With greed we can kill triangle without touching it, and buy stuff right as we fly, not wasting time. Potentially in the best run possible, you don't need greed, and every resource is just laying around on pedestal wands, but had never happened before, so it's either you force this to happen, or prepare to spend several months of your life to liok for one seed. And greed is just right there.
Lets say you didn't pick curse of greed, you would breeze trough mine and then reach first holy mountain with 40-80 gold from the passing creatures and 240 from stevari (iirc), well would you look at that, you have 300ish gold where a wand on first holy mountain could reach up to 400 gold, while the chance that the wand in the first holy mountain have black hole or teleport bolt are there cause both are tier 0 spells. Curse of greed triples the gold drop you got from any creatures, while tablet kill sometimes count as accidental kill (it will count as normal kill in certain occasions cause tablet possession is a thing) so 240*2*3= 1440 gold, enough to buy few wands without killing anything at mines, it is also useful for killing △ boss. All in all cog are very good for breezing the levels while still having pocket money for spells and wands at each holy mountain. skoude drops 360iirc so about 2160 gold

20 seconds immortality glitch, poly upon entering any portal will make you take no damage if you do it right.
