@@tomcampbell6384 Well he is 77 years old..Voice changes with age...lots of people dont have a great voice after 50...he is fantastic..I dont think he smoke or if he does..at this age..he can do whatever he wants..fantastic voice at whatever age..and he still does great harmonics..and plays the keyboard, guitar, bass, etc.
Lisa does not age. Is she a vampire? She is so cute, but moreover her voice is still so great! Thank you for this production. I may watch it a time or 3 more....
This song is as perfect as a song can get, even after all these years. Lisa is just as cute as she ever was, and the desperation in her voice is just so perfect in this song. Still gives me goosebumps.
@@sentientflower7891...i agree with you and i'm a huge Daryl Hall fan. Just be the backing band on this great track. Or transpose it to a key he is better in and then he can do the lead vocal and she can do backing vocals, which would have been interesting. Anyway he's a legend and she wrote one of the best songs ever! All in all a good time was had by all.
Hermoso episodio. No lo habia visto, me sorprendo de como Lisa se conserva tanto y mantiene su hermoso voz intacta. Gracias Daryl. Beautiful episode. I hadn't seen it before. I'm surprised at how Lisa has preserved herself so well and kept her beautiful voice intact. Thanks Daryl.
I would buy this whole episode on vinyl if I could. It is just a gem. This one as well as the episode with Train. Wonderful interpretations of songs we have loved for a long time.
"Keep it personal without naming names." That's the best description. You want it personal enough that people can feel something, but vague enough that anyone could imagine themselves in it.
This was one of my favourite songs of my youth. Never forgotten. I am so glad to see this in 2023! I can't believe I still knew most of the melody and lyrics. Thank you for this. Early Christmas gift for me!
Daryl, thank you for giving us this show for free. It is so great to see you pal around with other musicians and get off on different styles, arrangements and energies. You are a generous host. You seem to put guests at ease very quickly. I have been watching your show since it's inception and will continue as long as you and your friends are doing it.
I so enjoy DH - I've been a Hall & Oats fan since the beginning and I've watched and enjoyed every episode of DH's over the years. I particularly enjoyed this one with Lisa and the amazing song Stay.
I worked at KDGE The Edge in Dallas and had the opportunity to meet her. Such an amazing talent. I actually think she sounds even better if that's possible.
Beautiful duet, beautiful harmonies, beautiful talent on display. I think everyone who has seen this was left a little breathless when the song was over. Thanks for putting this out there for us, Daryl. This was one of your best episodes yet.
I’m so happy to see Lisa Loeb at Daryl’s House. She’s great and he’s great with such a huge platform to bring his work and the work of others to all of us.
I remember seeing Lisa Loeb about 17 years ago she still looks and sounds amazing. I love hearing the back story on how songs have come to be. Also, is there anything Daryl can't sing? I've loved him almost my whole life!
It is (and has always been) those songs where the singer-song writer talks about love and heart-break, or even a spat, as is the case here (as it turns out at the end) that causes the listener to relate at a time when they need to the most. This song is hopeful. I saw Lisa at a small concert hall way off the road (I was so determined to find it) Duncan Shiek (who is also great-both went to Brown U.) fronted for her, he, I think, also played in her band when she came on. It was a very cool evening).
Lisa Loeb hasn't aged a day, plays fantastic, has such a wonderful voice, and is still so beautiful 😊
and a great sense of humor too
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... love her, but we've all aged tbh.
Her voice remains as striking as ever!
I totally agree
Agree! And humor... and talent! What more can one ask for :)
That moment of silence after the last note says it all. They're just in awe of what they did.
It's insane
Why isn't Lisa Loeb a huge star? She's fantastic.
In my heart 🎉 2:58
Didn’t sell her soul to Hollywood
Thankfully a blessing @@ngp150
Anytime Loeb is filmed,..........it takes forever to decide on what year the video is from.
This woman never ages.
she is a vampire ... vampire never ages ..
@@tonyquek1 With everything digital, the only true test of her vampirism is to get her to look in a mirror!
Oh my God her voice is still as strong as it was in '94.
Healthy Lifestyle I'd bet
Nearly 3O YEARS.... HOW?!
I never thought this song could get any better. I was wrong.
Holy moly. She sounds exactly the same 30 years apart. Truly amazing. Don't smoke kids.
Fantastic comment!
TBH, I think her voice is even richer and more beautiful
You suck!!!! You reminded me of how friggin old I am.. 😁
I was just hoping that Daryl had quit smoking. He sounds amazing also...

