I actually agree... I don't like that "oh, Marina did a mistake, we fix It, Happy ending" Octoexpsnsion had a dark Lore, good ost and you moves where more impactful in game. Even the final Boss is better... Idk, I expected more. Still, the DLC IS incredible and is a fun way to try cool thing on the weapons and choose your difficulty

Pearl was manipulated by the game to become a drone with varous limitations and the purpouse to help eight as a secondary defense resource. So, hypothetically speaking, if our character got grayscaled and thus pulled into the memverse, it is possible that our main character just became eights player camera system.
Ngl its really fun, but I really wisued tbe story wasmt locked mostly by unlockables. Octo expansion was so great imo becuase of its amazing story progression, while this felt a lil flat. Though, at the end its quite fun! And hey, with everything in the expansion pass included, it was around only 10 dollars so.
The doc is good, the people who don't like it are mainly because they don't like rogue likes, in my opinion I liked that they did something new, but yes, it's missing things and it's not worth the $25 (I translated this with Google translate , I don't know English xd)
It's a roguelike. It goes with the territory. One of the tamest is Hades, where you have to beat the game 10 times just to start the process of the final ending, and that means going through the game gathering multiple resources and claiming all of the goodies by completing the game multiple times and using the Heat system of difficulty and making sure to max out the affection of every one of the gods. And don't even get me started with The Binding of Isaac and all of its dlc. A lot of lore comes from the collection and not the game itself.

Explanation for how you become Agent 8: On the train trip to Inkopolis Square, Neo 3 began zoning out, and when this happened, they started to get pulled into the Memverse. I presume that they became a Palette, so it's up to 8 to reconfigure the Palettes. That's where we go into 8's POV, where we control 8. And how we head back to the real world, like I read from another comment, I imagine it's like "Imagine Inkopolis" or smth like that, since Neo 3 is now stuck in the Memverse, so they 'replay' the Turf Wars in their memories, dreaming about it. It's only my guess, since we are still technically Neo 3.
I wasn't expecting Splatoon to go the way of Hades, but I can't say I'm disappointed with the gameplay. Story is pretty cool as well! I love how the DLC's are expanding Splatoon into different genres. A Splatoon rogue-like game would be so cool to see!

Seems to be the less popular opinion, but I liked Side Order overall better than Octo Expansion. I preferred the Side Order gameplay, just not a huge fan of the regular single player mode in splatoon. Octo Expansion was a big improvement over that, but still very sameish and still very largely “go from one end of the map to the other” in most cases. Side Order did something different and I super appreciate that. The lore definitely was better in Octo Expansion, and I’ll give it points for better atmosphere too. In both cases Off The Hook did a fantastic job at narrating and driving the plot forward. Best idols. ❤️
This expansion was fire! Well tbh the game was just salmon run in a tower with multiple floors, I give it an 8/10 the FIRE sound track automatically gives it +5 points and the story is okay.. which gives it 3 more points

I’ll be going up for the level Home-Turf Floor! *Hachi goes back into the elevator and Goggles jumps on the platform of the second floor and walks up the platforms, dodging the Jelletons and shooting the portals, completing the floor* (Goggles) I’ll be back! Just need to complete this next level Special-Surprise.Floor real quick! *Goggles rushes over to the third floor and immetadly runs to the canned special (Tacticooler) almost getting splatted but making it through the floor by shooting rapidly in an unorderly fashion, but still completes the floor* (Hachi) Booyah! I’ll be in the wheel for this next floor, because it’s a Splat Zone floor! *Hachi and Goggles switch places and Hachi inks the zone quickly and splats any Jelletons that try to obtain the zone, the floor slowly completes* (Headphones) Nice! I have to go complete this floor! *Headphones and Goggles switch places and Headphones pushes the Springing Spiccato off of the edge slowly, dodging any shots thrown at her, once the Springing Spiccato off the edge the floor completes* (Marina Agitando) Hahaha!
