only wish to attempt something like that!
Keep up the great work!
Excellent work….I think everyone needs to do this
Incredible! (I'm doing a binge-watch catch-up, so looking forward to watching next week's video in 5 minutes time!).
And those hanging bits of red-painted metal look very artistic too! (Modern art - you could consider sending in some pictures to the Tate...)
Taking a vehicle apart is one thing, rembering where everything goes and ordering the miriad of parts required is the real challange. Well done!
I love how thoroughly you are rebuilding this Discovery. )) I used to have Discovery 3 until 2022. It was manufactured in 2008 and by 2022 it had 398.000 km milage. Yes, working on cars is dangerous. 👍🙋♀️
The hanging parts looks like it belongs inside an art gallery. looks really cool
I watch with envy. My LR3 has just hit over 3 and a half K kilometres. She still looks beautiful in her Buckingham blue and I look after her as best I can. I spend most of my earnings on her. Amazing video. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Thankyou for the giggles this worrysome day on mother earth
Absolutely awsome work and video this thing will become the best D3 on the planet when you guys are done with it!
Hut ab, welche Energie ihr in den Disco 3 steckt. Ich wär froh, wenn ich das auch könnte... Danke für dieses tolle Video und die Details von einen so tollen Auto ❤
Love the work you do, as an engineer in the aerospace and automotive business I appreciate your attention to detail. Well done.
Great content again, you guys tackle these big jobs with such good methodical mindset. I have to disagree on the transportation in India though, that bell part would be transported on a moped along with a wardrobe and 7 members of the riders family!
I love watching this I like the engineering aspect and the bantering between the two of you.
Looking forward to seeing Vera get a new locking rear diff and Christian explaining how to set up the feature in the infotainment.
Yes, I am waiting too. 😅👍But it looks like I have to wait a lot longer. 🙋♀️
Wonderful series so far. Now i need a machine shop in the house as well as a 2 post outside and a pit inside the garage.
Yes, that is all. 😂👍. Christian
As always a brilliant video. It is incredibly satisfying seeing the car taken apart and you renovationg everything. It actually makes me want a Disco. You have done an amazing job Christian - and I love the time scale of 2 to 3 years to clean the chassis 😂 thank you for the continued entertainment
That’s a Labour of Love, Christian Loves Vera , no diamond rings 💍 but a shiny newly painted chassis 😂👌🏻great job ✌🏻
Well what can I say but only you know a discovery like the back of your hand, superb detail work.
I am amazed at how much patience do you have it s like building the car from zero
I love you guys! ❤❤❤ Always having fun. Love it!
At the beginning with all the parts hanging looks like a piece of art.
Another great job done.
A very daunting task done well!
I’m a Land Cruiser owner and I wish that was my chassis! Fantastic work and thoroughness, I’d never find all the bits on reassembly though. Glad the body section hasn’t blown off into the garden yet. Looks vunderable.

Makes you appreciate just how many components are in a modern vehicle.... and how many things need replacing if you're going to restore it properly.
Great long video. That man is a wizard, doing wizardry stuff.
Dear sir or madam, yours is the only channel that I search for on Sunday, or any other day for that matter. Incidentally I don’t have a disco and never have had one. A big thumbs up to you all.
😅👍💪🙋♀️Vera
The detail and lengths you goto on your discoveries is something land rover should take note of. Great video . Thanks
Everything I want to do in theory, you actually do 😊
Lovely and charming videos. I note past reference to "Sarah-N-Tune," and heard a reference to "South Main Auto" on today's video. I watch and rewatch your videos, and continue to pick up little details.

Good to see you use industrial paint we have similar corroless paint products in the uk a bit more expensive but definitely worth it
Great job and having done the same to mine I know exactly what it feels like to do all that work. Can't wait for this one but will have to watch it later! 😊
Brilliant job
It is very pleasing to see a job done so niceeeee, Congrats Christian.
Brilliant video! That two post lift is really paying for itself, so useful. Your car, Vera, is getting a thorough makeover! Robin's work is excellent, such craftsmanship. Take care, waiting for next Sundays instalment 👍
Excellent video - again! Nice to see both the young lads in action.
WOW ! the TUV man is in for a suprise the next time he gets to see under this beauty. i'm really enjoying this and love the joke about the indian bicycle.
Great video I'm going to watch the full restoration

Really good job on that chassis, that's going to be some vehicle
Wow what a very talented BMX rider and the painter is ok
As always, you do an amazing job. Vera is very lucky to have you. OMG! 🙂
Der Rahmen sieht richtig gut aus! Top Ergebnis 👍
Hi guys love your videos and everything you do now Christian is a very precise precision person so please make a cap for the ramp post and move that bucket that is on top come on Christian keep up the good work
My bucket is authentic. Nobody has that 😂. We’ll do. Christian
Just brilliant! I am really jealous 😅
More excellent work, I know how miserable clean a chassis with grinders and wire wheels is, we have recently started using wet blasting with excellent results and little mess
You guys are amazing. If I bout a new land-rover, I would still want you guys to strip it, clean it, paint it and reassemble it, properly. 😊😊😊
OMG, just love it can’t wait for next week ❤
Without a question of doubt. The best destination on the tubes for LR Discovery enthusiasts.
Get a Toyota if you want more BBQ and drinking time on your weekends 😂
I must admit, once debugged, the Discovery 3 & 4 are a good vehicle. I sold my TDV6 at 420,000km and the motor had never been apart.
Loving the two post lift in the driveway 👌🏼
Once again loved the work. Bit worried about misting overspray on the body though, maybe bag it up, so looking forward to next one
There is no overspray, don‘t worry👍🙋♀️

6:40 - harmonic balancers, aren't they? They apparently help with car sickness (no idea how!)

You both are amazing - thank you for sharing. Informative and excellent sense of humour too!
"2 years of Grinding & the 3rd year Repaint it" :)) nice work.

Fantastic job
This is amazing, what a superb job you are doing! Great video as always
Great content and a modern sculpture at the end, so look forward to your Sunday video’s!
Great job, more hard work by you guys. I hope you remember where everything goes : ) I'm loving watching this restoration.