Signature Lisa Loeb masterpiece. Top 100 songs ever written. Beautiful!
That 1:48 sent me instantly back to the day... thank you Mr. Hall and Lisa...
I'm 56 and I always thought she had that sexy librarian vibe to her and sings like an angel 😊
I agree!
this is no question the best music content currently available. thank you Daryl.
No doubt!! I’ve enjoyed seeing some of the greats, and he’s introduced me to several new artists. Rock on Daryl!
Oh please! He's not even the best member of Hall & Oates!
Tucking restraining order? Oates?

I absolutely love 'Live from Daryl's House' it's like an addiction for me!!! Wish I could just quietly hangout!!❤
Thanks, Daryl, bringing back Lisa.
You forget what great musicians these people are, you know? Respect.
I will never forget

Wow her voice is way more powerful than it was 30 years ago. Wow!
Amazing performance! Give some extra love to the drummer-his pocket is so deep and true.
not a little heavy handed here though?
That was stunning. His musicians are such naturals. And Lisa…wow
Decades invested
This song never needed anything other than the voice of the lovely Lisa Loeb and her guitar.
Hall no Oates, don't want any of them
The background harmonies were nice but definitely didn’t need Daryl’s voice.
She is such a beautiful soul ! I wish I could have appreciated her ability 30 years ago . I missed it .
This song is as perfect as a song can get, even after all these years. Lisa is just as cute as she ever was, and the desperation in her voice is just so perfect in this song. Still gives me goosebumps.
Daryl's always great, but I really loved the pure and clear sound of Lisa's vocals. Sounds like an angel! Love these videos!
This is a case where Lisa's voice doesn't need any other voices interfering with the sound. Sorry Daryl!

@Daryl Hall, thank you for inviting these great singers and musicians to your studio to sing with you. It is totally awesome
Look at them just beaming at each other at the end. Lisa especially must've been over the moon. I love it.
Lisa is a fangirl, lovely rendition of this classic song.
I love the smile that spreads across their faces when the guests truly start to vibe with Daryl..pure magic.
Daryl Hall is such a pro hall of Famer. He knows how to accentuate his voice at the right time in her magical song!! Daryl’s house is fantastic!!
Wow that got me emotional. Such a signature song. Lisa Loeb is a treasure.

So much better that American Idol , AGT, the Voice etc, real talent. Best music channel on UA-cam.
The first few seconds of hearing 'Miss You', and im right back in the early 90s. Really enjoyed this video.
My God, the hair on the back of my neck is standing up, fabulous
Chills on the harmonies at the end Daryl and Lisa!!
lisa loeb didnt seem to age. her voice is still great. felt nostalgic. reminded me of my 90s high school days
The intro to this song still gives me a chill.
Same!
Lisa and Daryl.. Awesome mix together... Strong... Bold... Fresh...Band on Point with the Smooth Groove!
They should make a record together. It’s like they fit together musically. It would be great.
And once again, Daryl and a wonderful guest, Lisa Loeb, cause an old guy to weep with joy.
There are four masterpieces here. The song, Lisa Loeb, Daryl Hall(actually a national treasure) and that wooden floor…
Wow she has such a pretty voice. They are really lovely together. That was just a beautiful performance.
I would buy this whole episode on vinyl if I could. It is just a gem. This one as well as the episode with Train. Wonderful interpretations of songs we have loved for a long time.
Music started dropping off a bit during the 90’s, but it was light years better than today’s mainstream.
Best Music show on the internet no matter who the guest is!
Great musicians having fun playing together. The internet at its best! Love it!
Lisa and this song is timeless.
Wow! She’s still so beautiful even after all of these years.
I don't know why, but I didn't expect Lisa Loeb to be on Daryl's place. Nor did I expect to find out how Daryl inspired Stay.

Wow. I wasn't a huge fan of this song in the 90's when it came out. But I really LOVE this more modern rendition. Great work!
Lisa Loeb is amazing. One of my favorite artists. AMAZING singer and songwriter. ❤
This needs to be recorded and released. They complement each other so well!
Lisa is still as beautiful as ever and Mr Hall still has it! This is what real music is about. I miss the music from the 80’s and 90’s….
Beautiful performance! Your voices blend beautifully together !💕

With the story at the start, that smile she does when Daryl starts singing seems like she finally fulfilled her goal with this song
Amazing sound Daryl wonderful
So glad Daryls house is back.
Daryl’s band can play anything. Unbelievable!
35 years go by and these two look and sound the same. Excellent
Kid gloves on this one. Such a nice song. Brilliant.
My god I’ve never traveled back to the 90s so fast.
I love the band. They’re all like “do whatever you do, we’ll sing around you…we’ll figure it out!” And it’s just magic.
That's what a collaboration between two professionals, two peers, should be.
