Boudha or Khasti Stupa is just Boudha, 'Nath' was added later through Hindu influence. So, it is wrong to aall it Boudhanath. Thanks for a great video though!
but interestingly Nepalese have an alternative story of the stupa's foundation, its different. K. Dowman shows both in his book on Power places of the KV. Nepalese vamsavali (chronicles) date Khasti caitya (how Newar call it) much earlear than 16c. almost 1000 yearlear,
It is interesting from the Tibetan narrative that Shakya Zangpo searched for the remains of a previous stupa. He came across what he thought were the foundations of an older structure and upon that he built the dome of the stupa as we are familiar with it today.
