@@deceasedposter Basically, a 'gate' is a scandal. It started with Watergate where the DNC (democratic national committee) was broken into by a group of people either hired or coerced into breaking in by officers from the Nixon administration. The scandal was that the presidents cabinet was undermining the Democratic party. Since then we tend to label ANY scandal as a 'gate' and that's slowly lead to calling anything that seems shady or inconvenient as a gate, like 'dispenser gate'.

The fact that I can actually see a News-story titled: ‘Dispensergate’ actually happening.
I would imagine it would basically go: Breaking news! Dispenser manufacturing companies were caught breaking 57 different labour safety laws and to avoid all responsibility, were caught in corruption scandals.
Or more realistically in Today's political climate in America, dispensers have something to do with a group of Democrats using dispensers to get some kind of liquid from children as there is a satin worshipping, paedophile ring that involves everyone in the democratic party somehow.
