This basically made me cry. People really think that BTS are some group of idols who are “overrated” or that they are “westernized”. But what they don’t know is that they really want to help everybody, anybody at all times. BTS has basically helped me everywhere and anywhere.I may be young but as a 12 year old I suffer from Bipolar and Generalized anxiety discorder. They may seem like a regular kpop group to other people but for me they are life savers. They were the ones who helped me. So far away but so close at the same time. Their songs are like from no other groups or soloists. I feel like they know what I feel and what others feel.sksk if you actually read this than congratulations and have a good day XD
I subscribed to you because of JiKook but your channel turned out to be much much more than that. You are one of my favorite BTS channels that I instantly drop whatever I am doing whenever I see a notification from you. Thank you.
hahah you're so sweet! thank you :) (sorry i didn't see these replies til now, YT doesn't send me notifications on all comments and i end up missing a lot of nice ones like yours :/ )
Thank you so much for creating this video and sharing your perspective. I think it's amazing what BTS has been doing to raise awareness for the stigma surrounding mental illness, and I firmly believe that's mainly what the storyline in their music videos is about. It's about losing innocence and losing yourself, feeling lost and feeling hopeless. But it's also about making it through those times and becoming a stronger person from it, learning to love yourself and your imperfections. Understanding that we never walk alone, because there is always someone out there who will empathize with us, even if they haven't had the same experiences. I love BTS and I love how much they care about each other, ARMY, and people in general. It's really heartwarming to see idols using their influence to help others, and seeing people be positively impacted by their messages. I can say without a doubt that BTS has helped me, time and time again, through my struggles. I hope we can all grow from our experiences, and get to a point of self-love. It's always important to do things that make you happy, so to anyone reading this, remember to make time for yourself and do the things that make you happy. Pursue your passions. Talk to people that make you feel good about yourself. Be open to receiving love from friends or family that want to support you and your happiness. Be happy. Today, tomorrow, always.
s e ɴ a ɨ i really agree with everything you wrote 💜💜 💜 thanks so much for speaking up, i teared up a little reading your comment honestly haha. they’re just so important to me and i know they’re just as important to so many others for these same reasons. it deserves to be talked about even more than it already is.
This is why I love BTS. Not their looks, not their fame, but the way they help people including myself. They have awesome talent and even more awesome personalities. They understand what people are going through and make it into something positive. Im 12 and have struggled with depression and self hatred since I was 10. I never really trusted anyone since my trust always got broken. So I just bottled my feelings and thoughts. I used to be very caring and selfless and sweet. But once my dad got in an accident, I changed to the opposite. I became depressed and started hating myself. BTS, they helped. I love myself a little more. Im opening up a tiny bit to people. Thank you for this video. And thank you BTS.💜💜💜💜💜💜
This is the most beautiful way I've ever seen someone describe BTS. You did an amazing job in explaining what BTS has been conveying through their mv's. I literally watched so many videos of yours back to back cause i actually really love the way you describe everything and your voice is just so soothing and calming. Thank you so much for this and I hope you keep making videos like this in future.
wow. your videos never fail to impact me in the profoundest ways. cried so much at this. i truly appreciate the time and effort you put into sharing your incredibly insightful thoughts on bts and their IMPORTANCE, something that is certainly felt by me in such a life-changing way. so, thank you, you're wonderful.
Amanda Häger 🌻 thank you so, so much. i’m honestly grateful for comments like these, it really means a lot to me. thank you for being so sweet and giving feedback. it really makes my day 🌺
Thank you so much for putting this video together and to share your thoughts with us! I think it's truly amazing how much these boys have done, in such a young age. They probably helped thousands with only being opened and honest, through their music. They never showed more than they actually are which is really respectable in a world that's sadly full of lies. I feel like BTS tries to make the world a better place, and (at least for me) they are doing a great job. I'd like to say, I really appreciate the amount of work, you have put in this video. You said everything that needed to be said, it was beautiful! Thank you!
Euphoria came on and then the tears pooped out. At that moment I thought of all my illnesses and i don’t know but that song always has a deeper meaning than they lead it on to be.
You just put my feelings into words, and it gave me chills...Very well done with script, audio, and imagery. I was sad when it ended. Thank you for taking the time to create this!
I love your videos so so much!! You can tell how much work you put into them and they truly are so heartfelt and meaningful and so professional 💛 Bts and especially yoongi really helped me deal with my social anxiety bc as you said in your video they make us feel less alone just by shedding light on topics like these 💛
Ngl I cried because what you said is so true! Mental illness is no joke and it really takes guts to represent the importance of mental health through art especially because it is a sensitive topic; people are suffering from it yet very few talk it out. People need to understand that there is a reason they've got the biggest fandom on earth.
