I think that Takamagahara, the land of the divine gods, was circling ever closer than Izumo to being absorbed into the black hole, so when they invaded, the humans assumed that the kami were evil. It was this first blood assumption that forged the lie of the us VS them mentality of the residents of Izumo. The lie was that with each passing life from Izumo, Takamagahara would lay claim to its right of occupancy. When It was just down to Acheron to fight for her right to exist, she slew literally everything in her path without reconciling the difference between a neighboring planet's destruction and her own right to continue the legacy of Izumo. When she was the sole survivor left standing, what would Izumo's continuation even equate to but a place of desolation and despair? She could have easily just let the kami win so that their species could at least exist, but in the end, she slew everything for the sake of the unwashable blood debt that she can never repay because everyone she ever loved no longer is alive to appreciate the closure. It is in this final action that she condemns both planets to erasure by ultimately forging the Naught blade that causes the black hole to go unstable and wipe out both planets, ultimately making the war for survival pointless. Those she fought for did not survive, and those she fought against killed everyone and ultimately gained nothing. I would call it a pryrrhic victory, but that would assert the idea that both sides won equally when in reality both side lost everything and made their entire existence mean nothing, hence nihility. People wanted Acheron to be Finality, but Finality asserts the idea that there is a clear resolution where something dictates that there is an end. In Acheron's case, she seemingly gave in to accepting that there was no end at all because there would be nobody to cherish a budding result in the end. Ironically, the story wasn't even a zero-sum game in the end because Izumo didn't gain anything by Takamagahara's loss, and Takamagahara didn't gain anything from Izumo's loss. It was as if the game was rigged from the start and that the sum would never be more than zero." -but, ofc, the ending could also referencing Elysian Realm and how Acheron has all the memories and proof of izumo existence
I would take it as an alternative side of the Flamechaser era Hi3rd chose to add measures for 2nd attempt at fighting Honkai even if it means their own destruction. Despite being called by some as a “theory”, the parallel between this and HI3rd’s Kevin are a dead giveaway. The “narrator” oni and Acheron are being voice, on JP and CN, by the same actors as Kevin and Mei. This is the Honkai team devs and Shaoji as the writer, there is no way it’s just a coincidence on the other servers, the guy IS responsible for the Flamechasers. The speech the “oni” gives against Kami is almost 1:1 to Kevin’s speech against Honkai. On both stories, when we reach Origin (Mei), the initial authority of the End (finality) is Kevin. White haired oni (demon) feels like Acheron's version of Diabolical (?) Kevin. Which is his active honkai reaction or chimera form, I don't quite remember what exactly it was

In Honkai Impact, there are relics called Divine Keys that are forged from the core of a slain Herrscher. Kinda like these blades. One of these relics is in Welt's cane. A copy of it, but still. One of them is the cube that looks like Luocha. It's also established in-lore that the term "Honkai" is only used by people on Earth. Other planets/worlds call it differently. Mars or Venus, I think, call it the "Abyss" (sounds familiar?).
Izumo is definitely in parallel to the advanced civilization of Mu from Earth's Previous Era. Both civilizations faced an outside force that sought to destroy them, and faced them by making weapons out of the defeated enemies' bodies. The Firemoth Organization of Mu made the Divine Keys, and Izumo made the twelve Sentinels. One big difference, however, is that Izumo's Mei is a warrior. Their Kevin might also be, but he could be the scientist in Dr. MEI's place. Still, as an alternate version of Kiana, Kevin was very important to MEI. One thing we see in this trailer is that after the Sentinels are broken, Mei's companions become corrupted by the Kami and turn against her, which happens after they defeat the Kami of Corruption and create _Maw_ . We also see Izumo reforge the broken blades into _Origin_ , wielded by Mei, and _End_ . Given Kevin's consistent thoughts that there is no salvation, yet they must be heroes, it would be easy to conclude that, similar to in _HI3_ , he stole the Authority of the End to prevent a true Kami of the End from manifesting, and also so that Mei could defeat _End_ using _Origin_ , which broke both blades. We also see that Mei was fighting for an extremely long time, perhaps to the point that fighting any threat she perceived was all she know how to do. Including IX. But she couldn't cut IX with the reforged _Life_ , instead being changed into Acheron, and her sword became _Naught_ . Twelve Sentinels also means twelve wielders, but in the most recent samsara for Earth, there were thirteen Flame-Chasers. Izumo did not have an Elysia, and it's entirely probably that Mars did not have one either, since her equivalent seems to be the Cocoon of Unwoven instead. Mars and Izumo both having encounters driven by their own Cocoon of Finality indicates a possibility that any other planet could also do, in which case, they had better hope for an Elysia.
Homu Labs does great videos on lore around HI3. I suggest watching the Welt Yang video and then going through the cutscenes, and then going back to the Homu Labs videos

