Just so you know, there is a secret ending if you achieve 49 stars (out of 50 possible) during the campaing and do absolutely nothing (deploying or attacking, research and production is fine) for 5 minutes in this mission. You don't have to nuke eachother afterall.
Because unleashing a small SUN on the planet to delete nuclear weapons wont vaporize the rest of us too. have you ever heard of Operation Plumbob? because I think that's appropriate.
It's the narrative for me, really. After Stealth's famous Dreadnoughts series I really want more of these large strategy games to have well done narrative campaigns.
36:00 That victory text is not meant for you Stealth. You understood the assignment. Its also written as though you didnt do anything until the 3 minute mark when everybody else declares war on everybody.
17:45 "Can we possibly defend against this?" Sort of. Laser defence stations have a minimum distance between each other that you have to space them out, which means that you cant concentrate enough of them to defeat everything guaranteed. The mobile laser defences do not have a minimum distance but they seem to be much worse at their job. My best run was taking 140 laser defence stations and spamming them everywhere, but I do not think its really possible to defeat every single nuke that flies in your direction.
Way back in the 80's , the film 'Wargames' coined the best phrase for this, "The only winning move is not to play." (spoiler alert for those that havn't seen the movie.) A computer designed to simulate warfare almost touches off nuclear armageddon. It is dissuaded from doing so by being forced to 'learn' that nuclear warfare basically ends with both sides losing. Hence, the quoted phrase.)
It can be a slog, but try playing conquest mode with a Zero-Zero start. (Zero points, Zero units) If you learn how to open the (technology) gap and take some territory early enough, you can be comfortably nuke-proof by end game and take the planet for yourself.
21:45 If you want to go full offense you probably need a setup that would guarantee you win on the first strike which would probably require closer to 80 silos or something.
[after playing out all possible outcomes for Global Thermonuclear War] Joshua: Greetings, Professor Falken. Stephen Falken: Hello, Joshua. Joshua: A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
26:05 Planes are pointless for the last scenario, SAMs are so powerful that theres no way to get through them. You should have timed the launch so that everything would go at the 3 minute mark (execute the strike plan that takes 90 seconds at the 1:30 mark) or not included your airbases and carriers with your silos.
You may want to know this about the algorithm: I only see your new videos during the members only period. They don't show up in recommended after they go public.
@@kaadenkelley2241 It's a quote from 1983 movie "Wargames" said by a supercomputer after it has simulated dozens of possible scenarios of nuclear war and concludes there's no way to win it, so it decided that instead of playing the game of nuclear war it's better to play a game of chess.
General Stealth! Intel via carrier pigeon suggests that with the PLAN Satellite directly over the Continental U.S., a first strike attack via missile silo might not work, and a focus on the Nuclear Submarine might be more beneficial.🫡
"I don't wanna be the first player to start slinging nukes."
Seconds after reviewing your carrier being sunk by a nuke.
7:45 "Strap in because this has the potential to be a very long video."
Me knowing what this mission is: "No, no it does not."

40 Midcourse ABMs loaded with 250 Pure fusion ABMs carried this mission for me with only 400k casualties.

"It's simple: Create a dome of pocket stars around the United States."
Honestly, I think these are the best videos since Red Dragon. Really enjoy these.

A CITY HAS BEEN BOMBED 🗣
Structure Destroyed 🗣
Player: "Hooray, I've completed the campaign without using nuclear weapons!"
Mission 11: "I'm about to ruin this man's whole career."
"What you're seeing is advanced warfare"

You have to use nuclear ABM for the AOE effect vs. MIRV. Laser defense is good vs. individual warheads, but you cannot beat MIRV spam without AOE.

But that is not true, and the AI research proved this

The global economy will suffer.... what global economy!?

Joshua: Greetings, Professor Falken.
Stephen Falken: Hello, Joshua.
Joshua: A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
Oh no, the economy!
Loved this series a lot. My favorite episodes were probably desert storm and korea, will you be playing any multiplayer with people?
Would be neat to see if a turtle was possible
You probably should've tried the Counter DEW satelites to destroy the enemys nuclear assets. They are combined with a spy satelite very powerful
I hear you, Stealth.
When has war really solved anything?
Except for the excuse for the next one.
“A CITY HAS BEEN BOMBED! A CITY HAS BEEN BOMBED! A CITY HAS BEEN BOMBED!” -Alert Woman, 2047
“Guess we’ll have to do without the help of the Canadians today”
The Canadians: “sorrey”
.......and then the aliens showed up.
Love this series! Also, are you going to be playing with other people in the future?
Scary as this seems like what’s happening right now, all heading down the toilet.
37:00 I enjoyed this a lot!
A strange mission.
The only winning move is not to play.
Maybe you should consider a nice game of chess?

That's really weird. Thanks for letting me know
I think I heard that a city has been bombed a few times there.
How about a nice game of chess?
Are you taking that from a movie because I'm pretty sure that's from a movie

PlS try new campain and try to get all objectives + use all WMDs, bdw you could get best SAMs, and nuclear ABMs, forgot to raise DEFCON
Ah Defcon version 2
Please give the newest mod a shot and let me know what you think.
Which mod?
@Stealth17gaming The 4 Horsemen (it’s the very first rough draft just for testing)
It’s about to get a pretty hefty update to better differentiate the new divisions
Anyone played this on the steam deck?
Yeah. It works great on my deck
Wow
thats why i dont like the campaign, imho the way to play ICBM E is custom with nukes banned
this is what i call m.a.d.
Zzzz the gameplay is dang boring. It need real time strategy