I'm a new BTS fan so I didn't notice the message they were trying to send until watching this video... I myself have struggled with depression for 12 years but I've always been afraid to talk about it because I've had so many people just stop talking to me because of it.. which only made me feel even more alone in my struggle.. I spent most of my teenage years being there for as many people as possible to help them through their tough times but when ever I needed a shoulder to cry on suddenly no one was there for me... So over the years I pretty much keep my thoughts inside cause no one listens to me anyway
Dude i totally understand, my parents always make fun of my taste of music, and it makes me sad because they don't know what they've been doing, and how much they have helped people. I thought it would have been easier for my father to relate or understand how BTS expresses themselves, because he himself has dealt with depression but in the end my taste in music is like a taboo that we don't talk about. And I hope that someday they might come around, and see what they've been missing all along. ~ARMY 💜
my father is the only parent that knows i like BTS and even if i did tell him this he will come out with the same reply. I am a muslim and music is forbidden but only in specific cases. This is not one of them. Im not going to tll you all of them because you probably dont want to know but my dad is very strict in the religion and will never understand why i like this. I understand you although my problem is quite differant
Recently I read a book and at some point there was that topic about schizophrenia when I began reading it I felt uncomfortable and even scared and didn't want to open that topic again due to what I read an it's bad reputation .After that with some days I saw a video on UA-cam about a schizophrenian patient talking about that illness but I just scrolled down no desire to watch it , after seeing this video I changed my mind and I am going to watch the video and get more educated about it cz after all why not?right
I "discovered" them so late in my life. Just last year, but i am not sad about that. I fully enjoy the richness in their MV, the riddles and layers of meanings in their work and the hilarious silliness of RUN BTS. And i am not only impressed by BTS but also by ARMY. Over and over again. This is sooooo awesome and please don´t listen to others who try to belittle this. They just don´t see and understand.
Everybody has his/her different reasons why they like BTS. It can be their colorful MVs, their catchy songs, their choreographies, their visuals... (Or everything together. 😁) But when my friends asked me what do I like about them so much I just showed them this video.
omg i just looked at when this video was released, this is all even before answer, and mono, and most recently blue and gray. amazing how with how much they changed, they’re still the same in the best way
Wow... This just- this is incredible. I cried. My love and respect for the boys grows everyday, I'm happy and proud that these are the kind of people who rule the music industry. I'm sad that I'm discovering your channel so late, since you've stopped posting. Anyway, I purple you, thanks for creating such masterpieces for the world to see💜
I don't haave literally anything to say except the fact that THEY'RE GENIUS AND I LOVE THEM AND I AM SCREAMING INSIDE AND I CAN'T EXPLAIN....THEY'RE MASTERPIECE!
This video is... I don't even know how to describe it. Thank you for putting in words what Bangtan does, what they want to achieve with their music, how all of them help us in our strugglings. I'm so emotional right now. The video is so beautiful... your words, your voice, the music... our guys. I love it, thanks
Thank you so much for this video and putting everything together in such a beautiful way. I have been going through depression since 4-5 yrs now but I only started to talk about my mental health after I found them. They made things so much easier for me and made me realize that it's completely okay for me to feel the way I feel and it's fine for me to speak about it without feeling ashamed of my state. This video is beautiful and thank you for working hard
As a mental health professional with mental health problems and an ARMY, your accurate narration really touched me 😢. This a beautiful and appreciated video 💜💜, from your new subscriber 🤩
Thank you 😊 this means a lot to me! I've always tried to put it in words when people try to talk shit about kpop and bts, but this was so well spoken and thoughtful and exactly what I wish I could share with everyone else when I try to tell them why I love bts so much. Keep up the good work!
Wow this video was uploaded quite a while ago, how have I never seen this?? Thank you so much for this! Your analysis is extremely thorough and presented very pleasantly. I was actually moved to tears..
More beautiful work. Very eloquent. All the important stuff with no rubbish filler. Appropriate and moving soundtrack. Great use of images. Thanks for showing people who our boys are. Also you are talented and have a super bright future ahead of you.
I've read the comments first before typing this and we all have the same feeling. Your videos always gets us. I dont know you personally but through this i can tell that you as well is a gift from the heavens. 💗 Keep doing what you're doing!