Thought / Sentience (mind manipulation) 9. Root / Star (control) 10. Form / Domination (hivemind and control over an element) 11. Bind / Binding (energy flow manipulation) 12. Maw / Corruption (destructive manipulation ; corrosion) 0. Origin (Which Mei-Senpai became after Elysia gave it her and is what Acheron inherrited; the beginning of things) 13. End / Finality (absolute control and annihilation ; there are also is GGZ's Kiana who was called Herrscher of the End instead of Finality because she destroyed worlds instead of saving them)
About time, only mention of Honkai in this game is a welt voiceline. Although, one can argue that the honkai is just a manifestation of imaginary energy thus everything we encounter that uses that energy, like the stellaron, fragmentum monsters, the aeons etc, could just be another form of it.
I swear they pick the male VA same as Kevin on purpose. Kevin is the one that made Mei as a perfect herrscher.. Kevin is the one of the biggest contribution on Mei's growth, directly or indirectly. I mean he is the reason why Mei went to ER and leads to her being the HoO. My theory is that Kevin "Oni" of Acheron's world may also be the contribution factor on why she ends up using origin.
Unfortunately it’s going to take a little more than an “HI3 101” or even watching the HomuLabs video on Mei to really understand the references in this one. You have references to the Herrschers, specifically the Previous Era Herrschers (and even introduced in order), the Flame Chasers, Divine Keys, the concepts of Origin and Finality. I’m not saying you have to be an all-knowing expert on HI3 to get what it’s saying and think it’s cool, but an HI3 player is especially going to appreciate this.
Acheron's tale is completed already; her tale is at an end. And yet she's still there after all of that, after everything is lost. It's a dark mirror of Welt's past, where titanic battles and colossal wars spanning an entire world had started, brough to a climax, and concluded, all within his tenure as a leader. Just as the tales of the High Cloud Quintet will no more echo through modern speech and be left in the annals of history books. What lies here only serves as somewhat amusing tales. The bygone past about the Twelve and Two who never became heroes.
I mean, they are just references to Herrschers not actual Herrschers. Finality/End scales way higher than Aeons in lore, so if it were actually the Honkai from Hi3, the result would have been different, as the CoF's goals wouldn't line up with the Aeon of Nihility.

I will only give you canon lore and feats. Yes, some people do over exaggerate the Herrschers unfortunately. But I will try not to biasd when talking about them.
i saw an edit of this trailer to a particular version of honkai world diva and it actually made me feel almost as emtional as particular hi3 cutscenes made me. hi3 is so worth it.
This whole trailer was extremely Honkai Impact coded. Specifically Previous Era Honkai Impact coded. Also, for important characters, the JP and CN dubs most certainly do go out of their way to get the same VAs for expies. At least when it come to Hoyo games.

I know absolutely nothing about HI3, but if Aventurine is right and she’s an Emanator, then I think she’s the Emanator of IX. Given her general attitude towards Izumo creating the swords and the name of her sword, I think Nihility works fairly well for her.
Well it's pretty much confirmed here. She was talking about her world being under IX shadow. And in the end she used her blade to attack it's shadow which transformed her into an emanator. Unlike other aeons IX doesn't choose his emantors, you become one if you're able to resist the pull of it's shadow, which she did by directly attacking it. Not to mention that her path being the nihility is a dead give away.
So far from what I've seen Acheron is not Raiden Mei and has never been, her timeline is just VERY close to the impact 3rd one. If you know the game it helps you understand the scales of what is going on because of comparison, but there is no related lore in it. I'm pretty sure the male voice IS the Kevin of star rail but he won't be named Kevin cuz it's the same relation as Mei and Acheron and the Shogun. Similar guy, could have same dna even, but different story.
I found something interesting in the Acheron Myriad Celestia trailer, when the narrator talks about 70,033 blades it is the number of herrschers in Honkai Gakuen universe, in the Japanese dub the narrator is voiced by satoshi hino (kevin va from honkai impact and honkai gakuen and he was raiden mei boyfriend in past era of honkai impact)❤

