  • Starting beans today with our new-to-us Case IH pivot planter! The 1245 Case IH Early Riser Split Row. Along with my abundance of excitement for starting beans, and using this new planter for the first time, comes with a great deal of learning, obstacles, and determination to get this thing set up how we’d like it to be on a strict limited time available rainy atmosphere here in Central MN.
    Without challenges though? It just wouldn’t be as fun! I love the learning curve that I get to experience each and every day doing what I love! Farming with my dad! ❤️
    Featuring a MN No-Till / Strip Till operation.

    Hi Kel's thanks for another awesome video ,glad that you got to grips with the new planter looks like it's a bit complicated to learn. Great to see that you are not afraid to learn learn new things, adapt and overcome awesome. People only see you going up and down and think it's easy, it is stressful a lot rides on you getting it right so you have a bountiful harvest hopefully. Keep up the great work that all you farmers do take care and stay safe 👍 😊.

    I have an idea for your row cleaners. It will require custom fabrication, but it’s a good thing one of your cousins welds. Use a single wheel on your row cleaners just it needs to be centered on the row, you can’t just take one off and use it that way. I’d experiment with a row or two. But the way I’d do it is to have all the row cleaners push the residue one direction so you can maintain clearance.

      Awesome! Thanks for the idea! :) Appreciate that! :) We’ll definitely have to dive into options before next year’s plant season! Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

    Bought I’m a case guy but I’ll tell I bought a 40 ft planter case 1245 I fully rebuilt it and we have heavier clay in southern Ontario around Hamilton it was not great I had it in my case 250 magnum all it does is beep a million times ended up doing 800 acres with it bought a 179” john Deere planter. It works a million times better but the case has a good opener system just doesn’t close trench in heavy ground

      Thanks so much for sharing that! :) Awesome to hear from others who have or had a 1245! It beeps a million times here too! Lol I need to figure out how to adjust those settings :) Happy to hear the John Deere is going great for you! :) Hope all your crops are doing great!

      @farmingwithkels5264  Місяць тому

      Thanks so much for sharing all of that! :) Appreciate that! I’ll have to look into that more! Definitely troublesome with the no till trash now that it’s 15 in instead of 30! Hopefully can get something to work better on that :) Thanks for watching!