This is so beautifully written, articulated & explained, thank u xxx Everyone needs to see this. I have a very small twt acount but I've shared this so at least one more person will come & find this. 💜
Thank you so much for making this, this is very lovely and eye-opening, some times I also forget how I should support those with any kind of mental illness, thanks for reminding this through this video and BTS
i completely agree with you on this but overexposure can also be a problem. I'm not in any way undermining the remarkable work BTS is doing that leaves the entire world in awe of them, but just highlighting what I have noticed in social media and the younger generation. the new generation has given rise to romanticizing mental illness . with the rise of talented and influential artists like Billie Eilish, who also speaks out about mental health, body shaming, and other taboo topics, young people are misinterpreting the message and now haveing anxiety or being mentally ill has become some sort of trend. i can not count the number of times I hear people joke about having depression or OCD. these are diseases that people have to suffer from and shouldn't be taken lightly. when mental health is taken lightly, people who actually suffer from it are not given the right kind of care and are brushed off as fakers. pls let me know your thoughts on this. have you noticed this? or am I just being too dramatic? sorry, I ended up writing an entire friggin novel here. EDIT: i just started listening to BTS and they have my FULL respect.
I absolutely agree that there are certain people who do romanticize mental illness, and it's a big problem these days. I appreciate that BTS doesn't do this. There's certainly a difference between destigmatization and romanticization.
oh.my.gosh. that makes me so happy hahah (i always hated my voice but it changed a lot when i got my tonsils out, and i sometimes forget that it sounds different now. so that seriously made me smile, thank you)
My eyes 🙈🙈🙈😭😭😭😭😭..this video needs to be watched by everyone because its the reality of life and trully happening nowadays. Even being BTS' ARMY or not, we can be a help to others. Lets spread more positivity and kindness to everyone! 😇😇😇
I agree!!! But even with or without in a fandom, we can bring or give hope to everyone and anyone. A friend or a stranger, near or far away, here and there! 😇
Army, I just want to say one thing.. Please, let us be a family and support each other forever, please don’t fight due to ships or bias’ and please, support those who need it. It’s the least we can do I love you Army xx
This was perfect and said exactly how I feel about BTS and their message regarding "Not Being Alone In All of This." After watching I was absolutely amazed that it only had 700+ likes - ?What?..Why?! I'm starting a reaction channel soon and trying to choose videos that speak to the deeper and more meaningful side of BTS. I'm a little tired of just watching revamped music videos and more shallow content. I hope you won't mind me using this video? My fellow viewers are teen Hip-Hop Dancers who Love BTS for all the right reasons:-)
Oh my, your vids need to be one of the source of Bts history, but the cracks video gain more view. I know, its a cope to escape sadness, but video about analyzing is also important for you to look inside and learn to cope.
Im not a fan of bts. I dont like their music which i think noisy untill i saw your channel n see the other side of it... Its so deep... I would like to know more.. Tq for highlighting this..
Hello ! I am a young army (discovered the boys last november with Run BTS) but they already left such a huge impression of me. But since I am relatively new to the Bangtan world, I'd like to know where the clips of the boys come from, if they are songs or shorts. I am really sensitive to the way they handle the theme of mental health and it makes me appreciat ethem so much more !
I love the way you think, the way you talk. I honestly love what you do. Could we ever talk? I'd really like to talk with you. You seem to be a really interesting person. If you don't want to, it's ok. But I feel a huge need to know who you are, what you're going through... I just hope you are able to show your mind to everyone, cause I feel you are an incredible person.
Aw that's cool, don't be scared! When i wrote this it was actually from the perspective of 'ok, what would i tell everyone who doesn't understand why i like this group so much, if they actually wanted to sit down and listen to me'. Even if whoever you're showing it to doesn't like bts as a group, i'm sure they'll have respect for what they do regarding mental health :)
@@dontworryimnotafraid7585 lmao I'm sure everybody wish they can sing better just like famous singers. But hey, we can just practice and practice efficiently to improve and get better. It a lot of effort getting the right shot if we stay in the right path. 😊😂💞 But still, you're voice is really calming. Nevertheless, really hope to see more videos essays kind of related to psychology or mental health, but that's just my preference. 😂 Really, It's rather soothing to listen while you're having some spare time to yourself from work in general. UwU
This is off topic but the part on 13 reasons why just made me felt like it was a poor example of mental health for some reason. I haven't watched 13 reasons why but I just feel it's uncomfortable and a bit unrealistic to some point... It would've been nice if it was Girl, interrupted or any other accurate depicted shows/movies than just... that, in my opinion... I don't know, take this a grain of salt.
I agree, I think 13 reasons has a very misguided depiction of mental illness, which is why those clips were used. My voiceover is discussing widespread problematic depictions of mental illness while those clips are playing. So you're right, that's exactly why i chose it.@Wen hui edit: i went back and watched that part cause i made this video so long ago, i couldn't remember exactly what i said lol. I did say the depiction of mental illness was "more forgiving", but all i meant by that was that it attempts to show a person with a mental illness as something other than "crazy" or dangerous in some way. That doesn't mean they showed mental illness (specifically depression) accurately. I have major beef with that show, and even included a little disclaimer in the description (about all the movies and shows i referenced). Anyways, i hope my thoughts come across clearly in my essay, but if not, i wanted to clarify since these topics all matter a great deal to me.
