- This lecture is about various approach to object recognition, viz., Template matching theory, Feature analysis theory, and Recognition by components theory and its processing mechanism, which is primarily a bottom-up process. The emphasis on how memory & expectations helps in identifying objects is covered in top-down influences on object recognition. It closes with answering the fascinating question, why face perception is special?
Template Theory- 3:12
Feature Analysis Theory- 7:06
Recognition by Components Theory- 15:9
Thank you so much professor.
very well explained in simple English and simple examples.
Dear Sir, Thank you very much for this , it has helped me in advance of an exam.
Thanks for your precious and valuable information
which of these are top- down processing theories?
and which are bottom up?
Thank you for this video.
Thank yoou for this video! :)
so is our perception of objects more viewpoint dependent or viewpoint independent?
At what age do you think we began to learn feature analysis?
Object recognition theories and pattern recognition theories are same?