-Acheron's home planet and backstory seems to be an au/parallel universe of mei's where mei is left all alone, everyone died, and no one she loved is there anymore, causing her to slowly give up on anthing positive she once held and finally accepted nihility
-there was a really good interpretation which I personally thought of myself which was put to words incredibly well by another commenter by the name of PixelleHearts on CatWithBlueHat's video explaining the story (its very good i recommend it) which goes like this:
"... the lie was that Izumo kept telling itself that the invaders, the thousands of kami, the Yaoyorozu, descended upon their land to simply invade and kill... rather, I think it was that they were seeking a way to survive with what little time they had left. I think that Takamagahara, the land of the divine gods, was circling ever closer than Izumo to being absorbed into the black hole, so when they invaded, the humans assumed that the kami were evil. It was this first blood assumption that forged the lie of the us VS them mentality of the residents of Izumo. The lie was that with each passing life from Izumo, Takamagahara would lay claim to its right of occupancy. When It was just down to Acheron to fight for her right to exist, she slew literally everything in her path without reconciling the difference between a neighboring planet's destruction and her own right to continue the legacy of Izumo. When she was the sole survivor left standing, what would Izumo's continuation even equate to but a place of desolation and despair?
She could have easily just let the kami win so that their species could at least exist, but in the end, she slew everything for the sake of the unwashable blood debt that she can never repay because everyone she ever loved no longer is alive to appreciate the closure. It is in this final action that she condemns both planets to erasure by ultimately forging the Naught blade that causes the black hole to go unstable and wipe out both planets, ultimately making the war for survival pointless. Those she fought for did not survive, and those she fought against killed everyone and ultimately gained nothing. I would call it a pryrrhic victory, but that would assert the idea that both sides won equally when in reality both side lost everything and made their entire existence mean nothing, hence nihility. People wanted Acheron to be Finality, but Finality asserts the idea that there is a clear resolution where something dictates that there is an end. In Acheron's case, she seemingly gave in to accepting that there was no end at all because there would be nobody to cherish a budding result in the end. Ironically, the story wasn't even a zero-sum game in the end because Izumo didn't gain anything by Takamagahara's loss, and Takamagahara didn't gain anything from Izumo's loss. It was as if the game was rigged from the start and that the sum would never be more than zero."
-but, ofc, the ending could also referencing Elysian Realm and how Acheron has all the memories and proof of izumo existence

And for here the lack of existence of an Elysia and Kiana made a huge difference as well

Despite being called by some as a “theory”, the parallel between this and HI3rd’s Kevin are a dead giveaway.
The “narrator” oni and Acheron are being voice, on JP and CN, by the same actors as Kevin and Mei. This is the Honkai team devs and Shaoji as the writer, there is no way it’s just a coincidence on the other servers, the guy IS responsible for the Flamechasers.
The speech the “oni” gives against Kami is almost 1:1 to Kevin’s speech against Honkai.
On both stories, when we reach Origin (Mei), the initial authority of the End (finality) is Kevin.
On Acheron’s red texts on 2.0, when she encounters Caelus, she tells that he resembles a guy whom she had to cross blades in the past. And The first weapon of both Caelus and Kevin were baseball bats.
The oni being white haired is just icing on the cake.
Not to mention the line: "The road to salvation doesn't exist" is way too Kevin
White haired oni (demon) feels like Acheron's version of Diabolical (?) Kevin. Which is his active honkai reaction or chimera form, I don't quite remember what exactly it was

In Honkai Impact, there are relics called Divine Keys that are forged from the core of a slain Herrscher. Kinda like these blades.
One of these relics is in Welt's cane. A copy of it, but still. One of them is the cube that looks like Luocha.
It's also established in-lore that the term "Honkai" is only used by people on Earth. Other planets/worlds call it differently. Mars or Venus, I think, call it the "Abyss" (sounds familiar?).
Izumo is definitely in parallel to the advanced civilization of Mu from Earth's Previous Era. Both civilizations faced an outside force that sought to destroy them, and faced them by making weapons out of the defeated enemies' bodies. The Firemoth Organization of Mu made the Divine Keys, and Izumo made the twelve Sentinels.
One big difference, however, is that Izumo's Mei is a warrior. Their Kevin might also be, but he could be the scientist in Dr. MEI's place. Still, as an alternate version of Kiana, Kevin was very important to MEI. One thing we see in this trailer is that after the Sentinels are broken, Mei's companions become corrupted by the Kami and turn against her, which happens after they defeat the Kami of Corruption and create _Maw_ . We also see Izumo reforge the broken blades into _Origin_ , wielded by Mei, and _End_ . Given Kevin's consistent thoughts that there is no salvation, yet they must be heroes, it would be easy to conclude that, similar to in _HI3_ , he stole the Authority of the End to prevent a true Kami of the End from manifesting, and also so that Mei could defeat _End_ using _Origin_ , which broke both blades.
We also see that Mei was fighting for an extremely long time, perhaps to the point that fighting any threat she perceived was all she know how to do. Including IX. But she couldn't cut IX with the reforged _Life_ , instead being changed into Acheron, and her sword became _Naught_ .
Twelve Sentinels also means twelve wielders, but in the most recent samsara for Earth, there were thirteen Flame-Chasers. Izumo did not have an Elysia, and it's entirely probably that Mars did not have one either, since her equivalent seems to be the Cocoon of Unwoven instead.
Mars and Izumo both having encounters driven by their own Cocoon of Finality indicates a possibility that any other planet could also do, in which case, they had better hope for an Elysia.
Homu Labs does great videos on lore around HI3. I suggest watching the Welt Yang video and then going through the cutscenes, and then going back to the Homu Labs videos