@@dontworryimnotafraid7585 ah thank you for your clarification... I really love how you're so invested in taking responsibility when it comes to this sensitive topic in general. Really, the whole "if mental health is excuse or not" really confuses me. For me personally, I didn't got a diagnosis (which i should of 2 years ago) but surely I am pretty sure I have depression and severe anxiety, to the point I'm already assuming I'm Borderline Psychotic due to how it clogs my mind to frequently change my actions to be more irriational and stupid... Others says you can really change your actions and for me personally, It's been really difficult to grasp on what is the cause of me being like this... If I have to believe my Mental disorders aren't the problem to my failure... I don't get it... And to make it more worse is the amount of people stigmatizing and desensitizing the disorder in general... I'm sorry if I'm rambling on this out of the bat, I just wanted to say that out so I won't keep it inside of me any longer. But anyways, thank you :)

This is so real and so true. I couldn't have said it better.
this was beautiful. thank you for making this and shedding light on both mental health awareness and bts as well
Amazing. It made me so emotional and the ending left me speechless but in a good way. I really enjoy these videos :) great content ♡
aw thank you so much, i'm glad
Thank you so much for this, great essay, well researched. We need more people like you in here 💜💜
I worked in hospital once, my colleagues were afraid of the people in the mental health unit... They're not god damn monsters ugh
This is a great video! Thank you for making this. I am sure it will bring more understanding to BTS and appreciate even more so.
aw thank you!
Most certainly welcome! =]
i completely agree with you on this but overexposure can also be a problem.

Crying I'm not crying😢
Thank you
Wow just wow
Ma'am where are those clips near the end of the video from? With hobi taking the pills and yoongi setting the room on fire?
Hobi’s clip is from the MAMA short film and I think Yoongi is from the First Love Short Flim
Army, I just want to say one thing..
Please, let us be a family and support each other forever, please don’t fight due to ships or bias’ and please, support those who need it. It’s the least we can do
I love you Army xx
This was perfect and said exactly how I feel about BTS and their message regarding "Not Being Alone In All of This." After watching I was absolutely amazed that it only had 700+ likes - ?What?..Why?! I'm starting a reaction channel soon and trying to choose videos that speak to the deeper and more meaningful side of BTS. I'm a little tired of just watching revamped music videos and more shallow content. I hope you won't mind me using this video? My fellow viewers are teen Hip-Hop Dancers who Love BTS for all the right reasons:-)
Aw thanks so much! And oh my gosh that would be so cool!! If you end up reacting to it, drop me a link~ i'd love to see what you guys think :))
In love with ur voice😍
aw thanks so much! 💖
I love the way you think, the way you talk. I honestly love what you do. Could we ever talk? I'd really like to talk with you. You seem to be a really interesting person. If you don't want to, it's ok. But I feel a huge need to know who you are, what you're going through... I just hope you are able to show your mind to everyone, cause I feel you are an incredible person.
omg this is really such a sweet comment, thank you!!
I'm stupid, so I gave you the wrong phone number twice. I'm sorry. It's +52 1 614 251 34 00
i'm messaging you from an app instead of with my real #, so i hope it works ok- but i just sent you a text! hopefully we'll chat soon :)
This video should have more views..
I.... Cried..
I subscribe to you bc this made me cry
I want so show this to a couple of people, but i’m too scared
Aw that's cool, don't be scared! When i wrote this it was actually from the perspective of 'ok, what would i tell everyone who doesn't understand why i like this group so much, if they actually wanted to sit down and listen to me'. Even if whoever you're showing it to doesn't like bts as a group, i'm sure they'll have respect for what they do regarding mental health :)
Its a little bit like NCT Documentary
You're voice reminds me of halsey... omg this is so calmong
haha damn thanks! lol now i just wish i could sing like her...
@@dontworryimnotafraid7585 lmao I'm sure everybody wish they can sing better just like famous singers. But hey, we can just practice and practice efficiently to improve and get better. It a lot of effort getting the right shot if we stay in the right path. 😊😂💞
But still, you're voice is really calming. Nevertheless, really hope to see more videos essays kind of related to psychology or mental health, but that's just my preference. 😂
Really, It's rather soothing to listen while you're having some spare time to yourself from work in general.
So you're right, that's exactly why i chose it.@Wen hui
edit: i went back and watched that part cause i made this video so long ago, i couldn't remember exactly what i said lol.
IM CRYING
What music vid you used from bts?
