Toni Basil - Music Videos and Interview - The Tube (1983)

Toni Basil appeared on "The Tube"*, a United Kingdom music television show hosted by Jools Holland and Paula Yates. This episdode featured a part of her new music video for the single "Shoppin' A-Z" and few scenes of the music video of her hit "Mickey" followed by Toni Basil interviewed by Paula. Toni highlights the importance of studying to be able to dance, act and sing. Then shwee recalls her experience working with David Byrne of Talking Heads on the concept for the music video "Once In A Lifetime". Toni points out that it is not at all difficult to work with artists like David Bowie or Bettle Midler but rather that these are artists who focus on all aspects of their shows and in order to work at their pace with them you must share their enthusiasm and understanding of their compulsion.
