The secret to the sound is to use a drawbar organ sound and use two phaser effects on it. One phaser sweeps every bar (4 beats) and the other phaser sweeps every 2 beats. The magic of the sound is the layers of phasers interacting with each other and the eighth notes in the organ part. I figured this out by slowing down the original recording and listening over and over.
@@michaelvanbebbermusic Yeah but wouldn't it sound sick if a few trumpets played that part? It already sounds like a horn, so I figured it could be enhanced.
@@mike-0451 dude shut up. you go on to tell him to get "horns" and then you end it saying you're not a musician. he wont tell you but i will, stay in your lane.
keep doing mac demarco songs
Yessir- Love Mac’s songs
Your vocals work in a weird (good) way. It sounds like if this song came out in the 60s.
Thanks MiKE!
under 600 views is criminally underrated. that’s amazing
Thank you! How can I get more views?
Im like 500 of those views

love this!!!!
this is hot stuff michael!
i would get a synth, which one you suggest for start? (mid budget thx in advice!)
Thanks for watching the video! For a synth that is $500 or less, try the Yamaha reface CS.
This reminds me Clockwork Orange for some reason
Please do a full on country spin on this 🤤😍
could you make a synth tutorial please c:
Sure - what specifically do you want to see? A tutorial on how to make this synth sound or transcribe the notes, etc?
@@michaelvanbebbermusic how to make this synth sound c:
The notes too please 🙏🏾
Too baller
Thank you
When you close your eyes it sounds like squilliam fancyson
Song like ALT-J! :)
How did u get that lead synth sound?

You need to get horns for the main melody. Tubas, trumpets, assorted wares. That sort of thing.
The idea of my videos is to transcribe every note of the original recording exactly, then record it. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@michaelvanbebbermusic Yeah but wouldn't it sound sick if a few trumpets played that part? It already sounds like a horn, so I figured it could be enhanced.
@@mike-0451 You mean the guitar and rhodes melody? Yeah that would sound good with trumpets.
@@michaelvanbebbermusic I guess. I have no idea what it actually is. It’s just that booming part that you hear first. Im not a musician lol.
@@mike-0451 dude shut up. you go on to tell him to get "horns" and then you end it saying you're not a musician. he wont tell you but i will, stay in your lane.
Elton John voice. I liked the flanger 🤣
you should have stick to the instrumental
