I hope that singing voice gets her an Oscar for Sunset Blvd. She's played it twice and if you haven't seen the videos of her singing, do so! #avengethewife
I am always fascinated and enamored of how Rosie was so within her own essence at the beginning of her talk show in 1996. Particularly when she tells the King Constantine story at 6:10. She didn't have a single faintest pretense to her nature. Unbelievably and unequivocally herself. I miss this Rosie and wish she could re-discover that joy for life and belief in the good of people because nobody loved interacting with people like Rosie did. Also can't get over how calm and serene Glenn Close always is even to this day.
Does anyone else feel weird that both Glenn and Rosie talk about how it's good that the kids "want to beat up Cruella," cause she's evil and bad and we're not supposed to like her? I feel really weird about hearing them say that, because the truth is, I do like her! In fact, I love her! In fact, even as a child, I loved her----SHE was the reason I was so excited to see the film as a kid, not the puppies. So, what does that say about me? Well, maybe that I appreciate her wit, her humor, her posh quality, her fashion-sense, and her air of ultimate power. Is that so bad, really? Come to think about it, all creatures (not just human) do cruel things every day, just by existing. The truth is, we all have our vices, and I resent the fact that people are so judgmental to Cruella, even though she is a fictional character, because it just shows how arrogant and hypocritical most people are---even kids. I'm not saying Cruella is a good person-- certainly not. But, perhaps there are no "good" or "bad" people...just people, who live and behave the only way they know how, and some do some very bad things, but if that's the only way they know how to be, then it's sad. Instead of lashing out at offenders, we'd be better to try and understand, pity, and amend them- because otherwise, we too, are cruel. As I said though, even Cruella has her good points.
What's evil is the sheer amount of *enjoyment* she gets from the idea of hurting innocent creatures. These dogs aren't *asking* to be killed, and she proceeds to hunt them anyway. Additionally, it's unnecessary for her to make a coat out of them. Why not use fake fur? Maybe this movie is a statement about people in general. This is an exaggeration of the evils in the world, but many people *do* kill animals purely for enjoyment. Some kill fully *knowing* that those animals will no longer be around in the future. Humanity needs to get off its high horse and realize that we *aren't* the only beings on this planet.
FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS MY WHOLE LIFE! Cruella is lovable if not only for the fact that she's pure evil! Hell, they wrote a song about how evil she is.
She was a star in Disney's live action 101 dalmatians 1996 film released on Wendsday, November 27th, as well as the sequel released in theaters in thanksgiving 2000.

No good or bad people huh? Hmm. I wonder if that pretentious, dystopian logic applies to serial killers/rapist/pedophiles, so on and so forth....
Disgusting.
Love you Glenn Close!!!
You have talent Glen Close And you didn't squander it!

She played it in 1996 and 2000 In two of the Dalmatians films 🎥
