Bro no it didnt 😂
Facts are his transmission is toast again already.😂 it had no torque bro
Didnt release the accelerator. It would have shifted I guess 😅
had a 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 s as well and can confirm it drove amazing for a 4 cylinder !! Get up was surprisingly quick
This makes me wanna get in my 07 maxima 3.5 and do the same thing.

That is so weird not hearing gear changes.
Yea can confirm the 2016 model doesn’t like shifting on acceleration mine does the same
@@radicalgamingnerd986 very interesting, I love and prefer gears shifting.
@@radicalgamingnerd986 that’s bc it’s the type of transmission or I’m I wrong?
Mine shifts around 4500 but I do enjoy the quick acceleration
@@johntarver5684 it’s pretty cool tbh. But like when I was getting on the freeway earlier in my 2008 Toyota Camry, seeing that rev up to 3 then to redline, then back down and up again, I fucking love that haha, good ole inline 4.
Thats as good of a cvt as your going to find on a nissan altima, baby it.
It’s gonna blow holy shit
lol
the QR25 is pretty capable, only thing that holds it back is the CVT. with a manual gearbox and HCI these things can put down torque really well.
To be fair, he was going up a hill. For a 4 cylinder, it's actually impressive
I have a 2010 3.5 altima at 71k miles so far im loving it, although I don't have to rev it nearly as high to match your get up up speed which I like lol. 75-100 seems breezy passing people on the highway and these cars whip kinda good (if need)
a fluffy pink steering wheel cover and blasting rap music with christmas tree lights on the dash makes it go faster
Mashing it to the floor with a cvt is not the way to accelerate the fastest. If you ease into it then get to the floor it grabs a way better gear ratio and is much quicker.
I love nissan
It gets there eventually
If no one noticed they had it in drive sport “Ds” . Your suppose to let on and off the gas to accelerate they held it down mostly .
My 2016 Altima usually (simulates) the changed gears whenever I drive so I was a little worried about buddy's transmission.
Cvt just blew my mind... Not the 0-100 time or power though. Your car is slow. The cvt is amazing though.
Lolol what’s so amazing about the CVT 😂 and I know she’s not fast at all, but quicker than the base motors in a lot of its competition. My 19’ Vc-turbo is way quicker same Cvt.
@@NissanAltimaGuy you sat there in the power band the entire time... Which is awesome! Kinda sad how slow it was but to see it just sit there and go was super cool.

I’d kms if I had to deal with that.
Sport mode is supposed to simulate gear changes. Weird to see your did not. My 2014 simulates it in Sport and sometimes even in Drive
I have the same model compared to my previous car camry 2012 this one is a lot faster. But if you just released and pushed a couple times it would have been way better.

The harsh truth: CVTs are quicker than any automatic/DCT
Fr though
I tried this in mine, got scared cause it wasn’t shifting so I stopped, cause I thought I was gonna mess something up 😂😂😂
Lol Neh it just doesn’t simulate shifts providing constant max power. Not something I’d do all the time, but it won’t hurt every once in a while when you feel like it. It’s not different then flooring it while simulating still puts Cvt in lowest ratio for max power you just don’t get the fake shifts.
i counted 20 seconds
They definitely worked on the cvt, my 2020 doesn’t stay at redline like this it actually shifts
Same Cvt since 2013 for the Altima just different generations of d-step (fake simulations/software) if you floor yours from a stop as fast as you can it’ll hold 1 ratio like this.
I’ll have try it out… I just got a 2020 SL AWD pearl white to match my pearl white 2013 Armada Platinum reserve… The wife and I love our American made Nissans!
@@RobWillKill87 That’s awesome to hear I definitely love my Nissans. They’re pretty fun to drive and comfortable on long trips! As far as the holding one simulation (not something I recommend all the time) and sometimes it’ll do it if it loses traction and you’re trying to accelerate.
@@NissanAltimaGuy good to know. I’m excited to do some snow drifting, my armada is a tank you can’t get that thing stuck!

im having problems with my acceleration i think its the cvt. did the warranty cover the transmission?
For me I haven’t had any Cvt problems...I did see a video where someone’s brake switch was malfunctioning so the Altima wouldn’t accelerate

