Sorry to people on old generations of consoles, but Giants making the decision to drop them was the best thing for this game. This is incredible. Easily going to be the best Farming Simulator yet. Thank you, Giants.
I’m on old gen console and was at first disappointed BUT after seeing this video and the fact we’re getting gps I think fs25 will be one I’ll be upgrading for great video scroft thanks for sharing 👍🏻
I am glad they did. FS22 didnt look that much better than FS19 because it was being held back by the old consoles. It really bothered me to that point but i still bought 22 about 6 months after it was released. FS25 ill probably get as soon as it comes out. Wont preorder it but still
I'm also a little worried about the misty fog being there too much, but i think the sun seems to be quite low in most of these pics so i think they are just trying to show it of as much as they can because its new. I think that there will definitely be times where the fog disperses
19:57 after watching the Giants video plus the announcement video the water is not drained out but as the rice grows it absorbs all the water, which is so cool and make me excited to see if that same thing can be used for flooding from heavy rain???
Scroft, Did you notice the rain being blown by the wind in waves at 25:47 across the field? The rear tractor tyres look too high for me I would like to see them mash into the road surface a little better. At the moment it looks like they're just tiptoeing across the surface. I have seen other pictures that show clear skies and clear ground view, but just like you I thought at first they were using it to cover up a myriad of sins. As for the floating trees, really what did you expect after all it is a giant map.
Start complaining about floating trees and so on when FS25 is released and the floating trees are still there. Don't make assumptions based on what is shown now.
Loved it and so excited to play FS25 when it comes out!!! You pointed out a lot of things I missed, well done! The big takeaways from the video for me was that GPS is now for all platforms, crops and tree quality is hugely improved, the draw distance is hugely improved and I didn't see any of that drawing in the distance in the videos like we have in FS22, and the water was hugely improved, and barges that we use to cross the river. Also I noticed that I was not able to tell where the edge of the map is in these videos. I think it is also really important to keep in mind is this is an early stage and it should look even better in November. But the biggest thing is I can't wait to see what the modders do with all these new features!!!
@@randoguy7488 That circle size is similar to FS22 lower settings but the progressive circles and the transitions from one circle to the next are hugely improved. Also, the rendering of the trees in the distance is a night-and-day improvement. I suspect that given this is an early product, it is most likely on lower graphical settings (the higher-end graphics and fine details are most likely going to be added later in development) and should be hugely improved by the release date, just like it was with FS22 at this stage and release day.
Can you imagine George on that rice planter, getting stuck in the middle of the field. And Scroft just laughing. Please Scroft get your voices out of my head....
10:30 FYI - The Mississippi River is the 4th largest drainage basin in the world. I don't think the stream pictured in the preview is the Mississippi River- probably a tributary. The Missippi River is hundreds of feet wide and over 2300 miles in length.
I watched the giants video... In the rice fields the rice sucks up the water so when its time to harvest the field is dry..... And for gps there is more info at the weekend.
So glad to see all these features coming to the game. I have already experienced version of most of them in other games, and although Scroft is concerned about the amount of showcasing of the fog, personally I think it has been much more subtley and realistically done than I have experienced in Ark, where I do use a console command to remove the heaviest fog layer (the blinding type where you can't see the head of the dinosaur you are riding) but leave the volumetric effects on. If the ripples shown indicate anything like the fluid and foliage interaction we get in Ark now, and Giants have it so that trees sway as you pass in a tractor due to the wind you make, it is going to be so immersive...
I agree with you - hoping that the mist is more realistic, in that it goes away as the sun comes up and warms up the day. Otherwise I can’t wait to see what you can do with it - Cheers
No, definitely not the Mississippi.. I live in South Louisiana near the Mississippi and it much much larger than that.. Here in the states they plant with regular seeder or rice seed can be dropped by airplane. Then they flood the fields so the rice will grow. They pump out the water before harvest. Many farmers here in South Louisiana also raise crawfish in their rice fields, it quite a lucrative business. I have a bunch of rice harvest videos on my channel if anyone is interested..
Scroft, combining the Route 66 sign in the pictures, with the size of the River, leaves mainly the State of Missouri, though both Arkansas and Illinois aren't out of the running.
