GBO2 Moon Gundam: Buffed king of anti-raid!

- This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed LV1 Moon Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost general with multiple stuns, great stun accumulation, a stun nullifying barrier, extremely high damage Psycho Plates along with good durability. It has a lot going for it closer up, but it lacks any proper midrange shooting ability unlike the other native 700 cost generals. This buff seriously improved stun accumulation and MA break potential outside of the butterfly edge attack while also giving it a powerful low HP stat boost. I am not super experienced with Moon Gundam so I am not able to get super great games with it, but I thought that these two matches were pretty solid and should show off the buffs along with how the MS itself fares in the current environment. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary weapon of the Moon Gundam is a beam shot rifle with 400x6 (2650) power, 75% (80%) heat, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 175m (400m) range, 2 seconds focus time and 25%x6 (60%) stagger value. Uncharged spread shots are more consistent than the similar shotgun on the Sazabi, but still not entirely reliable. Charged shots don't have super high damage but it only takes two seconds to focus for an instant stagger beam which can combo into your other stuns or melee.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam tomahawk with 2900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 140% downswing modifier. This does decent melee damage on its own while also being pretty easy to confirm knockdowns with. It can confirm your ridiculously powerful Psycho Plates.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 160 power, 50 ammo, 510 RPM, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 225m range, 1360 DPS and 6% stagger value. These have slightly less DPS and time to stagger than Unicorn vulcans, but have very long range for head vulcans. They are really easy to stagger with or to finish off enemies.
Its second sub weapon is a butterfly edge with 1500x2 power, 12 seconds reload, 0.33 seconds swap time and 350m range. These count as melee damage but are fired like a stop to fire weapon. They follow your reticle mid-flight and break Maneuver Armor no matter what. You can easily stop raids with these or just to use them as another stun before going for melee.
Its third sub weapon are Psycho Plates with 1500x8 power, 1 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 35%x8 stagger value. These have immense power, high stun accumulation and can be fired while boosting, but fire straight at the enemy rather than actually tracking them unlike other lock on weapons. If you aim for the broad side of an enemy after downswinging them, you can hit most of these and do insanely high ballistic damage. Raids can die in one combo with a proper hit.
Its fourth sub weapon is a Psycho Plate barrier with 100% heat, 20 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time and 2500 HP. This blocks stuns and melee for you until it breaks or after 10 seconds have passed. This gives you a huge advantage in close range fighting since you can ignore the enemies stuns and shoot back with your own.
Its fifth sub weapon is a rifle grenade launcher with 1400 power, 1 ammo, 8 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 10% stagger value. You can treat this as an 8 second cooldown bazooka, since it instant stuns and has fair splash.
Moon Gundam has 21500 HP, 29 ballistic defence, 20 beam defence and 29 melee defence. This seems sorta average at first but a 15% leg buffer and massive 40% Psycho Plate buffer makes you really durable. You also have the combination of both LV1 Maneuver Armor and LV2 Emergency Evasion.
It also has 135 walk speed, 225 boost speed, 75 thrust and 78 turning speed. This is fine mobility but nothing special until the 50% HP buff activates. It has LV2 Forced Injector and LV3 Flight Control which is normal for 700 cost; but at 50% HP its special skill Psycho Plate Resonance activates which adds +15 shooting/melee modifier, +10 walk speed, -35% initial thrust consumption, -25% thrust consumption while boosting, LV3 Forced Injector, high priority and makes you immune to Unicorn's Psycommu Jack. This is a really nice all round buff for low HP which makes you more nimble as well as buffing damage.
Overall I think that this buff for Moon Gundam should basically just let it keep up with powercreep. I thought that it was strong before, but it got buffed anyway. This is an unfortunate reality of 700 cost now which is seeing constant powercreep along with buffing suits previously considered to be well balanced. I am surprised that Sazabi was not buffed before Moon, but the Moon Gundam should serve as a very effective close range brawler which can easily deal with raids (as if it wasn't already doing this before). Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it!

Purple Comet... Is he... *NEWTYPE* !?
Both performances are worth watching in one of my favorite suits. I don’t usually play general, but when I do, I go with Moon Gundam. Thanks for showcasing the suit and showing how to make the most of its weaponry.
Recently i've gained respect for the Moon, at first i didn't liked it very much but now i kinda want to have it, seems fun
Great vid!
Just like you said, it seems like a nominal buff to help it keep up with the other 700s, but damn, I feel like you were stunned more by your teammates in the first match than the enemy. The curse of big suits, I guess.
Sorry for the double comment but I love that guy's Nu painted like phenex.
Phenex Gundam at home xD
Given I just got Moon Gundam
I immediately went to find this so I can figure out how to play it
It looks really fun
I swear if they gave it the arm plate blades that it could do in the game man it would be my go to 700 withouth a doubt.
respect for u..
u able close the gab make by the teammate.
