As a black woman with afro hair, and I mostly wear it straight - please take my advice and not from those with European hair 😂
Get a silk durag from any black hair shop on nearly any high street in London. Or wear your silk scarf and put the bonnet over it - alll from the black hair shop. Pop a bit of oil on before you do this and your hair will be LAID. Also use rollers to limit hear damage. Please don’t be ripped off by fancy brands (unless they’re black owned) ❤

I have followed you for years!!! Well before you and rich were married. As another true curly girl who use to flat iron their hair daily, I’ve secretly hoped you would one day embrace your natural texture. It takes time and is an adjustment but I LOVE my natural hair now. You obviously look beautiful and I totally understand not wanting to but maybe one day 🫶🏼

Hi- stylist here. I agree, try a flat wrap with a silk scarf, then cover with a bonnet. I’m curly but I also have fine hair and I prefer a bonnet with a pull string. It’s a lot less compressing than a traditional bonnet. Hope this helps!!

I just turn that elastic part over the top of the bonnet so that the silk part is the only thing in contact with my hair and face. No lines, and it doesn’t slip off. You don’t need to buy a fancy bonnet - most stores that sell products for black people’s hair have loads of options, from bonnets to other types of hair coverings and they are cheaper there too. I personally use a bonnet since it is easiest for me.

I use a silk scarf to sleep in - I just secure it with three hair clips (the ones that bend in the middle and snap into place). One above each ear and one at the top. It still occasionally slips off if I toss and turn a lot in my sleep, but more often than not stays put 😊

Your new hair suits you so much! You could try the BamBonn for sleeping which isn't silk but a cotton and it's really good for curly hair to stop friction when you're sleeping, it's very light and comfortable x

I'm in a choir too and I've found that with songs I know really well, I can't listen to the original at all when learning my part - just keep listening to the choir version on repeat to get it in your head!

The lilysilk turban I really get on with. It doesn’t come off in the night but it’s comfy. I do put my hair is a really loose high pony before I put it in the turban just to keep it all in place but you can also clip it. Again using a silk scrunchie. X
I have the same issue, fine hair but tons of it so whenever it grow long or I go back to curls it is just too much. I actually cut mine on Monday into a chic below chin length and I am loving it!
Hair looks great! Would draining the corn more help? And maybe try Andieswim for swimmer options? They feel quite supportive but have some really nice designs and colours.

As for the corn - now, I can't speak for TikTok because I don't have it so I've no idea what the video tells you to do. However, I have the exact same air fryer as you do and if you're ever going to try the corn again, take the little shelf thingy out and make them in the bottom of the bowl. I've never done corn but I do chickpeas multiple times a week and they come out so crispy and delicious (200C, about 10-15 minutes, depends on how crispy you like yours, shake halfway through)! Best healthy snack ever! AND you can use the aquafaba (which is the liquid from the chickpeas) to do meringues or mix with melted chocolate and make a quick chocolate mousse (it is used to replace eggwhites for vegans apparently). Do keep us updated if you try the corn again please! 😊

M&S has some great swimsuits at the moment. I struggle as I have a really long body, so I bought an m&s sports swimsuit two sizes too big and it’s great. Long enough but not baggy.

Can I say that I would love you to do a swimming costume try on. I’ve just had major surgery and have a very cool but big scar on my tummy and I think I’ll want you to hide it for a few years. I’d love to get some different costumes that make me feel good in a normal mum body. Thank you for saying that you’d put yourself out there. I feel you on the swimsuit front. Not really anymore into bikinis and invested in the Odyssey one piece from "Stay Wild Swim" once I started breastfeeding. They have great ones that stay in place even with a big cleavage. And they are London made. Worth the invest. 😊
Can you fold the elastic band on your bonnet in half and stitch it down? You could also cut it down - you would need seal it with fraycheck or ask a friend to overlock it
Lily, have you checked colombian style swimsuits? - sorry for saying this, but I believe the options in europe are a bit boring. However, you can check colombian design, those are high quality and the styles are endless. I am also quite sure several options can ship worldwide.

They’re a US company so I don’t know about shipping, Grace Eleyae makes great satin lined sleep caps. I had the same issue with the back of my head as you, and this brand doesn’t do that to me.
Fellow person w/ bigger boobs who likes a one-piece swimsuit here! My faves are Summersalt, Andie, and Left On Friday (in order from least to most pricey), not sure if they ship to the UK but if you can get your hands on them they're great, and all of their sites provide really helpful info on sizing that I've found to be pretty accurate xx
Hi Lily, I don’t think you need to buy another hair bonnet. I wear one to bed too. What I do is I turn the elastic bit or the silk bit so that it sits on top of the silk and the silk is on my head. That way you don’t get any lines and the bonnet doesn’t slip off. That said, you should try buying your hair stuff from the black people hair products stores - they are much cheaper, same quality and you get better advise there. But don’t buy too many hair stuff, it can quickly get out of hand.
