Love my Apollo V2 before I sold it There was an issue with the stem requiring a new bolt to be installed but that's for the older model. I bought because it looked great and it ran good but had issues with the battery and the P15 settings were not showing and scooter was running out of juice before a battery was dead. No Scooter is perfect but this one comes pretty close to what I like look, just not fast enough for me. I had to double my budget for something speeder and more solidly built so I went with the Teverun Fighter 11.
I found a new project that might interest you. Have you heard about freebeat's Morph 2-in-1 eBike? It's a revolutionary eBike that combines indoor fitness and outdoor exploration. One of its outstanding features is the ability to be charged indoors. So you can have a seamless riding experience without worrying about the battery running out. It also has a powerful 750W motor, puncture-resistant fat tires, and an IPX5 Waterproof finish. But what's truly unique is the Smart Saddle Detection+ feature, which helps you achieve your fitness goals and keeps you motivated. It's definitely worth checking out!
Im waiting on mine to ship.. the wait is killing me.. bought it Sunday as pre-order, said ships at the end of June. Now the website shows shipping early July.. customer support said it should be shipping out tomorrow. Feel like I'm about to be waiting long.
I wonder if it will overheat when pulling 290 pounds up a mountain 1,400 feet up for around 6 miles at 20 mph. I will do that test. The Apollo City got me up there at about 15 mph and when it atarted to overheat a 2-5 minute rest was all ot needed 1 to 2 times. So far there is no overheating for a 110 pound rider on that City.
only thing that annoys me is how they keep changing their minds on what is included. When I bought mine (Early spring 2023) they told me there would be no more hydraulic brake version as it wasn't needed with the electric braking. While I agree, they sent all the reviewers hydraulic versions. They didn't send me a tool kit despite sending my neighbor the kit when she bought her scooter around the same time. I will give them points though for sending me yellow blinkers to replace the stupid white ones on the front for free. Right now the scooter is selling for 2100 CAD on the site "down from 2800". This is a lie as they've been selling them for 2600 for several months now. It's these kinds of things that rub me the wrong way. Overall though I do really like the scooter
I bought this an hour ago on Apollos site and total is under $2500.00 including tax and $75 shipping insurance. So it’s not Starting at $2600.00 CAD I can assure you as of aug 5th 2023.
@@RaiderNation-North I'm not sure how to respond to that because it doesn't seem like you've understood what I said. Edit: ok I think I get what you're saying. I'm not claiming they're lying about the current selling price, that would be a very strange and somewhat insane claim. I'm claiming it's not on sale from "2800". It hasn't been 2800 for ages. It's been 2600 for months. So it's on sale from 2600, not 2800. It's sneaky and false for them to claim otherwise
Before I watch, let’s see if he talks about its weight, or hill grade. Weight for carrying it to my apartment and, yup, actual hills and not baby slopes.
hi my bud sold me his i think its the first genr,v1 when i brought it the neck was cracked i went on it for a second and it broke in half ,so i got replacement which cost £35 pounds,uk. so its been replaced and also i had to buy bearing for the neck, that they dont tell you about,So anyway fixed it all back to gether, then went to put in my boot ,while trying to lower the handel bars to fold it went down and smashed the display unit which at this time i was pissed, as you can guess now i need a new display ,my question is this I can get the apollo v2 display screen for £50 will this work ok with the v1 ? I know theres upgrades but i just want to know if it will work ??thanks for your help.regards Colin
@@RunPlayBack im looking to get a used one and cant really tell how do i know if it’s v1 or v2 ? Is there’s any physical parts i can tell this is v2 ? Thanks for your fast respond 👏🏼
It's a valid concern to have. I think it's the double edged sword of what people want vs what sacrifices they need to make to have their cake and eat it too. This is typically a limitation when you have form over function and vice versa.
I'm guessing you're referring to dual sport (hybrid) or off-road tires? Yes, folks have done those mods in the aftermarket. The wheels are 10x3". However, you have to look at the size of the tire when fully inflated, and make sure you have enough clearance for the tire.
Had one in our shop today for a flat, but i also noticed the front bar was about to fall.off from the single bolt on the bottom just above the wheel, it was tighted up after blue lock tight was added, also the.rear ring was split, i told the customer for safty reasons i could.not replace the tube unless we installed a new ring also, over all a nice looking scooter though.
Customer service is horrible. I have a Ghost model and in less than a year the battery went bad. I contacted them so many times and very polite, but never honored the warranty. I ended up buying the battery and since the first use is not recharging. I try to contact them again and no answer. After the sale, the service is the most important...
Kinda reckless to be riding one of these at over 40mph with no helmet or other protection. Friend of mine crashed real bad going 35mph when he ran over a squirrel, now wears a bridge for 6 missing teeth.
I always wonder why these scooter companies cant be bothered to put name brand brakes on their equipment. Like, what is nutt? Put reputable brand on there that makes mtb brakes like shimano or magura or hayes or something. Apollo is being really bad with their new scooters and putting drum brakes. I mean lmfao drum brakes

Oh man finally reviewing Apollo!
They have a great lineup of e-scooters!

Thanks for sharing! Yes the Phantom is pretty much at the top of what I'm comfortable with power-wise on a scooter.

the apollo scoots look dope
It's a beast!
They are dope. I’ve got an original Ghost, with over 2k miles on it. It still puts up with my abuse, as if it’s brand new. 🎉🎉🎉

I ordered it on July 3rd and I talked to them today it's not shipping now till third or fourth week of July.
Roadrunner ❤rs5+ is my favorite
I need to try that thing! I hear a lot of. good things!

Honestly couldn’t agree more there great but after 4 months I officially have no brakes on my phantom
Maybe you better get that soon to pal
How did you get hydraulic brakes in the Phantom 2023? I thought they were all mechanical?
Wondering the same. I got mechanical, and was expecting hydraulic. No option to select them upon ordering either.🤔
Great review dude! Waiting on my Phantom V3 rn! What’s the name of the little camera you have attached to the handle bars? That looks hella handy!
Thanks! Enjoy the ride! The camera I use is the Insta360 One X2. They have an X3 out which has a few more upgraded features. It's a solid camera!

Good job
Should be greater than the Apollo city pro dual!!! Which is a hill crusher!!@🤬👹😂❤😅😊
@@rexluminus9867 can it be folded up and carried up to a second floor apartment ?
Hey man does the scooter wobble back and forth for you??
Do you mean the handle? Not really. You may want to tighten up any loose bolts if anything feels wobbly.
How are you measuring slope of hills?
I'm using the Insta360 GPS function on my phone app
Eh why so angry? Whats the timecode?
is overheating still a problem?
No
What is better phantom or ghost?
Phantom
Is this good for 6;3 riders
Yes should be fine.

V2

I still trust the brand but, don't offer a feature that can damage your equipment... use more battery, OK, but, overheat? Really? Great review, TBH
It won't damage it, if it get too hot it will reduce power until it get's back to acceptable temp.

Ludomode = Ludicrous Speed.
Id only they'd change thw handlebars .. that shape is a little poxy looking, as apposed to typical motocross type that a lot have

Without kick start you just killing your battery
Really? Doesn't seem like it would kill the battery that much if you throttle slowly.
If you dont ride it, you won't have to worry about that. Just hang it on your wall like a poster. 😉
I guess if you're 330lbs or towing a trailer behind you, yeah it might wear out battery sooner, but I'm not too worried about that.
@@americatheblind5820 id be more worried that if the battery shits apollo will help you.. fk those guys they are crooks.
