I am a beginner. I will be getting a used machine on Saturday. Not sure what actually what all I'm getting all I know is I am getting the machine and 10 cartridges. I am excited. So I am just finding out what I need to go with it. So I will need help.
Fun fact. You want to keep those shiny plates with the numbers and the blank one on the other side clean and smudge free. Those plates are how the sensor tells the difference between the tips and tools. Unfortunately my cricut arrived with a broken sensor and cricut had to send a replacement under warranty but cleaning those plates were on the trouble shooting list
I just kept the other blades in the plastic. Push the top down like a pen top and push the tool into the blade and release the top. Turn the top to lock it into place.
You are a great teacher! I made your Butterfly box and was wondering, from pictures, what the colors would actually look like made up. Well, It was absolutely stunning! Hoping you continue to share your many talents. Cricut should reproduce your storage container and pay you a royalty on the sales. It's a good one! Last but not least, I would love to see your camera set up. I teach cooking and close ups and being able to zoom in and out makes the video much more interesting. I am able to edit/manipulate with Adobe Premiere Elements, but it appears you have a much better set up! Thanks for all you do! Sincerely, Diane

when I tried to weed my test cut of the word CRICUT... I went super slow but the backing was not pulling off without ripping the letters. The surrounding edge did not cut through either and tore the vinyl

Every time the machine is used I clean it. I also will clean it between cuts for glitter projects and card stock or anything that collects debris on the blade.

Any tips on how to keep the other tips on the true control knife that swaps out to different tips? Also how do you change the tips?

Cricut needs to do wider 2.0 pens for those of us who journal or title onto our scrap pages. The ultra fines get blurry and need a lot of re-work

I recommend separating the videos into smaller bit sizes per machine. Instead of one or two hour long videos, make the videos by machine.
