Sounds like a disc may have misaligned and pinched your sciatic nerve, due to the misalignment of your mattress. Hoping for a speedy recovery 🙏 Google some stretches that will help relieve sciatic nerve pain to see if that may provide some relief

While your in the hotels do a Epson salt bath soak! For your hip. Sit for 30 mins hot water, then do a cold water soak for 15mins. Wish you great health 🙏

You should try and always sleep with a pillow between your knees. It takes the pressure off the hip. Even when it doesn’t hurt this will keep your hip from being stressed. It’s also good for your back as well. When lying on your back you should have a pillow under your knees too.

    • @cherigoodwin5846

Definately use pillows! I use one between my legs and one behind my back. Feels SO good! The one between my legs is a leftover idea from my hip replacement surgeon. I got used to it and didn't want to let it go! Lol

When I lived in my car I also used to get hotel nights every so often for "maintenance"....lol!
Well, I cut my own hair and so I didn't want to do that at 24hr Fitness (where I showered), so yeah, I would cut my hair in the hotel room, clip nails and just clean up really well and btw...I hated to just stay one night, because it would feel like nothing, it had to be at least two nights, to really enjoy it and not feel like I had to get up and check out next day...that I had the whole day to just chill and enjoy the food I would bring in , so room had to have micro-fridge and coffeemaker would be a plus! It was almost like "A Spa Day"....Haha 😝!

Anthony, welcome to the world of aging. It is happening to most of us. We tend to think of pain as coming from injury, a trauma. As we age, parts of us will hurt terribly for no reason at all. For the most part, these pains will just come and go. You can treat them in a variety of ways to cope from day to day. (here is a little know fact, in the 30's when social security was developed, 2/3 of Americans were dead by age 65. Now that we are living longer, we are dealing with the chronic conditions of aging.

    • @richardt1792

As most old people say, if I know I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of my body. Bad diet, lack of exercise, car accidents, bike accidents, falls, motorcycle accidents, and so on, it all adds up. Sometimes the arm I fractured in a motorcycle accident 45 years ago, hurts more now than when I fractured it.

Hip issues seem to start cropping up when we reach a "certain age". Mine are painful just due to wear and tear on the cartilage. Since you mentioned the Advil helped I thought I would mention that Aleve (Naprosyn) might work a little better. Anti-inflammatory meds helped me more than straight-up pain killers. You're not seeing any inflammation because it's internal. I hope you get some relief soon...

    • @cherigoodwin5846
      @cherigoodwin5846 2 роки тому

Yes, anti-inflammatory meds help me more than pain pills. I can't take very many, however, because I'm on a blood thinner. They will enhance the affects of the blood thinner and make the blood too thin. :(

Something very similar happened to me a few years ago. I got up one morning and it felt like a little catch in my hip but no pain just a little discomfort. By the end of my working day I could hardly walk it was hurting so bad. A co worker recommended I go see her Chiropractor. I was very skeptical that he could help me but I had to do something. I went and when I went into the office hobbling I was in misery. My daughter went with me and she can vouch that I went in hardly able to walk and after he did an adjustment on my back and both hips it was instant relief. I was able to walk out of there like normal. He did have me to come back the next day but after 2 adjustments I was fine. I can't even remember what he said it was. A disc in my back had something to do with it and I don't remember for sure but I think it was out of alignment or something. Hope you are feeling better but if it happens again go see a Chiropractor.

Hope you're feeling better. Since you weren't doing activity, may not be a pulled muscle. It could be your sciatic nerve which runs down your spine, hip, down your leg (a unique, sore, painful aching pain in lower back, hip, thigh, outer leg - at its worse, your leg fells like collapsing or actually does). I've had this ailmemt for about 3 years and thought it was old age hip - I'm 51. Much like a pinched nerve. Take it easy, try CBD oil for a few days each night for about 3 nights, do gentle leg stretching in bed each morning will ease the stiffness. A chiropractor can also help. You may notice a recurrence if you've awakened the nerve.

I have the same pain (left hip) but the pain radiates towards my groin.
Can’t hardly walk when getting up after sitting for more then 10 mins..
My GP prescribed oxycodone, Tylenol/Codeine, neither did anything for pain.
Only thing that seems to give me some relief is Advil or Motrin.
I’m not supposed to take NSAIDs because I have hypertension & those raise your blood pressure.
My hip pain also started out of the blue, so my doctor referred me to a sports medicine dx.
Saw the SM doc who wanted me to take an X-ray of my hips.
Turns out the fluid filled cushion that’s between your hip joint & socket is LESS then my right hip (which isn’t hurting as bad).
I asked the doc if I will need surgery & she said “not right now” but arthritis IS a degenerative disease so unless you do something to strengthen your hip & leg muscles, the pain will increase.
She prescribed me to get some physical therapy next week, but the pain is so bad in that hip, I’m going to wait until she gives me the steroid shot (in the hip) & that kicks in to take the pain away before I start the PT.
Hip pain ain’t nothing to ignore.
Hope your pain is gone by now.
If not, you should see your doctor & get an X-ray .
It’s the only way to know what’s really going on.

@@deedeeotero4475 - I hope you get better soon and here are some recommendations. Besides physical therapy, I highly recommend swimming. If your hip/legs are hurting too much, then consider buying a swimming bouy to put in between your legs. If you have the bouy, you can do both freestyle and breast stroke without or reduce using your legs in the water. Also, I swim using a short sleeve surfer's rash guard to cover the top. FInally, consider going to a chiropractor and/or accupuncturist. Chiropractic has worked for me, but accupuncture was worthless. However, each person is different and you need to figure out what is best for you. This is from a person that started this venture with a right knee where the cartilage is two separate areas and wore an unloader brace for 8 months, was recommended partial knee surgery by an orthopedic surgeon, etc. before going to the sports medicine doctor. Both the sports medicine doctor and the chiropractor have also treated bad left shoulder, lower back and neck as well.

For future, if your hip or back hurt again, try soaking in Epsom salts, in hotel bath tub. The magnesium REALLY HELPS, I promise. Apply ice before and after warm Epsom salts bath. Get well soon.

Hey Anthony...if the pain continues go to an Orthopedic Surgeon ASAP!!! For 2 yrs I thought I was experiencing knee pain and buying knee pads. Long story short I needed total hip replacement. I pray this is not your story. Sleeping in a car is not good long term because it wears on your hip. That's one of the questions my Surgeon asked me.

Green alcohol is so great. For u to use inside of the car, by rubbing it onto ur skin, for 2 times a day. You can pour some into a bucket to soak ur feet. in some hot water inside of the car, and in a very large tub in ur storage unit, or at a hotel tub. I've done it and works. Try the menthol patches as so. So stick onto your back, legs, feet or anywhere else on ur body, that's in any pain. They are so great patches and comes in counts of 20-40, for each pack. You can buy them from Walgreens, so get the Walgreens brand.

After 50 Anthony you have to do everything to preserve yourself. 🤓 .

A chiropractic adjustment may help. Also, watch your posture. I bought s gel cushion from Walmart, also at Bargain hunt. Helps a lot