Going by her reaction to Stelle, there very well may have been a Kiana. Her world just died regardless.
The devs really wanted Mei to suffer. Now they had to take it to the nxt lvl by having Kiana missing from her life.
I swear they pick the male VA same as Kevin on purpose. Kevin is the one that made Mei as a perfect herrscher.. Kevin is the one of the biggest contribution on Mei's growth, directly or indirectly. I mean he is the reason why Mei went to ER and leads to her being the HoO.
My theory is that Kevin "Oni" of Acheron's world may also be the contribution factor on why she ends up using origin.
Let me help you by telling you that name means White Haired Oni. So like they could not be making it more clear.
Unfortunately it’s going to take a little more than an “HI3 101” or even watching the HomuLabs video on Mei to really understand the references in this one. You have references to the Herrschers, specifically the Previous Era Herrschers (and even introduced in order), the Flame Chasers, Divine Keys, the concepts of Origin and Finality. I’m not saying you have to be an all-knowing expert on HI3 to get what it’s saying and think it’s cool, but an HI3 player is especially going to appreciate this.
Demmm they hyped up those swords as references to the Herrschers only to be devoured by the Nihility
Acheron's tale is completed already; her tale is at an end.
And yet she's still there after all of that, after everything is lost.
It's a dark mirror of Welt's past, where titanic battles and colossal wars spanning an entire world had started, brough to a climax, and concluded, all within his tenure as a leader.
Just as the tales of the High Cloud Quintet will no more echo through modern speech and be left in the annals of history books.
What lies here only serves as somewhat amusing tales.

I mean, they are just references to Herrschers not actual Herrschers. Finality/End scales way higher than Aeons in lore, so if it were actually the Honkai from Hi3, the result would have been different, as the CoF's goals wouldn't line up with the Aeon of Nihility.

i saw an edit of this trailer to a particular version of honkai world diva and it actually made me feel almost as emtional as particular hi3 cutscenes made me. hi3 is so worth it.
This whole trailer was extremely Honkai Impact coded. Specifically Previous Era Honkai Impact coded.
Also, for important characters, the JP and CN dubs most certainly do go out of their way to get the same VAs for expies. At least when it come to Hoyo games.

Honkai world diva plays a few times, and the start of nightglow plays for a few seconds when they introduce the sword that corresponds to the herrscher of flame 🫡
I know absolutely nothing about HI3, but if Aventurine is right and she’s an Emanator, then I think she’s the Emanator of IX. Given her general attitude towards Izumo creating the swords and the name of her sword, I think Nihility works fairly well for her.
Well it's pretty much confirmed here. She was talking about her world being under IX shadow. And in the end she used her blade to attack it's shadow which transformed her into an emanator.
Unlike other aeons IX doesn't choose his emantors, you become one if you're able to resist the pull of it's shadow, which she did by directly attacking it.
Not to mention that her path being the nihility is a dead give away.
So far from what I've seen Acheron is not Raiden Mei and has never been, her timeline is just VERY close to the impact 3rd one. If you know the game it helps you understand the scales of what is going on because of comparison, but there is no related lore in it. I'm pretty sure the male voice IS the Kevin of star rail but he won't be named Kevin cuz it's the same relation as Mei and Acheron and the Shogun. Similar guy, could have same dna even, but different story.
Yeah it's similar to GGZ were it has a similar story, but it's not the same world as HI3.
Acheron's story could be made into a separate game & I'd 100% gonna play it.
