I bought the same bag about 2 years ago. I agree with your assessment as the material doesn’t feel like good quality leather. I luckily only paid $100 for mine which I think more so influenced my initial impression of the bag. I eventually gave it away to a family member.

@@everydaykelly you’re welcome. Now that I don’t have the bag anymore I learned from you how to authenticate. When I did my unboxing video and review of the bag I couldn’t tell they were referring to the back of the bag 😫. Oh well it is gone to a better home now 😂
The same thing happened to me, the chemical smell is so strong I doubt it is authentic. The materials feel really plasticky, too. It's well made, but not worth the money.
That's too bad. It looks pretty. However, I think you need to send it back, you know good quality and if that's not up to the standard, get your money back.
