Ciri it became literally the most badass woman character in the gaming world..That angry look on her face after she drank the cat potion and charged towards the monster it made me fall in love immediately..
For the uninitiated (those who haven't read Sapkowski's books), the action of this game (and it will be a new saga) takes place a few years after the end of The Witcher 3. Ciri passed the test of the grasses and for those still unfamiliar, as a teenager in the temple of Melitele, Yennefer taught her magic, so Ciri knows how to gain elemental energy. I recommend reading the books.
and it doesnt make any sense, adults cant take the test or they die 100%, thats why they have to be children, cus they are "moldable", im surprised u talk about the books and dont know that, and even 2 on 10 children die of it, and speaking of ciris powers, why isnt she teleporting? she hes the "Lady of time and space", but now they want to make her the new Geralt when she clearly doesnt need to. So stupid
@ if you watch the trailer carefully when Ciri approaches the girl in the woods from behind she teleports behind her quietly right before she puts her hand on her shoulder. So it’s still there. Maybe she can’t teleport while under the effects of Witcher positions cause it messes with their internal dna structure.

There are two types of developers, those who will pay to use a game engine like UE5, and just use it the way it is, then there are developers like CD Projekt Red who will use the engine, but then actively work on the engine to make massive improvements to it to enable them to really make a unique game. People don't realize how much work and advancements they made in the Red Engine. It might not have as much future potential as UE5, but the way it is now, it is actually a very advanced engine and it's a testament to the talent of the developers of CD Projekt Red. Using UE5 would free up their development staff a bit since they don't have to build the engine from the ground up, so it should help speed up the development and help the quality as well. Cyberpunk's problems at launch was really mainly due to them trying to get the game to run on some old potato consoles...

For those who haven't played the previous Witcher games, whether or not you like the combat, the STORY in the other games, especially Witcher 3, is just so freakin good, like the story telling I mean, it is sooooo good, you have to play at least The Witcher 3.

This Trailer blew me away too & was so unexpected & so awesome. Thank you for pointing out her eye's. I was never a fan of her as a game character, just not a fan of the voice actresss (Sorry). But the new version of her is 'Amazing'. Don't worry about crying 😭 Im almost crying too.. Ive read the books 3 times over & spent soo much time playing The Witcher 3 its basically my 2nd child 😂. Which is saying something since i don't have a 1st child 😂. She survived the White Frost, so im ok with her taking som White Gull? Again , i completely understand the crying.
They went into production about 2 weeks ago and have been working on it since 2022, they said in an interview they have more then 400 ppl working on it atm
Don't mind its Ciri but I feel like a core part of what we like about Witchers is going to be missing. The brotherhood, the interactions. Honestly I would have killed to get a prequel during Vesemirs period.
@@ap4702 I’m in the same boat. BUT I think Ciri will bring new (well done, good) elements to the story while also still keeping those elements of brotherhood as funny as it sounds intact. If written well it can happen. Ciri doesn’t act girly girl and seems to be bringing the authentic gritty harshness we like about the Witcher world still. Again, all we have is this 6 min trailer so we really don’t know much. But, I’m optimistic and the trailer was really damn good imo.

@@imnotallergic oh man the Witcher 3 is in my top 5 games of all time! The music is superb! The combat in the 3rd game 11 years later does feel a bit dated now BUT it’s still very fun combat. Think of the Witchers as supernatural hunters / detectives / mercenary’s. They are genetically altered humans that go through trials to get supernatural powers and young ages but most of them die through the training. (It’s why their eyes are different as well)
May I watch this now like several times and I get so excited each time I watch it I mean I'm sure they'll smooth certain things out and make certain improvements yeah but I mean for what it is it looks amazing
Compared to many recent female character designs that have been pretty bad. For example, DINA's real-life model is much more attractive than her game appearance in TLOU2. Ciri looks very attractive within reason. She looks like Viking Valkyrie. 🤷🏾♂️ 🫡

@ they were rightfully pressured imo. It took them nearly a decade to get that game out from when it was announced in a time where the average development time was still 3-5 years max. They were the first to mistakenly start the trend of “early” announcements. They could have pushed both Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk back they just chose not to. In saying all this I’m very hopeful and confident that CDPR has learned from the blundered launch of Cyberpunk and understand that they can’t do that anymore. Take an extra year if need be to make sure it launches well
I love this franchise. I love CDPR. I still am extremly sad that they decided to swap to UE5. I understand why they did it, i really do. However i believe it will lead to alot of issue's for their future games. I also not the biggest fan of this trailer stylistically. It does look like every UE5 thing ever made. I love Ciri tho i really hope my worries are just me beeing to anxious about this franchise.
@@agav2345 So far CDPR has not messed up their IPs. No indication that they will with this. It’s only the first trailer that’s only 6 minutes. I would wait until the gameplay reveal to really see if the game is for you or not or raise concerns.

Exactly. I was super hyped for what they were cooking up but this ruined it. I have no problem with female protagonists but I just don't want to play as one in the Witcher world. If you're happy with it, great. This was just a huge bummer for me.

I think she’s highly attractive and Ciri has always been touted as a combination of Witcher and what she is. She was always talked about to be immensely powerful. She’s not human all the way through. Everyone knows “it was made for young human males” Ciri is not all human. If she should take the trials or not has always been talking point in the games. Her having Witcher powers doesn’t mean she lost her unique powers. She can still teleport, she can manipulate the elements way more by what we see with the fire combing on the chains and able to manipulate the water and infuse electricity into it. Shes more powerful than ever from what I see. Let’s not forget this was the first scenes EVER we are getting from this game and it was 6 minutes. We have no idea what’s going on in the game lol.
