+Joshua Sebbage an incentive cover is usually just a variant cover. So here is an example.. Daredevil #1 that came out a few months ago had it's main cover. Marvel released the same issue, but with different covers by different artists. Some of these "Variant" covers are more rare.. for instance, if you see a variant cover that is 1:100, that means for every 100 copies with the normal cover, there is 1 with that particular variant. Incentive variants mean that a comic book store will only get the "incentives" if they order a certain number in bulk. This allows certain comic shops to have exclusives. Variants are really made for completionists, those who collect comics and need to have every issue and variant.. its a money pit haha.. hope that answers your question!
