I'm going to over-answer your question for others following along. There are several ways you can enter the lounge. 1) purchase annual membership, this could be with $$ or points (the higher your status the less it costs) 2) enter with a friend, members usually have guest(s) access perks when both are flying on the same airline, don't need to be on same confirmation 3) buy a day pass, one time purchase gets access to every lounge you come across on one calendar day, great for long hauls, 2-3 stop itineraries & origin/destination cities w/lounges 4) Military access, I should know more about this because I have a ❤️ for Military & give a portion of all travel proceeds to VetTix.org. I believe you have to be active Military & maybe be traveling on orders?? I have seen this perk revoked when lounges fill up. 5) Get an airline credit card that INCLUDES lounge access. Often has an annual fee & often costs less than buying membership straight out, also should come with bonus mile offer. 6) Fly first/business on an international flight. This is your answer, if you're flying first/business you'll get free checked bags (see allowances) & loung access if it's international.

@hereigotravelco Thank you very much for the detailed answer. I will be flying First/Business to Mexico. I also have Priorty Pass & Amex, which gives me access to other lounges. Will definitely try the Admirals Lounge on my upcoming trip.
