Nice video love the dog to, I've got the same Haul Master trailer jack, when I've got something in tow on the trailer, I roll the wheel all the way up an hold the wheel in the straight up and down Position, once it is rolled all the way up the handle will tighten up, in my case when it does tighten up the handle is Parallel with the trailer with the wheel towards the front of the trailer of course not towards the front were it drops on the ball, I don't crank it very tight just snug and the hand crank will stay in that position, so it's not hanging down or towards the front were it drops down on the ball so it doest effect your turning radius, In saying that i totally agree with you on the Manufacturer coming up with a better way To tuck the hand crank to keep it out of the way, enjoyed your video it's great for a first-timer on replacing on installing this trailer jack 👌
I don't know if you did it or not, maybe I missed it. The bolt that goes through the handle has a flat spot on it so you can recess it in deeper to expose more thread for screwing in the nut.

Drill a hole put a hitch pin and washer through the crank stud then you can remove it easily if it sticking out is an issue
Great explanatory video thank you

Do you recall what size the bolts and nuts are? Thanks
I would cut off those shin scraping long bolts. 😮
I definitely didn't look at the torque rating when I installed mine. I definitely did more than 30. I bowed the brackets 😂
