WE'RE BACK! What did you think about our first new episode with a brand new concept and, of course, a brand new host? We're glad you're on this new journey with us and we hope you enjoyed our first step together in a new direction. If you missed our coverage of the Paris Peace Conference, you will just need to wait a little longer till our next episode.
We will be much more diligent about our sources and sourcing from now on. You can usually find sources for certain statements on screen or in the subtitles as well as all sources used for an episode in the video description

While I don't think Jesse is as charismatic as Indy, he has a very professional quality to him in place of it. It might be because Indy's background is as an entertainer when it comes to being in front of the camera, so their presentation is different. I think it's a great fit for the documentary style of the channel, and it also is respectful of Indy by echoing your (Flo's) previous statement of not trying to replace him. Even as a first episode, this definitely already is fulfilling the promise of quality and depth with excellent narration. Great work all around.

It must have been so terrible for those men i know they lived unlike those who fought and died but those who survived must of carried such a guilt because they were there and i feel so bad. At least they kept their lives but i'm sure so many of them suffered terribly because of the guilt.

Great job to Jesse! And I really like that you get into details about the citations (e.g. page number) and give credit to them at the end. Production is superb as ever :)

The future is bright for this channel. Although I'll still cherish my experience here with Indy I am excited for Jesse.

Imagine living in the middle of all this. How exciting it must have been in a time when people felt they could shape the future of their nation. Incredible.

Love that Canadian pronunciation! and Jesse has a great accent in German. A keeper! This is a critical historical period, including Versailles. Keep it coming. I hope we get weekly episodes, after catching up with February. And the 12 minute episodes were about the right length, although I enjoyed this one.

A welcome change; I warmly welcomed Jesse and called him a friend once I opened the video on my phone. He should become more expressive on the next video and he should keep his speech at a consistent pace; he's breaking in the middle of phrases and disrupting the rhythm. Wishing him and the rest of the team the best of luck :' )

Great to see this channel return. Jesse has thus far done fine, in time I am sure he will grow into it. He can't be worse than I would be in front of a camera after all.

As a trotskist and an history buff, it is refreshing to hear an account of 1919 that, though not from an explicitly marxist perspective, is also not hysterically anti-spartakist, as I find most such accounts to be. Tough line to walk, and in my judgment, you've done so quite nicely. Cheers.

It wasn't easy, but it was also important to us. Glad you agree that we came off to a great start. The next topics for 1919 won't be any less political.

It’s going to take some time for me and everyone to come to grips in this new post war The Great War but 4 minutes in and I’m digging the new guy.
    It’s working!!!
And that’s not an easy thing to believe, because I had my doubts if any host would be able to replace Indy.
While Indy would have been great (as usual), a new host (and writer) with a new perspective is what The Great War channel needed!
    Keep on trucking Jesse!!!

Great episode , so much information . Could have been two episodes. Would have liked to have an episode dealing with the returnings soldiers and POWs and how they were treated in each country. Thanks for the great work.

the 4x10 minute a month burned us out quite hard and especially for the aftermath of the war, this new variation will work better. At least we hope.
