Prey: Finding Grant Lockwood Without Activating His Tracker

- I neglected to activate (or glitched?) Grant Lockwood's tracking bracelet so he was like a disgruntled needle in a haystack with no locator on the HUD. Find the gargoyles as shown after exiting from Hardware Labs and making a left. Make sure you're on the platform that says Shuttle Bay (as shown). Facing out towards space, start at the left gargoyle and head out slightly to the left, the gargoyle is kind of pointing the way. When the radiation warning clicks start, look around.
2024 Update: another way to do it (and maybe easier to stay on the correct heading) is to position yourself facing the Shuttle Bay with the right side gargoyle right in front of you and space to your back. Full thrust backwards out into space and use the station as a reference to make sure to stay as straight as possible. When the radiation warning clicks start, stop your thrust then turn to your right. You should get the human corpse marker.
I activated it but got NO marker, this video is the only thing i found online that helped or even got close to explaining it in reality, THANK YOU!

Same here dude, I was SO frustrated.
The 17 corpses that disliked this where forever lost on talos 1 exterior.
Someday maybe there will be an achievement to find them too. Finding Ungrateful Corpsicles or something.
This game is so cool, would have been awesome if BioShock let you go out into the ocean like this.
Agreed, I thought the ocean excursions in Bioshock 2 were too brief/on rails but I get it wasn't really built for it.

Despite completing all the steps to activate his bracelet, find him in the personnel list from a security station, etc., my game also would not display the way point marker for Grant Lockwood. I spent way too much time flying around the station looking for him. This was the biggest help.

Save story as everyone else, did all the steps but the marker never did show up. Now when I do a new run or play with mods this is one of the first things I do thanks to this video

Actually, did you go to a crew log and tag his tracker on your map, or only activated it? Because I’m just now realizing that’s probably what my problem is too

I can't really say that this video helped me too much, I specifically remember activating this guys tracking bracelet, but I don't have any sort of marker to find him, literally the only clue I have to find this dude is that he's outside of the station -_- So now I'm gonna try (attempting) to backtrack to Deep Storage to see if I can reactivate his tracking bracelet or not
Sorry it didn't help. All I can add is to leave the station from the Shuttle Bay area where the gargoyles are and head out into space and to the left.
lol I was already in the exterior unrelatedly looking to see if you could access cargo bay early, and as I looked up from my phone to look for that spot I saw that I happened to already be right next to that statue

Another way to find him head to derelict shuttle then go straight down he is under it almost directly.

Nevermind, you were right in the description. If you stand on top of that golden gargoyle you show in the vid and head in the exact same direction it is pointing he will eventually show up on the map
They have artificial gravity that works without rotation.

I updated the description with slightly different method from the same location. Trying going backwards out into space using the station as a reference to stay as straight as possible. I just tried it with an old save and located him.
@@RepoMan1984 I'll the same; old save and try to find him. I Know it is very difficult to get a point of reference (that's the problem)

@@mattt115 Are you playing on a harder mode? I was probably on normal. In this clip I show a radiation status, but my health doesn't change at all when I'm out at Lockwood's location. Wish I could help more. I haven't played in a while and this clip is from 2017, so perhaps something has changed with an update since then?