Umbra Gundam
i cant wait for the 30th i can finally play this game on pc
4:27 you should've seen this coming XD
also I like the moon gundam, its a shame i didn't get it when it was out :/
Well usually it stops the melee
I NEEEEEED ITTTTT
eh i wouldnt say king its def an improvement tho feels alot better vs the unicorn suits
12 health left? Smh, wasn't even close to death
Reading these comments. This community makes me laugh so much. Some small buffs to a unit and suddenly it's meta lol.
Sure moon got some well deserved buffs but now there is just another choice. Everything is still good.
It's like the people who say the mk2 isn't great anymore. It is still a very solid general in 500 for example.
The only units that didn't disappear after it's nerf was unicorn. Every other unit that was "nerfed" disappeared from all of my matches.
What is the red chip thing in his loadout? In between the two beam armors
Psycho Package. Costs 4 close slots, 2 mid slots and 2 long slots. Buffs HP by +1200 and reduces damage taken from enemy funnels/incoms by 10%. It was the step up reward for the Phenex banner.
@@avenger1_gbo260 thank you very much, I'm new on PC, so it's nice to have people tell you these things! Thanks a Million!
Very nice gameplay. Do you think the Moon Gundam or the original Nu Gundam is the better suit currently?
Moon overall. It brings a lot of value to the team if it can get in close for melee. It naturally counters threats like Enhanced ZZ since it can break its MA with the butterfly edge, and raids lose nearly all of their HP with the psycho plates follow-up.
I wonder what will happen in this game if Xi Gundam and Penelope enter the game those MS are humongous.
Well we did get Xeku Zwei and that thing is bigger than either of them. So I think that Xi and Penelope are definitely possible.
Are the funnels damage affected by melee resist or by ballistic resistance?also is the moons priority 3?
The Psycho Plates deal ballistic damage. Moon has priority 2 normally but at 50% HP the buff gives it priority 3.
rip sinanju (atleast still going to be the strongest suit in space)
My bluenanju still dropping 200k. Moon is aight
Bruh. It's a minor buff. It's not a sinanju killer xD
@xStarborn Nah, Moon's buff is much more insane than you can imagine. Vulcan stun rate is like a goddamn gp01 vulcan stun, the psycho plates counted as a Ballistic weapon which most of the 700 suit including sinanju doesn't even equip Ballistic resistance. And due to the Psycho Plate Resonance lv1 activates in 50%, and Psycho jammer doesn't affect this suit when it activates, which means Moon can spam the god damn plates as many as it wants when hp reached under 50%, plates reloading time is 10 sec, and that plates cause super heavy damage, not to mention because jammer doesn't affect moon, the shield also can't be affected too. Sinanju is back to the era where lots of shooting suits shooting at the back, the differences is the suit changed from unicorns to moon, nu and phenex
If you reach S- then you know Sinanju 200k is very hard to achieve right now, one down melee and oops, 4/5 hp gone by moon, or even one combo and kaboom
@@R-Jacky6698 Database link, know your combos.
I think Sinanju is stronger. It still has really high mobility, better stun output, mobile shooting skill, really insane melee damage, 50% HP Psychoframe Resonance that triples funnel lock time along with really OP knockdowns with beam saber and shield tomahawk.
I might just be used to Sinanju more than Moon, but I can reach 200k average damage with Sinanju while getting 160k for a video on UA-cam with Moon is harder. Moon is definitely really strong but I don't think it actually shoots as well as Sinanju can. Sinanju has pretty nice damage even just shooting with bazooka>beam rifle>grenade launcher, but Moon needs to rely on the Psycho Plates which will not hit a moving target.
I see many bulk builds for 700 cost MS now which use Psycho Package (+1200 HP and -10% damage taken from psycommu weapons) along with 40~ ballistic resist. Sinanju can take a build like this and although Moon's down>plates>down combo still does a lot of damage, it isn't as much as it would be against a build without ballistic defence.
Im so tired of YT's ballistic use of ads, bruh can't even watch the video !
SURELY Sazabi will be next in line for buffs right? 😄
It's over for Sazabi bros unfortunately. Just counting this months and last months buffs, they buffed LV2 Silver Bullet, Moon Gundam, Nu Gundam and even Sinanju before Sazabi. Like Silver Bullet didn't even get changes for LV1, but they still chose it over Sazabi? These devs man...
uc engage renders are so much cooler than gbo2
I hate to admit that i got tricked by phenex nu impostor
you should use speed king from yakuza 4 in one of your vids i think that would be sick
The name was different when I looked it up on UA-cam, but I just used it for my latest video!
Is it me or is there no audio
Yeah UA-cam sometimes does this unfortunately. The audio should fix itself later.
Oh it has fixed itself for me now. Is it still broken for you if you close out of the video and click on it again?
Thank ye
It's fixed
