You NEED to see the Great Hall during Christmas in Hogwarts Legacy. It's incredible. The whole castle is beautiful during Christmas time.
I just got to winter time, and haven't been to the Great Hall yet. Now I definitely have to go see when I play later today!
@@amandahuff6111 It doesn't happen right when winter starts. You have to complete a few main quest missions first and then it'll happen. When "The Headmistress Speaks" quest becomes available, then it will be all decorated. It's amazing.
It took me until I got to the great hall and then the three broomstick to realise the Christmas trees and decorations. It brought back memories of the first book and movie
I actually gasped when the wand started levitating! This is something that would actually look really magical in a collection! Very beautiful.
I literally gasped when I walked into the Great Hall for the first time. I also teared up. It was an incredible feeling... almost as good as being there in real life.

Me too! That game sucked me in so much that I lost any idea of how much time passes 😂 I already finished my Hufflepuff and Slytherin walkthrough, I might start another as Ravenclaw.

Spoilers alert: The quest where you first ride a hippogriff I remember just having the biggest smile and say 'wow, this is just like magic' ! Incredible game

I cheer whenever any product has an Eagle for Ravenclaw!! 👊 As a Ravenclaw I get really irritated when manufacturers are too lazy to get it right.
Its not that manufacturers are lazy, its that they follow the movies not the books. The emblem and house colour was changed for the films.
Hopefully the TV show will get both correct.

In Australia this is $500! The game costs $90. This is not a $400 collectible… it’s worth $100-$150 at most.
Compated to whats included in other games with collectable edition’s it’s abysmal.

I just got to winter in the game and the Great Hall is decorated for Christmas. I just sit and stare at it. It’s so cool!
Don't forget the Kelpie Robe you get. Also, walking into the Great Hall it felt like I was home for the first time in a long time and it felt real for me

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan but to me this isn't worth the price and I also don't have the space to have that on display. Maybe if the book was usable like a Marauders map for the game or something 🙁
Thats why its collectors. You dont have space, you dont collect, thats okay.
Thanks for your input. I do collect. But visually, that book isn't worth displaying and there's no other function to it, so the price is riddikulus
The Great Hall looks wonderful, especially the stained glass windows and the magic ceiling. I’ve actually been using the game to help me process all the information I’ve been taking in about Harry Potter lately. My parents have always been very religious, so I grew up without the books and the movies. I only recently decided to watch the movies, and I just loved them, so I’ve been listening to the books on delivery at work, and I’ve been playing the game. Eventually when I finish the audiobooks, I’ll read the text versions of the books.
Just out of curiosity, when the elder students arrive at Hogwarts in the carriages, do they arrive at the area with the bell towers, where flying and beast classes are taught? That’s my best guess, since there are stables for the thestrals in that area.

Idk if you know this, but HBO Max or Max has The first Harry Potter on there and they added little quizzes during movie added animation for certain scenes to make movie more magical

Hogwarts Legacy is absolutely the best game I have played in years. It is immersive, and when I entered the world, I got tears just seeing the breathtaking artwork and the beauty of it all. I felt like I entered Harry Potter's world. I am hoping so much for expansion packs and future editions. They awakened in me the desire to have fun and be a kid again. I loved it. If they have an Oscars-style award for game developers...they deserve the top prize. Simply brilliant.

As a fellow PC player, I highly doubt the game will go on sale. It's well worth the money and it looks amazing even on low quality settings, which is what I have to run it at.

I already beat the game I wanted to do it 100% but I got some bugs that don't let me to get the book 100% completed. I'm not going to delete my save but going to start again with another house. The game is pretty good and for sure the best for a wizarding world related videogame. I hope they are making at least one DLC
I hope they add quidditch as a DLC - also I might be wrong but I read somewhere that you have to 100% complete in all 4 houses to actually get 100% because they all have separate quests specific to their house!

Great Video. The book looks great on my shelf but I agree that its a shame the detail on the bottom is hidden because it is very well done. Looking forward to more live streams now I'm far enough ahead that there won't be any spoilers and I can just enjoy.

I have seen other reviews on this, and I still enjoy watching yours the best! I am still torn on whether I like it enough to get it, like it is really cool but I think I was suspecting something different for the collector editions and maybe thats why I'm hesitant.

As a physical media collector, all i cares about was the steelbook, so i couldnt justify the massive pricepoint. They should have made the deluxe esition have the steelbook and the collectors edition have both the steelbook and the book/want mechanism.

I pre-ordered the game. I got it but can’t play it because I don’t have a ps5 😢. My mom’s boyfriend was supposed to take me to a store to get one but then he told me it was a waste of money (it was my money) then a few months ago he got one for himself and refuses to get me one 😭😭😭

When I saw this collector’s edition I wasn’t impressed… I was expecting something different,like 4 different collectors edition for the 4 houses or almost a statue of Hogwarts or of the protagonist.I play a lot of games,so I have seen collector’s edition that are too better than this.The game is very good and I love it(I have done the platinum)and I am so hyped for the quidditch game that will come in the future ❤
Same, my hubby is a video game collector and so I've seen some epic collector editions and this one was a little disappointing in comparison.
Put it on a stand and then you would be able to see the back.

It's temptying to buy the game to get the book.
I first wanderd around in the whole castle before i walked into the great hall, but the first feeling i had was pure joy and magic haha.

Do most PC's even have disc drives anymore? I haven't seen one in ages! That said I'm not the most knowledgeable on this particular subject. But I would have assumed there is only a digital download for PC but Google says there is one available? So maybe!

Im going to be honest here, i am actually very disappointed in the game. I guess i had high expectations or something, idk. It fell flat. Everything is very repetitive. Just, as you said, walking into the great hall felt special but other than that nothing really feels familiar to me. It doesnt make me feel the wizarding world it just makes me feel like its a random game about wizards. It makes me sad cause i really looked forward to this game for months.
