Cool commander combo, would have been sweet in pioneer. Waaaaayyyy too slow and intricate for modern as a combo. Maybe it sees play in a yawgmoth type deck that has a couple of energy makers, or just an aetherworks marvel build that lets you abuse rogue refiner or w/e that 1UG 3/2 on etb gain 2 energy and draw guy is called

stupid question maybe but arent you forced to spend all your energy as part of the etb? the text says if you can´t (but clearly you have one left, so you could pay 2 energy)

So, you'll have 2 energy when Primal Prayers comes in. Then, you pay one energy, down to 1, to play Greenbelt. Since you don't have two energy (you used one to cast Greenbelt) Greenbelt returns to hand and you get an energy (back up to two). When you cast Greenbelt again, you'll be back down to one since you cast it with an energy again. So, you'll never actually have 2 energy when Greenbelt Rampager checks!
