An awsome set up and a wonderful collection of classic synths. I recognise most of the synths but some I did not know and found myself spellbound, I would live in that room if I had the chance. Thanks guys for the great work. Synths rule.
I really like your selection of synths and drum machines, very balanced and well-organized. In common I have the Tr-909, OSCar, Eventide, and SH-101. Cheers!
A collection of classic synthesizers ..... and a Roland JX8P. Sorry but I couldn't resist that! JX8P owner/lover. P.S. Can I have your ARP Quadra as a kind of reparations repayment?
I could have done without the background bloops the entire video. I wanted to admire this crazy ass collection of rarity but some of the background noise made me go insane.
sadly I think it's quite rare that gifted musicians and gearheads are the same people. When they are, the music is beautiful. But more often than not, the people with huuuuge studios end up making music which is so concerned with equipment or technicality that it forgets musicality, IMO.
@@aleksandir1780 One of them is certainly very pasty looking. Probably spends so much time in the studio that he never gets to see any sunlight. Still, he is from the land of Nosferatu.
thats your average "i have much money so i buy expensive synths" berlin setup. whats more remarkable is that these guys seem to have no idea what to do with all that :-)
Great job on coming up with an original name. Kraftw- I mean Handwerk Might as well call yourselves Handwank, at least that’s original. And how come people who have so many synths can’t string anything together that makes musical sense? Posers.
People who claim that those old synths sound 'better' for whatever reason should go visit a doctor and have their ears checked. Secondly I would like them to explain what 'better' sound is. Based on what standard will you determine 'better' or 'worse' sounding ??? Please wake up and get real. In 'Aanalog believers' thinking, I make i.e. Sylenth sound so fat and weird, that you simply will forget about all the old crappy synths. Analog is so overrated and became such a snob thing that it gets hilarious. I am 54 years old and owned a studio in the 90's stuffed will all kinds of exotic analogs that would make 'believers' jerk off. Glad I've sold them all. It's a myth. Anyone stating that a Juno 6 sounds fat is just fooling himself. Of course, all owners of vintage synths having payed shitloads of money will try to justify the mythical story. And finally, they will record their gear in a cheapo ADAC. It surprises that they spend tons of money on vintage synths, but you find crappy monitors and ADACS in their studio's . No more comment. And if you still try to argue, check for some blind tests on UA-cam that prooved that people simply can not tell the difference between the old crappy gear and VST emulations. That's is the reality. The only reason to buy a vintage synth is possible collection value.
You are right. My Arturia SEM is just as good sounding as my vintage Oberheim Two Voice SEM. Same goes for my OB-X vs OP-X, my Jupiter 8 vs Arturia Jupiter 8 and my Prophet 5 vs Arturia Prophet 5. I should sell them all.
Sorry I have to respectfully disagree VST's come close and are convenient but the do not reproduce the imperfections of hardware I play a digital based hammond xk3 its close but a real b3 sounds better ( and yes I play through a leslie 2101 ). I have a Moog phatty stage II its a insanely gorgeous synth analog dream. Try to ab a vst of an ob8 and tell me the software version sounds better I call BS on that been playing Synths for over 30 years and Analog will always rule imho. And I have yet to hear a VST that can faithfully replicate a MemoryMoog imho the greatest poly analog ever made.
Imagine caring about people liking analog synths. People are welcome to create art in whatever way they want. Do what you do, let others do what they want to do. Really stupid to get upset over how people want to make music.
So much legendary gear. Cacophony in the background .
I'm glad that someone other than me said it. Er, sorry, I didn't mean to say that!
It seems the more synths people have, the worse the music they make with them. Money doesn't buy musicality.
"Someone's launched an 808" 😂

02:06 - The Synthex sounds absolutely beautiful. I want one so much that I want to cry.
That might just be the most desirable machine in their collection. Can I have that AND the Quadra?!
Sell your car and buy a Synthex!

can i ask why whenever demonstrating an arp, a really unmelodic sequence is used, it hurts my soul
snop doggy doge Yes, you are right!
Because WE HATE MELODY!!! LOL!!!
cool vid for having all those great sounding synths
Ooooh maaan. I could spend all day in there.
Sound treatment on the flat walls will go a long way. It doesn't cost much to throw up a few squares.
Nice collection
Great video of an awesome studio! Sweet
Cool instruments and nice presentation
I'm embarrassed to admit I'm drooling...
I just say as you said it... just "wow", and is a fantastic video of synth :)
Awesome work!
Great video

I would love ttto see more stuff like this :)
Holy fucking shit...hope you guys have a great security system.
not too shabby ... whats the story around the acquisition of each synth ... every piece looks brand new !!
Incredible studio

a clean, well-lighted place.

