Two things:
1. Korra is definately not Aang. You spite her, she will MURDER you
2. Aubrey Plaza as Eska is perfect
3:45 "you may express your joy through tears" followed by your look at each other was optimal comedy
“Zhu Li, do the thing” is a series staple and you know something great/hilarious is coming right after. I have also used it plenty of times in real life to wonderful effect
Zhu Li, not Julie, but yes it is excellent.
@ I knew I had it wrong but couldn’t remember the actual spelling, thank you
Credit to Tenzin, he handled Ikki's frustrations with her siblings SO well. And for the record, I also want to visit Blueberry Spicehead.
9:20 Korra and Mako casually inventing the first modern aircraft carrier launch. ;)
6:15 yknow that is a batman level of interrogation method
3:00 Baby Skybison tea party is the best therapy ever.
I love all the different problems and differences that these families have with each other and yet still talk about. Bumi about his inner guilt of not being good enough and his little sister who encourages him.
Even when we get older, we are guided throughout our lives by the same feelings that we learned in childhood. That's why it's always important to talk to each other.
And even if it's difficult, never end a conversation with "fine!" That always ends in arguing.
Varrick is such a fun energy in this show.
6:04 If I had a nickel for every time a protagonist interrogates someone voiced by Tom Kane to reveal he was just following orders from the antagonist I’d hace two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
Korra is still 17 and grew up on a compound, she has no real experience with judging people's character yet. You may think it's obvious that unaalaq is evil, but it's not to them. Not just from a narrative standpoint, but a lore standpoint. Family means everything in the water tribe, everyone in the tribe is considered kin in some way. Tonroq and Unaalaq may not get along that well but they're still family. You don't betray your family in the water tribe. That's why korra and tonroq were shocked that unaalaq would do something like this.
I really like these different views of all these different generations.
And I understand only too well how Ikki feels. Tenzin feels exactly the same, but he has a completely different view of his siblings than Ikki does of them, as well as of her own two siblings.
Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino and their fantastic team understood how children might think. And put themselves in their shoes. That is so authentic and lovely, i will always appreciate this show for that.
My brothers and I once got lost on vacation in a completely new place until a storm came and we didn't know what to do. We all blamed each other. When we finally found our way back that evening, we all realized that we were all to blame and the next morning we all played together again.
Children are generous and, above all, don't hold grudges.
You really feel the family connection when her mother says to Korra "I hate feeling Helpless".
Because that is litterally what drives Korra to her Korre.
Every decision she's made thus far is because she wants to help the helpless.
Could it be that she herself is afraid of being helpless?
All I'm saying is, apples don't fall far from the trees...
I love how both of you started not trusting Asami but with time she earn not just your trust but apreciation of how awesome person she is, and i'm pretty sure it is going on just from good to better, you have no idea how important she would become.
Okay.. can we please all agree, that this scene with all the Baby Flying Bisons is the cutest thing in this show ?
Unalaq is as intelligent as Amon but ten times as ruthless and power-hungry. Always beware of the charismatic people.
As always, enjoyed your reaction & discussion. Varrick & Zhu Li are a great humorous pair. And poor Bolin & his love life.
Varrick is pure enjoyable chaos energy 😁
Verrick is one of my faves in this show for sure. One of the funniest characters I've ever seen idk how they do it, scenes with him never miss
yess love your reactions!
3:12 Asami couldn'tve bribed the judge cuz it woulda ruined her company's reputation 😅 that bribe woulda been bad for business, bolin was the only option available 😅
I love your reactions so much!
1. Pabu in the robes with the hairdo is NOT HAPPY and I think it's more the hairdo.
2. I have a 19-year-old step-daughter and I guarantee you that anyone with a daughter or step-daughter in the 16-20 range will 100% recognize Korra's personality for better and for worse.
I remember being very frustrated with korra in these scenes too, but to be honest, she’s only just turned 18 and I was in a very good judge of character at 18 so I give her the benefit of doubt , love these reactions 🫶🏾
Well unalaq was a wolf in sheep clothing it’s not unbelievable that nobody suspected him his brother knew wasn’t a saint but probably didn’t know how evil he was
Julie does the thing 10/10 best character
Unalaq truly gets some big misses here as instead of it just being obvious to the audience that he is upp to no good witch could be argued isn't against him now its just actually Unalaq was behind everything so any real nuance is just Unalaq being bad. Now to be fair Tonraq did straight upp admit that he knew the forest was sacred and still decided to fuck it upp so even if Unalaq haden't set him upp he himself would still probably have done somthing like that eventually to get himself banished but Unalaq could not wait for his chance to be a jackass. Now he has just moved into objectivly a evil prick from just extremly sus. Its pretty bad when the audience is barly surprised that he was evil while the characters are like oh no how could this happen I mean Korra was basically still sucking upp to him until everything was spellt out to her witch to the audience again makes her look kinda dumb. I guess her and Bolin would be a match made in heaven as they both have terrible judgement of people. Unalaq did say that Korra as the avatar can't threathen war witch is something the only good points he can get are when he is just objectivly correct about a fact.
Speaking of Korra she was fully willing to threathen judge Hotah who while truning out to be croocked was not somthing that Korra even knew as far as she knew he was just doing his job at that point witch makes her just threathening him openly in court a complete psycho move. Even when she is actively threathening him later it was only because he made a choice she didn't agree with. Granted he almost had her dad executed but then again her dad did have a revolutionary meating in his own house witch is pretty damning even though he genuenly didn't know how far they would go. Also her making fun of Bolin being married to a clearly abusive woman is kinda messed upp and I say that as someone who doesent really care about Bolin. Of course its still kinda vauge if the abuse is played for laughs or not but still you know the would not even dare to try that if the genders where reversd.
Asami is back enjoy her while she lasts because she is definatley not getting sidelined any time soon guys.
Also the Aang family drama is resolved wooo hooo.
I should have try that back then, or my girlfriend do that to me: "You may speak" or something like that. Both answers would be "F*ck off" then. 😅. Eska is like the child of Azula and Mai somehow.
Verrick is such a great addition to the show xD he's so bad but so great,
I gotta be honest I think Varrick is my favorite character in legend of Korra!!
By far too it’s not even close for me 😂
6:13 Not his best day 😂
I love Zhu Li so much!
I really don't like how Bolin is treated this season.
I love Tenzin this episode so much.
hey, if i had a crazy ex-girlfriend coming after me with a look that said: "i will turn you into a puppet!" and was capable of bending water, i'd turn the other way and run while screaming too.
11:28 looks like the finale of Avatar the Last Airbender Azula there huh?
I so badly want to make a joke about something you said but I also don't want to spoil season 7 so I won't.
Good reaction
Are u guys gonna react to invincible season 3 anytime? Just wondering.
I CANNOT hear the Judge's voice without hearing in my head "The NEW. LEGO. VIDE-O. GAME."
