Hi again! Another great reaction video! I’ll try not to be too verbose (she says as she proceeds to be verbose!).
I’ll need to go back to a couple of your earlier videos for Season 6 to confirm, but did you ever go back to certain episodes to watch the end credits? Specifically the ones for Twice, Bakugo, and Dabi? Because the end credits have added/changed visuals to match that particular episode, which I found really cool. Especially as a manga reader.
Is the manga still running? Yes, and it’s in a long period of “final act” material. We’re not done yet - Horikoshi is still publishing his chapters. But as other commenters have alluded to, it’s slow going because of him taking more frequent breaks to deal with his health. (The breaks don’t include the scheduled breaks that Shonen Jump takes for Japanese holidays.) We’re praying for his health and that he’s able to continue the series, since we’re SO CLOSE to the climax in the manga. “Close” being relative - my un-professional prediction is that MHA will wrap up sometime in 2024, depending on the publishing schedule.
Speaking of which, I can understand your reasoning for not reading the manga. For me, they’re two different mediums, so of course the “moving” pictures in my head that I conjure up will never match what actually gets animated. Sometimes that’s good - the anime has added some scenes and context that wasn’t in the manga - and sometimes that’s not so good (other scenes and context have been completely left out of the anime, which I personally thought would be important to the audience in understanding some motivations). However, I do recommend checking out some of the “Apocrypha” material of MHA - manga and light novels that are fun to read and check out, but not strictly necessary to understand the main anime/manga.
Specifically, the biggest recommendation for me would be to check out the MHA light novels, “School Briefs.” There are six of them now, and the writer created stories for the students AND teachers. In-session times, contests, Valentine’s Day, exploring “normal kid” shenanigans that aren’t covered in the main manga/anime. There’s also “MHA: Vigilantes,” which is a manga series set 5 years before the main story. It follows a completely different main character, but we also get to see Tensei Iida (Tanya’s brother!) in action, the full backstory of Aizawa, Present Mic, Midnight, and Mirko, along with some additional story material for All Might. But the main character’s storyline takes precedence. Many manga readers fervently wished for “Vigilantes” to be adapted, but the only hint we get of that story is in Season 5, with the mention of Aizawa’s friend, Shirakumo (now Kurogiri).
I said all that to say, look out for the ending credits, especially for Bakugo’s and Dabi’s episodes. They specifically use “rejected” (by Horikoshi) art and current manga covers in those end sequences, and it made me “squee!” Extra loud when I saw them being used to convey the gravity of those episodes.
Another fun thing to look for on UA-cam are the fan-subbed videos of the MHA “Drama CD” recordings, only released in Japan. They’re additional side stories that dovetail with the main one, and they’re fun to listen to/watch. One really funny one is of when Mineta leaves a vague voicemail message with one of the students, complaining about his internship with Mt. Lady, and it turns into a literal disaster example of “Playing Telephone”!
Of course, none of the above are necessary to enjoy the MHA anime. It stands on its own as its own interpretation of the manga. However, for me as a reader, I loved seeing several scenes and panels from the manga interpreted into anime in a wonderful way.
Keep on enjoying yourself in your reactions! I love your enthusiasm, your observations, and your plushie Rimiru. Thank you!
P.S. Have you already seen “That Time I Reincarnated As A Slime”? Because I’d definitely be interested in your reactions to that series. I’m assuming you already have seen the show, since you have the Rimiru plushie, but I thought I’d ask, anyway.

First off, I wanna say that you are a wonderful human being, and I love that you go into such detail about things and have great recommendations.
      To answer a few of your questions/queries;
With the ending credits of twice, Kaachan and Dabi, yes, I have seen them. Unfortunately I couldn’t put them up, so I had to edited it out. But what I can tell you is, I couldn’t get over how powerful it was, the music mixed with 2 different scenes in all 3 versions of the ending, it was brilliant.
I found out through another subscriber, about Horikoshi Sensei’s health and how it had something to do with his shoulder being dodgy, bless his heart. I know how he feels with a dodgy shoulder, as I suffered from one myself, I’ve only just been discharged from my physical therapy, that helped me get my shoulder back to working order, it’s not 100%, but it’s manageable. I still do the exercises my physiotherapist recommended, I’m determined to get it back to 100%.
In my opinion, a dodgy shoulder is nothing to sneeze at, that could lead to frozen shoulder and that is painful, and I have experienced that. So I hope Horikoshi sensei gets a lot of rest 💝
It’s funny you mention MHA ‘school briefs’ as I have vols 1-3, I do want to get the rest of them, unfortunately I haven’t had the time, but went I do I’m snatching them up 😁
I haven’t given ‘MHA Vigilantes’ much thought, but after reading your comment, it has sparked my interest. But I think I’ll read it after MHA ends, something to look forward to. 😊
I haven’t seen any MHA drama CD, I have watched on UA-cam, MHA radio (character radio) of course English sub, I find it really funny and some people have done a fan animation of it, that’s something I can recommend 😁
Now Last, but certainly not least, yes, I have seen ‘that time I got reincarnated as a slime’, multi times 😅 I do love show 🥰 so, sorry to say I can’t do a genuine reaction video. But I know there is a movie of the anime and I haven’t seen yet, so I could do a reaction to that, if I can 😅
Thank you again for your lovely comments and for being a wonderful person 💝🥹

There's enough content in the ongoing manga for at least 18 episodes of season 7, with more on the way.
It depends on the creator's health, and as he's been taking so many unscheduled breaks recently due to his health, it's pointless trying to make guesses as to when it will end.
Season 6 ended at Chapter 328. Manga is at chapter 384.
Basically, the series is in its final arc, and whether the anime will do a long season 7 or a 7 and 8 is up for debate. The author is taking break weeks more frequently due to a dodgy shoulder.
Small chance it could end in late 2023, most likely somewhere in 2024.

@@stargirlnice Many people are wishing Horikoshi well, and are fine with the chapters coming out less often if it meant Hori gets more rest.