I love studios like this I'm going to have my own lol
Any insight on the back end of this? I see the converter they're using, whats everything plugged into to feed it?
Studio or Museum, we can only dream of this
Wow and Wow!!!
Just came to look at the synths.
Mooi speelgoed jongens. Hier Yamaha ES7, Ensoniq ASR10, Korg Poly 61, Korg X3, Casio CZ-5000, Rhodes en clavinova. Mis nog enkele analog synts :D
You have the best room of the fcking world!

I love Kreuzberg
A collection of classic synthesizers ..... and a Roland JX8P. Sorry but I couldn't resist that!
JX8P owner/lover.

Look who has come!
oh I see we have the same taste in videos! cool!
THATS WHAT YOU THINK?!! WHEN YOU HEAR THIS. SOUTHSIDE SIREN BRUH!
I could have done without the background bloops the entire video. I wanted to admire this crazy ass collection of rarity but some of the background noise made me go insane.
Timothy McJury you crazy
This made me laugh
"the background noise"
It's the sound this crazy ass collection actually makes. ;(
sportsfreundberlin bahahaha
What stands are you using?
Oddly enough the OSCAR was partially designed by the guy who did the preset programming for the Synthex - Paul Wiffen
Buchla is yours and moogs papa. baby!
やべえ、こんな所住みてえ😄
So schöne Geräte da... lasst mal was hören! Eure Darbietungen hatten irgendwie was... unprofessionelles.
all i want for christmas is a jupiter 8....
I need those synth racks, synths included :)))
But i must ask the standard questions in here...where is the Jupiter-8 and CS-80? ;)
Nobody ever mentions the keyboard action.
ARP QUADRA
yeah but they don't have the Yamaha synth which has the 'DJ button on it
Set sofa, bathroom and you can removed Exit out of the room, forever :)
Quite a room
mixer??!
No Oberheim. No Mas.
No love for the CS :P
no Oberheim?
THe video is only worth watching if you mute it. FIRE THE SOUND GUY!
god i need a jupiter 8
He can't and didn't hear your prayer.
Question - do you think the music is actually better with these?
Yes. Absolutely.
But will it make you better at making music? Nah
sadly I think it's quite rare that gifted musicians and gearheads are the same people. When they are, the music is beautiful. But more often than not, the people with huuuuge studios end up making music which is so concerned with equipment or technicality that it forgets musicality, IMO.
but these dudes are pretty sick.
Alex Lawrence I kinder agree! Hence my question. You can make great beats with one of those synths, but I don't think u need everything
@@aleksandir1780 One of them is certainly very pasty looking. Probably spends so much time in the studio that he never gets to see any sunlight. Still, he is from the land of Nosferatu.
dialogue too quiet.
Actually, I really liked the placement of the dialogue: Is nice and clear, but doesn't get in the way of those lovely sounds...
Drool
That arp sounds like copy of Front 242 "Seq 666"
nothing really to say about the andromeda?
These guys would freak if you dragged in a digital synth
Tobias Lynn the PPG is digital. The TR-707 is digital.
What's the synth directly below the Prophet 600?
ARP Quadra
Looks great. Sounds like $hit.
potom že Gádže Nemíňajú Lóve
$$$
don't you know you can just use a computer, a controller keyboard and some virtual instruments?
The continuous arp sounds on top of the dialogue is very distracting
this video lasts 8:08, subtly
thats your average "i have much money so i buy expensive synths" berlin setup. whats more remarkable is that these guys seem to have no idea what to do with all that :-)
Ни*уя у них синтов!

Let's all jump on the jeaLOUSY bandwagon, why don't we! A complete lack of talent never hampered the likes of Chemical Brothers.
Fetishists
All that choice hardware and nothing remotely melodic bring produced with it. Sad.
@paul vorderwinkler Yes, because of course, synthesizers aren't allowed to be used melodically.
