Geralt is confirmed to be in this game. One of the stories takes 100 yrs after he retired and he is still somewhat active, so he can be be active in this game. The voice at the end of the trailer it is Geralt! That is the actor voicing Geralt. Also, CDPR Boston studio has been working for 3yrs on another game in the Witcher universe. It is either a co-op or a multiplayer and that will come out fairly soon. I can't imagine they will skip Geralt trying to start another franchise.
@@shimik11 I am not sure why they are so quiet about the game being made by Molases Flood/CDPR Boston. They have been working on it since the release of Cyberpunk. The implied nudity helps but honestly I feel that the real ones all instantly call it's Witcher 4 on that scene more because of the colour gradient. It's a more subconscious thing but that dark but quite rich brown and maroon colouration is really distinctively associated with The Witcher. Where a lot of other games go for more washed out greys and browns Witcher likes to push these like rich but very dark colours. We just instinctively see a Witcher-style colouration and know. In the same way if the song that started playing later in the trailer had played early we'd all know just because "oh that's a witcher-style song."
A lot of the arguments I'm seeing are pretty nonsensical. I think it will blow over by the time the game arrives. Ciri looks amazing. Beautiful, wise and badass.
the complaints are just from the usual suspects (the anti-woke grifters) that needs the grift to be going, the same people that talked shit about SH2 Remake and ofc none of them know anything about the source material.

I wish devs wouldn't announce new games so far out. As a Mass Effect fan it's been 4 years since ME5 got announced and all we've had is a single trailer and some art.
Game is actually probably more in the 12-24 months release window as Cyberpunk was announced in 2012 but development only started in 2016 after Blood and Wine and took 4 years. This has been in production since 2022, so 4 years would lead us to 2026, which seems to be more on the norm for standard AAA development. Not only that, but I do not believe they would be stupid enough to announce a game 4 years in advance, a mistake they have already made and corrected in the past (with Phantom Liberty). This is in engin and they have said that pre-production was over, which means that the story and systems are pretty much ironed out and all that's left is to actually make the game, which should not take more than 2 years for a team of 400 people going in full production mode.
Something no one really noticed in the trailer is that Cirilla kind of struggles physically cutting up the monster and that makes sense if you think about it. She needs 3 hits to cut of one of the arms. She needs 2 hits to cut of the head. She also uses that chain tool. And she helps herself with reaching to the veins of power. I think they did it on purpose hinting to us what the gameplay will look like. More agile and trickery combat + more gameplay around magic rather than brutal strength like in the case of Geralt. Oh and P.T Adamczyk is responsible for the music again, so its guaranteed that the game will be full of bangers :)
Also did you notice they made a point to show the dagger in the guys belt who notices the Witcher and at the end the dagger in the girls chest is the same and his is no longer in his waist
I wouldn't say Geralt had that much brute strength but he was also a very fit man. But I already know the game is gonna be good since they show Ciri struggle physically, which is perfectly normal as she is a woman. That's how women should be in games/movies. That was one of the main reasons I liked the new Tomb Raider games. The woke strong girl boss narrative is so forced down our throats nowadays.
The beginning where she blocked the attack, it was a Quen. They could have made it a color specific to her, and her school. Or perhaps just her in general as she is of Elder Blood.
I wondered if it was Quen as well because of its barrier look. If it is it ur theory about it being school specific may be right because I remember Quen for Geralt is gold in color.
I'm so excited, it's immediately my nr1 most anticipated game! Witcher 3 is my nr2 game of all time and pkaying as Ciri is just perfect after how witcher 3 ended.
I haven't seen anyone say but we all see that the guy who notices and calls out the Witcher is the one who killed the girl at the end right? They show his knife in his waist when he confronts Ciri at first then in the end scene the same knife is in the girls chest and he is saying "all we wanted was for her to woods, to go to the gods" He straight up killed her and that was the intent all along even if her dad didn't believe so
Yup that’s what I saw too, also when he asked who gave the Witcher the coin the dad looks away a bit. I think he might of hired ciri to save his daughter
It’s pretty obvious that it’s the guy that killed her yes, since the daughter was the sacrifice it makes a lot of sense that he would just kill her to fulfil the “prophecy” that needs to happen. The “gods” didn’t take her because Ciri saved her, he deemed she still needed to die to ensure the safety of the village. That’s what they would believe with their superstition and showing there are no gods, just monsters and that’s including him as he just killed her.
I swear the monster said something like "please save me/save the village" and also i heard like it said "they made me do it please stop me". It was so distorted but it was definitely begging for it's life or something else.

