- I ordered the Amazing Yamaguchi Spider Gwen (Reissue) from Amazon and I might've gotten scammed... I really can't tell if it's real or not, so I decided to just review it anyway. Let me know down below if you have this figure and if you think mine is a bootleg or not.

Oof... Unfortunately you got the bootleg version. The joints are a dead give away. The original version would've had the signature clicky joints and their joints usually has a cross symbol to it. By the looks of it these are friction joints instead of the revolver joints.
Yeah, it’s definitely disappointing. But I guess that’s what I get for trusting Amazon lol
What is the problem with amazon? The figures I get from Amazon rarely have any issues whatsoever.
@@beebziecollects it's not the bootleg, from someone that bought bootleg it isn't in this case, the bootleg doesn't came with the inside art, and the articulation is too tight for been a bootleg if it's amazing Yamaguchi, all the bootleg from amazing Yamaguchi the articulation are very loose, and other thing, is the paint is to bright for the bootleg Gwen

You can tell if it’s a bootleg if the marvel logo isn’t on the right bottom corner in the front of the box, just a small tip if your looking for an authentic figure

I've had this figure for a while, and I guess I lucked out and got one with good QC. Regardless, that unmasked head is still a complete abomination.
First rule: Never trust any market place. I ordered the Pharah and Mercy 2 pack when it was on sale... got Reaper. A opened, obviously played with, missing parts Reaper. As for Spider Gwen, I have the KO and one difference I noticed is that the elbow joints on the KO are white and red, not pink. Also the hip on mine is light purple instead of white. Funny enough though it looks like its one of the few times where the KO giraffe neck is actually accurate.

I think you just got bad luck on this one. Mine came almost flawless with no paint issues at all. With just one under the arm pits, as you mentioned. To me, it is one of my favorite figures from revoltech.

Well, at least if you put it on a shelf and see it from far away, the QC problems won't be noticeable, it's still a good figure
Mine does not have any issues from paint or tight joints but I do agree the face is extremely small which is a shame cuz I like the comic Gwen design
I got the reissue from BBTS and it's 1:1 as you described, splotches, cheap plastic and all. Likely not a bootleg :/
Nice review! What's the next Yamaguchi figure you're going to collect? (or just any figure you make a 9 minute review video on). Also are you only going to be collecting the Spider-Man line of the Yamaguchi figures?
I'm happy you enjoyed! 😁 and I'm shooting for Carnage to be my next Yamaguchi figure but I'm struggling to find him right now. Otherwise, I really like the Catwoman one. And yes, I plan on getting all of the spider related Yamaguchis over time and some Mafex here and there!

I got this YEARS ago when it first came out, never had any QC issues. Seeing as you bought yours more recently, sounds like you got a knock off, unless they did a reissue.
If it has plastic in between the joints of the figure out the box then it’s not a bootleg, thats the main thing to look out for

you can fix the clicking with a blow dryer, fyi, hot water on your imports can ruin the joints just use it on the marvel legends

Soooo I guess I just got the WORST ONE……the unmask face won’t stay own and it looks really small and fits weird as hell! I like the accessories and what really made me want it but after ordering this I’d literally never get another unless I could pick it off a shelve? Quality Control really Failed and especially in my case 😳.

I'm no expert when it comes to bootlegs (I only own one AY and it's an old one), but it seems to me that they might have given you a bootleg figure in an original box. I say this because the instructions here 1:35 only come in original sets (please correct me if I'm wrong), but alas, as another user mentioned, those joints reek of bootleg.
I heard that reissues get rid of the clicking sounds on the ratchet joints in certain areas, but even so, the original joints would still have that cross symbol in them.
Also, the original comes with plastic wrapped around the waist and hips, though we didn't see an unboxing it's also a giveaway.
Then again, I don't own any current AY sets and sadly there are not a lot videos which can help differentiate them just by looking at the box. It doesn't help that current bootlegs now even have the Marvel logo in both sides of the package.
If the figure was fake then it would not have a plastic phone it would be paper or poster board so urs is real

Gwen comes with a cell phone because shes constantly on it o_O and yes this is the real figure and the neck thing is why i bought the figuarts.
The L shape hand if for the anime cutsie pose where the point to their cheek. Yamaguchi is all about making marvel characters Anime or video game like. The best example is Wolverine he looks straight out of Xmen vs Street fighter.

I own the original and the bootleg versions. the bootleg has bigger and fatter feet. on top of that, the biggest difference is that the bootleg version does not use the correct joints, which throw the figure's proportion off a little bit. I actually bought the bootleg version twice because the first one came with two left thighs. the incorrect joint problem is hurting the aesthetics a lot of more in Psylocke bootleg than the spider gwen

Amazon was the place to buy revoltechs😮 back in the day. When they were cheaper. Guren Lagan for 30 bucks, king gainer 15 bucksMan times have changed. But regardless any kaiyodo product I’ve bought from Amazon always deliver in quality. I always just make sure it’s from Japan though I don’t mind the wait time. Their copies are usually just better.
