- Story Mode Playthrough with Shihua. Game Intro Included. Game has no Ending or Credits BUT characters do interact before each fights so it's sort of a small cutscene if you will. I had no options to mess around with to change difficulty settings or such so I played with what I got. This May be an unreleased game but damn does it feel complete, nearly. It probably was intended for a Dreamcast Release at some point too. This is an Amazing game that never got to see the light of day officially. It has a Air Combo System, Parry Mechanic, a Pressure Gauge which lets you activate a sort of 'Fast Attack Mode' when full, Unique Air-Dashes for each character and even the ability to choose a Super Special Move. Best part is, it all works really well. Really is a shame it was never followed up after all these years too. Regardless, I, FightEmUp recommend this Rare Gem.💎 And of course Shihua...... 😈🍑

Love your playthroughs Sir.💪 I really like fighting games but just wasn't good enough and would drop them but watching your videos it honestly inspired me to get better and ngl I have improved on a couple of games like Tekken, SoulCalibur and Kof titles. I like this game. It has a Rival Schools feel to it...plus the designs are interesting and the pre-fight dialogue is funny. Happy final Friday of November.

A game that could have been something, but sadly never got officially released. But hey, at least it managed to find it's way onto the internet. Great Playthrough with Shihua!

@2BtheButt • Truly unfortunate but shit happens. Normally Arcade fighters only offer the 1 mode but this had multiple modes really showing the effort the put in.

Finding out this, as well as Force Five, existed was so painful... but it's way more painful to me that Kenju can't be made into a reproduction disc for the Dreamcast. _IT LOOKS SO GOOD!_ I don't know why this is one of those Atomiswave games that couldn't be "ported" to the Dreamcast like Dolphin Blue, Force 5, Faster than Speed, etc. from 2 years ago or something. Ugh, the lost DreamFactory fighting game here, with 2.5D gameplay, and that cool psuedo cel-shaded look where it's painted onto the texture like in Mega Man Legends 2 or something... dang I want this game to have been officially released!
Glad you're playing it though! More fighting fans need to know about this; this is another hidden gem in the genre right there with something like Buriki One, Garouden Breakblow: Fist or Twist, Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple, and Hinokakera (which I only just learned about thanks to GuileWinQuote). Love this channel because you keep finding these gems and showing them off so well.
@barry-allenthe-flash8396 - So Many Rare and Unreleased fighters still in the wild, Kenju being one of the most Top Class in my opinion.👍 Buriki One, now that's a game I didn't expect anyone to mention, very Unique controls/gameplay it had. Crazy game that I may just need to do it at some point.
Who knows, maybe someday we’ll get to play that unreleased Capcom All-Stars fighting game.

I've seen playthroughs of this game before; iirc I'm sure the same company was in charge of Force Five (which later became Jingi Storm).
Shihua's design is unique though
@buri.bii3 - Force Five was developed by Anchor Inc but you are correct it did become Jingi Storm after another company bought it, reskinned it and released it on Arcades.
Kenju was made by DreamFactory who also made the Tobal no.1/2 games. I have videos on Tobal no.2 and Force Five if you ever wish to give those games a watch😎👍

A little rough in the edges but you can notice this game had a great potential I wonder why they cancel it we are lucky the games has been rescued from the obscurity still hoping someday see a game called city heroes a clon of streets of rage 2 cancelled by sega with awesome graphics and cool enemy design

@ShaneDouglas713 - Those were my initial thoughts on Zine, he definitely gives of that Royal Vampire Vibe and he's also floating in the air. 🤔Sadly very little is known about the game itself, even when Shihua fought against Hanuman she mentioned 'Mephisto', which I believe is the special Orb she is holding with her and probably plays a role in the proper story.