Looks good...Definitely gonna get a ton of feedback from everyone. Some great improvements. Cant wait to see more. Maybe animal collisions, 3rd person view as a standard feature as well.
6:54 isnt that manure? The fog is one worry for me. In the US. Dont think there should be fog that time of day in August. My guess, gps will be a "hired" worker that you dont pay for, that will stop at the end of the field. 24:43 that field texture looks good. Not sure if its planted or plowed.
Being from the central US I feel as the American map is set in the southern US. Maybe Mississippi, Alabama, southern Missouri, area. This part of the US is typically more warm and humid year around which I think would be the right climate for rice in the states. I think FS25’s graphics are better in the means of the foliage with the crops, the trees look better, the lighting through tree’s, and the mist. I hope that it isn’t only during morning and evening also. On the other side when we seen the Massey driving at the shop overall the graphics seem to be on level with FS22 with some improvements. To me it seems like Oxy’s lighting feel from Court farms with additional features. Overall I am happy with the lighting of FS22 but hoped for slightly more in the next game on looking more life like. Thank you for keeping us up to date Scroft. Wish I could use your affiliate code to pre order but I prefer to have my game on steam. Cheers Bud!
FS25 isn't catching my eye like fs22 did, it is completely possible that I will change my mind in the future as more information is released but solely based off of this I will not be getting FS25
Just from a graphics and realism increase it is way better than past games. My biggest knock was always how patchy crops looked, looks like they have fixed it. Theres only so much they can change and add
I was kind of hoping this time around that the equipment store and maybe some production buildings would have working overhead doors where you could enter the building. Since Giants introduced occlusions for buildings, basically hiding vehicle renderings while inside, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to enter some of these buildings. Serving a piece of equipment would be performed inside the building in a work bay, not all done outside of the building in the parking lot.
I think they're just show casing the mist as a new weather effect. (Even though there was fog in fs17) overall, I'm happy with this four months from realise footage.
I'm wondering if the better graphics and such will affect the multiplayer. Maybe it will but maybe with the old Gen stuff gone it will balance it out. Obviously people's internet speed will always play into it.
looks amazing, still want to see things like ground deformation, equipment, more gameplay etc etc but this makes me really want to get it. thing is i need a new pc first lol
That was a great insight to the new game really interesting really good video like how you explained to the best of your knowledge mate 👍. And of topic I'm trying my best to catch up with the farm hand I'm a couple behind new job crazy hours but anyway great watch buddy top work 💪👍
Unfortunately theres no indiciation of what the GPS functionality is. we need better AI worker support similar to courseplay to allow workers to follow, unload from harvesters etc and do a lot of the tedious things with some of the crops.
With all this focus on water, I'd be very sad if they don't sneak some sort of fishing mechanic in here. Especially with the blue boat we saw near the bridge on map 3.. And on gameplay 3, you can see the NH harvester head - It's moving to stay on the ground! They're no longer rigidly attached (vertically) to the harvester itself
@@Scroft Hopefully... i know it sounds annoying as hell to yell all the time that we want to see dynamic ground, but as someone who is sticking with this franchise for about 15 years, im getting tired of all of this... on the other hand, growing the rice in the greenhouse before planting was a nice feature.. also, GPS (finaaaalllyyy...)
@@iamjames8200 I'm hopeful. It looks better overall and with the older gan being dropped it should be good. But I'm waiting on gameplay features. That's my focus 🤞

>integrate couple of mods to base game, add a new crop no one asked for and slightly improve graphics
>best FS yet
The next gen consoles have been around long enough now that if you haven’t upgraded yet then it’s your own fault and you should get left behind
oxys maps are going to be breathe taking. hopefully modders can decide when mist appears as the mist is 100% too much.
A crossing barge. Otherwise known as a ferry!
Looks nice
It would be great if they could get particles floating through the air like hay or grass as you drive down the road or loading your trailers
and its nice to see the water moves when you drive in it, and I'm wondering how the mud will look like
Thanks for this mate, I think that bunker was a muck pit tho... considering the steam effect. Keep it up mate!

21:50 The render circle is smaller than before, one vehicle lenght, right in front of the combine.

New cattle breeds? The brown cow seen at the dealership had white legs, which the ones we have now doesn't. Didn't look like a brown swiss either
They look to me like beef cattle. It's looking like giants will be adding more cattle breeds to fs25 which is good. So beef and dairy.
This has got me super hyped, I'm thinking I wont need mods right off the bat just gonna really enjoy what is on offer