There's an interview with IGN explaining that she undergoes the trials at some point. People are also saying the end of W3 caused a second conjunctor so the world is more dangerous and I think it's fair to say she lost her time space powers when she stopped the freeze. She still has her elder blood of course which may make her special enough to survive the trials.

If you are a Witcher fan and hate ciri being the main character now you are not a Witcher fan. Also whoever is saying she looks ugly it's canonical to look uglier than your younger self if you are old and she has probably aged a lot maybe 100years
Tbh the game that interests me most is onimusha. Have you played it in your childhood? That is one of the games i remember from our childhood (im your age) besides and earlier than gow, ninja gaiden and genji. Ciri is just not very interesting imo. Too special for a character. If they want to make a strong female, they should do smthg like hera in war of the rohirrim. Elden ring, (edit: whose trailer i havent seen) is just overrated imo. What kind of realistic combat relies on rolling? Inefficient. My patience ran out with pre-nerf PCR guessing game after his right forehand swings to your right, after which either delayed or fast left forehand. I dont mind his double X slash requiring 1.5x the provided by roll, which ive faced before in another game.
For the uninitiated (those who haven't read Sapkowski's books), the action of this game (and it will be a new saga) takes place a few years after the end of The Witcher 3. Ciri passed the test of the grasses and for those who are not familiar, as a teenager in the temple of Melitele, Yennefer taught her magic, so Ciri knows how to obtain elemental energy. I recommend reading the books.
Nah, no Geralt as a protagonist it's the same as taking Kratos out of God of War and putting Atreus in, it's going to be an average game but far from the success of 3
Glad your happy with it but I have to say, this killed any hype I had for the game. I have no interest in playing as Ciri. Congrats though, you'll get an amazing game from a great studio.
Fond memories this franchise bestowed upon them over the last 3 games and their DLCs. As well as those with higher interest in the lore have also read the books. Why wouldn't that trigger an emotional response?
I wish I were more excited (I have read all the books and played all the games) but I haven't really enjoyed any CDPR game since Witcher 2. The story made me push through W3 (really enjoyed the ending) but the gameplay did nothing for me, especially the sluggish controls and boring side activities. And there was pretty much nothing to like about Cyberpunk, that failed to keep the interest of someone who's loved the genre since the 80's. But hopefully they've learned something from their missteps, so that this game will have tighter controls and a more focused story. Btw, not going to lie, it's pretty weird that Ciri's a witcher now, but I guess it would be awkward if the playable character weren't one 😅. All the Witcher games are fan fiction anyway, so it's fine.
8 books and 3 Games of laying the ground work we finally get to see what becomes of our Lady of time and space.

