Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi 004 Spider-Gwen. In this video you will see how to spot a fake, bootleg, counterfeit Kaiyodo Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi figure..
The Original / Authentic Figure's sculpt is topnotch and has a very sharp detail, good quality paint job, tight joints, and is easy to pose, I had a great time posing it and playing with it and to add to that the accessories / extra hands and faces looks really good and fits perfectly well to the figure. I can't complain anything about the Legit Amazing Yamaguchi Spider Gwen, she just looks so cool and snappy. Revoltech really did a great job here..
On the fake side, as you can see in the video, you can really tell who's real and who's fake at first glance, the figure feels really cheap to the hand compared to the sleek finish on the original counterpart. Paint job sucks, pegs doesn't fit well and you can see in the video while I was trying to pose it the torso joint got broke. I just fixed it with a Mighty Bond glue. on the good side of the bootleg, some accessories looks fantastic, I can't really tell which is which but the mobile phone accesory is just a piece of plastic that has no details.

@@privatecabo8400 I'm honestly not sure if you can get her officially, a few months ago I tried looking her up in the official Revoltech website, and she was no longer listed. You might need to buy her from a reseller.

I just got a Gwen figure new, but mine doesn't have an "X" on any of her joints. Everything else seems legit though. Does anyone know if this is something Revoltech used to do, but no longer does? I know Gwen recently got a reissue so maybe that's the type i got?
Is the reissue version like mines so yes is the original, I bought three of them side by side the bootleg and two original with the one original has the X on her knee joints because is the first figure and the reissue one doesn’t have the x but more stiff joints and more balanced if i say so myself, but yes is the original. As for the bootleg one the hood is spread wide and doesn’t wanna close much and her joints is smooth and move to much plus you can see some texture of the figure which is different than the original, hope i can explain and help
Oh also the reissue version once you move her joints it make crunches sounds while the bootleg doesn’t so keep in mind
Same here mine doesn't have the X on the joint but have Manual so it's real gladly
Yeah we in the same boat buddy but rest assured, It is original. I got the reissue version from BBTS and it doesn't have an x either. However, paint apps and everything is spot on, and comes with a manual, and the Kaiyodo brand seal. I woulda preferred the clicky joint version though but oh well!

I noticed that you opened both right up. Is there no factory sealed tape on the original. Haven't bought a Revoltech figure before. Is that normal for their brand?
yeah its normal, they dont tape their boxes. I own many revoltechs, they've been doin that for a while.

Now you can only find a bad copy of this figure that is even worse than the bootleg shown here. The sculpt doesn't event match with the original one. Looks like it has been resculpted from scratch.
