Unfortunately, manufacturers put that California label on pretty much every fountain. 95% of them have never been approved by the state fire marshal. You can’t purchase those in California. Just the items in the state fire marshal’s list. Some items from DFS, world class, TNT, Phantom and Black Cat.
I mean you’re less likely to be caught I guess. If the average police officer drives by and sees a fountain they won’t investigate and see if it is approved on the list. I wish we had larger stores in California, there is a market for it, and there are so many better fountains for the price out of state than in state…
Some of the DFS stuff I’ve bought in California is wild. Heck I had a few fountains from TNT blow up on me a couple years ago.
TNT and Phantom are the duopoly here in my part of the state. The other brands simply don't exist here. :/
You also can't light off ANY fireworks in most counties where I live. Central coast san luis obispo

When I lived in Cali , Nevada became my best friend during this time of year.
We always put our fountains on top of a 6' ladder for a little more altitude.
i love fountains because they are safe to do pretty much anywhere, you can have both color and noise, and the clean up is super easy!
In our part of California, (unfortunately) we can only have "party poppers" and those "snap" things. (We have a lot of vegetation fires) Soooo, that's why I have to live vicariously through youtube "Pyros" LOL

See I wouldn’t hate California so much about their fountain fireworks only law; if they just made the prices affordable.
Agreed, I understand why they don’t allow aerial fireworks but the fountains here cost more than 500 gram cakes and 24 pack canisters. At these prices people would rather spend a little extra on gas money and drive over to nevada

Michigan had a similar ban decades ago thank god they removed it when i was too young to know now every firework store in Michigan is selling 7 inch shells lol

I live in one of those States that sells fountains fireworks in Oregon.. The sad part is it only comes once a year and I can't buy them.Year round that's what I hate about this state. The sad part is it only comes once a year and I can't Buy them..
I've never seen or heard of these ones before. Where I live in California the only fireworks we can get are by the TNT brand. Their stands are open for only about one week at the end of June into early July. This year I hope to get their Launch Pad Heroes assortment. All the fountains in it are space and astronaut themed.

My local firework store has a 5 minute fountain
Where in California could you even get these? Wild dive boot shape fountain is the only one I’ve seen.
If these firework brands had stands they would sell them here, but since its a TNT and Phantom monopoly, its the only companies we see here, but there is one in Norcal called fireworks unlimited that sells Winda, Black Cat, Dfs, etc. TNT bought out many of the companies that used to be in California.
@@Show-cv4tx for sure. I always try to be at Unlimited right at opening. Counting the days. Due to caregiving I wasn’t able to go to Nevada or Arizona this year. And it’s getting a little too hot time wise with the checkpoints. And actual heat in general.

Funny. Every time I see a video about some launching a salute that sets off car alarms it is in California. Their firework laws are about as effective as the no littering signs.

They don't enforce it on the 4th, but my town has worse firework laws than california ! I read the statue line by line, and they list every single type of firework except for the white pop it. Even sparklers and large red snappers are illigal !! WTF ?

Ironically only Insanity is sold in CA. Even if there are good fountains they aren't sold in the state. Which is why CA Fireworks are dogshit and super overpriced.