@@WhimsyPsycheit was yellow. But the effect is the main trait, not the color. So i think she used quen. Aard would push the monster back, igni would involve fire. But quen and the spell in this cutscene both acts as barrier, implying she used quen
That makes sense for sure!!
I never played witcher. Am I missing anything?
YES.
and try playing from the first one. because you can import your save games to influence your next game storyline.
@@chrisventer7284 Thanks for input, I have Witcher 3 on my PS4 but never started it yet. And at my age I'm done buying games because my back log games count is crazy, so I'll most likely never get 1 & 2.
After I finish Assassin's Creed Valhalla, I'll probably take a peek at Witcher 3 on PS4.
S MUCH HYPE I LOVE HER
SHE'S OUR GIRL SHE'S THE BEST 😭
She looks very similar to Amica from a Plague Tale.
The only thing that bothers me is that they changed the voice actress for Ciri.
Thanks.
If you are a Witcher fan and hate ciri being the main character now you are not a Witcher fan. Also whoever is saying she looks ugly it's canonical to look uglier than your younger self if you are old and she has probably aged a lot maybe 100years
I really wanted to play Witcher 1 but my god the controls are horrendous. Same with 2 unfortunately 😔
Play Witcher 3!!
Damit i got attached to that village and then that happens
I am so buying this game
Ciri looks so beautiful and mature! How old do you guys think she is here? 30? 32? 35?!!
I'm so bad at telling age 😭 But definitely more mature now!
I was actually loosing my shit the second I saw the sword and armor. Then Ciri apeared and I went insane. I am so excited to play as her.
RIGHT!!
It was igni, it was quen
Just a cinematic trailer not gameplay
That's all witcher 3 had.
You voice is like music to my ears 🎶 🎵 😍 ❤️
Thanks, I hate it
What is there to tear up about? lol
Im in love with this older look she has i CAN'T wait to play this
SAME
I would've preferred to create my own character like in skyrim. Not exited about witcher at all.
Then play Skyrim?
Then go play that?
I dont mind his double X slash requiring 1.5x the provided by roll, which ive faced before in another game.
i legit went "NO WAY" yesterday seeing this lol
It was quen
But isn't it still the wrong color technically?
👍👍

For the uninitiated (those who haven't read Sapkowski's books), the action of this game (and it will be a new saga) takes place a few years after the end of The Witcher 3. Ciri passed the test of the grasses and for those who are not familiar, as a teenager in the temple of Melitele, Yennefer taught her magic, so Ciri knows how to obtain elemental energy. I recommend reading the books.
Lmao echo chamber of peace in these comments
Oh no, the capital G gamers have arrived
I mean is it a girl or a boy, or it’s they/them now? Im talking about Ciri
She's a girl like she's always been
Oh you didn't have to specify, I'm never surprised when an incel can't recognize a feminine presenting woman.
@@WhimsyPsyche incels don't like women
Nah, no Geralt as a protagonist it's the same as taking Kratos out of God of War and putting Atreus in, it's going to be an average game but far from the success of 3
Cry some more.
Cope harder 😂
It's going to be amazing despite all the crybabies.
Geralt is not even the most important character in the books/lore kkkkk You should see a doctor, this "no woman" thing is pathetic
Why is Ciri that ugly? What it the problem western games have to create normal women?
She's not even ugly.
It's okay to like men my friend 🏳️🌈 welcome!
@@WhimsyPsyche I'm bisexual
That's great, me too! I was not talking to you 🫡
@@WhimsyPsyche Thats the point, most men like women, not uglified menlike "strong" women....
Glad your happy with it but I have to say, this killed any hype I had for the game. I have no interest in playing as Ciri. Congrats though, you'll get an amazing game from a great studio.
Thank you so much, I'm very happy indeed 😊
Why are people so emotional for a cinematic trailer?
Fond memories this franchise bestowed upon them over the last 3 games and their DLCs. As well as those with higher interest in the lore have also read the books.
Why wouldn't that trigger an emotional response?
Is that a hypothetical or do you seriously need someone to explain why people get emotionally attached to fiction?
Cyberpunk gameplay is THE best RPG FPS game out there after 2.0. But maybe shooters isnt your thing.
If witcher 3 didnt do it for you then i think hope is lost
So much shit has happened in the world and you're crying because of a video game trailer?
So much shit has happened in the world and you have the time to write stupid comments under a reaction to a trailer of a video game?
I cried becasue she looks like a man, don't know what you watched...
Bait used to be believable smh
