Sounds a bit more regal at 0:45, I like it. Kanako has easily jumped up from one of my least to most favorite 2hus personality-wise. Would love to plot up some crazy Doofenshmirtz-level complexity schemes with her sometime. This game has really stepped up her theme, too.
Her plan for generating electricity was "feed sun god to hell bird." It feels like she went to post on Twitter about the events of MoF and realized there's no power.
@@randommaster06 And the crazy thing is is that there are tons of ways to generate electricity around Youkai Mountain. Put a damn in the Genbu Ravine and have the Kappa manage it. Build some windmills and use your divine Wind God powers to generate loads of energy. Tap into the existing geothermal energy of easily accessible lava. Kanako was too lazy to do any of those, so she went with the scheme that required far more effort and planning instead.
no no, her plan was generating electricity using cold fusion Utsuho and the former nuclear reactor were there to have a 24/7 source for the kappa research center build above it, yall are seeing it too simple god powers require faith, too valuable dams are public, Kanako tried to hide her activites as much as possible, not to mention the tengu would probably declare war at that point geothermal? thats still encroaching on Satori's private land, might as well follow with the nuclear plan
@@randommaster06 "Hey, hell bird, why don't you eat this sun god and give me some power? Wait, no, don't incinerate the surface world. What part of what I said implied burning the Hakurei shrine maiden to a crisp?"
Nah. I disagree, most of 17.5's songs aren't that hot shit, Kanako's theme just isn't as powerful as her ingame counterpart, Yuugi's is kinda just an "instrument change" thing so while I see it fixing the main problem in her old theme it's really not that better, Muramasa's theme is also just an instrument change but it doesn't even benefits it in any way it's kinda just the same, Jo'on+Shion themes have been actually toned down in the new "soundfount" and a weird arab section has been added in so it's kinda a downgrade, Utsuho has a better intro but rest of the song is weaker and less powerful than the old one and Marisa's theme doesn't feels like you're fighting THE Marisa, a protagonist, if I didn't know love coloured spark already I feel like I could be convinced that it's a stage 1 or 2 boss. (hopeless masquerade did it FAR better imo) Reimu's theme is absolutely amazing in comparison to the original one, Kogasa is also an improvement and the theme actually feels like you're fighting a Karakasa now, Yamame's has had actual character added into her usually generic theme and the same goes for Seraphic Chicken, Flandre is very easy to improve upon but how much it improved was far better than I expected... See, the thing with a lot of spin off games is that they completely take the power out of the music and engage playfulness to the max, so while that improves most songs that didn't really need "Power" such as playful or focused themes, it neglects the rest, and, well, the vast majority of Touhou songs are about some form of power- See how glorious Kanako is, or how pure Junko is, or how determined Sukuna is, or how elegant Remilia is, or how mysterious Okina is...You get my drift, even though I am only using final bosses as examples...Tho a really common thing I see and get upset by is that the .5 games final boss themes are consistently downgraded in their next reappearances because of attempts to make sad themes sound fun.
So I don’t know everything about the plot of this entry but here’s my theory to why Kanako is here and a playable character. So when the petroleum leaks started happening. It actually started to affect Suwako. Poisoning her in a way. When Sanae told her that’s when she decided to take matter into her hands while also having Utsuho join to also prove which is the better energy source for gensokyo.
@@jambon2730 Vine has right in something. Suwako is strongly connected to nature and the oil polute nature. Plants and earth itself. There is no way she wasn't effected by it. She can sense nature's health level.

Look, we respect your beliefs and all, but is it necessary to spam random videos with the chant? I feel it's extremely disrespectful to the gods these chants are intended for.... I would never read a prayer for Inari in a comment section, as it would trivialize the meaning of the prayer... So the way I see it, you are besmerching the chant and making it into a silly little meme, instead of honoring the gods...
Who could forget Touhou's famous gameover music
zun really likes kanakos theme that much
Any Touhou player will get used to it. It's a challenge to NOT hear it during normal gameplay due to how hard the games are.
ZUN acknowledging Kanako in any capacity is a win. Three cheers for the best girl

She had some good stuff in Lotus Eaters too. Good times for Kanako fans