Bro forgot to shift
Exactly why I don't like CVT's.
💯
8 SECODNS TILL 60
If u tryna get up to 100 why not drive it in drive instead of sports mode?
I’m thinking it might’ve helped it get to redline quicker, but usually when it holds one ratio I wouldn’t think would make a difference. You’re right though 🤔 Just traded her in with 116k miles for a 22’ Vc-turbo Rogue last night.
8 second
My 2.5 2013 altima created a vibration noise (almost like heating shields vibrating) when the rev hits 2000rpm. Does anyone know what could be the cause?
I replaced the cvt fluid and both cvt filters.
My 16’ did that too it was originally the exhaust manifold/cat, but after that was replaced the flex pipe started vibrating on cold starts. Nothing engine or transmission related simply all exhaust problems.
Happened to my 2015 as well. It’s the heat shield above the cat. Get 1 or 2 radiator clamps to wrap around it and tighten them down as much as possible. Problem fixed 👍🏽
Thank you folks. Got mine checked a few days ago. Like you said, it was the pipe/heat shield issue. The old clamps worn out, so it starts rattling. Installed new ones, problem solved. 👍🏼
Why did you put the gear shifter on? Ds
Quicker throttle response
Did you service it yourself
How many quarts does it take when doing a drain and fill
So sorry I am just now seeing this! I did not do it myself I don’t trust myself quite enough yet. Nissan charged me $220 it’s typically $2-300.
BAE at it's finest... 🤌
That shit normal? Just staying redlined?
Yeah it’s a CVT. Most Nissans will hold redline to give full power if you punch it from a stop. If you floor it regular it will simulate shifts.
📢🐢__________💨💨💨
@@NissanAltimaGuy U aint lie cuz my max does that sometimes and i think it be something wrong with it🤣🤣🤣
I wonder why Nissan makes their cars hold down the RPMs a lot like that.
The CVT has no gears in reality so it’s almost like a go-kart. However they do have programmed simulated shifts for this car was 7spd. I chose to punch it as fast as I can making it not simulate to give me the maximum power.
Lmao
shift that mf. you did 0-70 in first gear talking about since cvt service 😂😂😂😂😂
It's a cvt. It's literally made not to shift 🤣
How many miles on the nissan?
This 16’ had 116,700 miles when I traded it for the 22’ Rogue 1.5 Vc-Turbo. That thing still drove like a brand new car, smooth, Cvt was smooth, we just wanted more space because I already have a 19’ Altima platinum turbo. Miss this 16’ Though goodness every time I see a 5th gen 🫤 I had no doubt that it could last 200k + miles without any issue. Didn’t even burn oil and i did them every 3k miles.
Do that 10 more times and your gonna need a whole new transmission 😂😂😂😂😂
I did this almost daily in that car traded it with 116k and the next owner has it at 145k miles
9 seconds
How did you turn off the fake shifts?
You just punch it as fast as you can (literally) only from stop though
2.5 my azzzz lmaooo 😂😂😂
With the cvts if you just slow it its slow but if you ease up to 4 in about 3 or 4 seconds then slam it them bitches will rip😂( its best to put it in manual mode till about 80 then go back to automatic)
so bad i cant even not see my transmission shift
Bu maşının problemi var belə sürətlənmir bu maşın.
Turn off overdrive. My girls 15 lays rubber and pulls pretty hard. I was surprised
what’s overdrive n how u turn it off?
A Nissan isn’t supposed to (lay rubber) 😂 if u want to lay rubber get a sports car
Not true. Peak torque comes in at 3600 rpm not 6300! Max horsepower is at 6000
lmao why does it just sit at the same RPM and keep accelerating?
It’s a Cvt and Nissans Cvt let’s you simulate or if you floor it fast enough it’ll hold on ratio to give you max power.
Its in the name CVT=Continuously Variable Transmission, RPM stays the same but the final drive ratio gets longer as speed increases.
Why it was stopped at red light
🤣
Revvvy reevvy

Idk....I feel like fake shifting would've allowed you to get up in speed quicker...then again my 08 has an exhaust dump so I've got more HP than your 16. 😂 B.A.E for sure though 👌
@@MarquisPalmer-q1u sometimes I feel like the simulations do have more power to them 🤔
O
Why didn’t this sound right?.. my 2012 Altima sounds better / smoother.. sounded like it wasn’t even shifting ?..
Just watched the video again, it was on sport mode and considering the REMs .. I don’t believe it was.
Why did you do take Ds
🤷🏻♂️ quicker pedal/transmission response
No sport mode ?
I didn’t think to use it at the time 😫
It is... the dash says so 🤷♂️
Wtf shit sounds like a dyno run💀
Z
It’s on ds your gonna blow the motor
Ds is only sport mode (just increases throttle response & simulation shifting points). However I didn’t want it to simulate and to give me max power (so I punched the pedal as quickly as possible) it’ll hold one ratio like an older traditional CVT would.
