Very true, Arnold, for example, doing DIPS. 3:40 Many think it's for triceps and chest. But after doing a ton of them one day, I learned they are really a front-delt (shoulder) exercise, and too hard on the front delts. There are better ways to train front delts.
That's the thing, we can't affirm that, maybe your front delt is a weak point. Someone who has stronger delts might feel the exercise more in the triceps, and so it goes.

The only part I disagree with is having to do 20 sets of 20 reps. That's just crazy torture for no reason and it's a sure way for people to injure themselves. For bodybuilding, in order to grow, people only need to do as many warm-up sets as needed to properly warm up the particular muscles and joints for an exercise, followed by one effective set (the heavy set). That's what we were taught, years ago, when I studied to be a personal trainer, and it works. Anything more is a waste of energy and it can actually hinder growth from over-training. The one-arm cross-body dumbbell triceps extensions, Arnold demonstrated, are a brilliant exercise to build up the outer triceps head. I add a twist, to really hit the right muscle. Because I do that exercise just after regular triceps extensions, I usually only need to do one set for each arm.
@@logangodofcandy There is absoluttely nothing fluent about Arnold´s command of English. His accent is still thick as molasses, his syntax and grammatical structure is lacking and he´s still using the same imagery as always to convey his meaning. After all the years in the US he´s obtained a somewhat mediocre and generic command of the language but as a European,- ie. from a continent where you HAVE to speak at least two languages, namely your own and English, and most people speak an additional third and maybe even a fourth or fifth, I can assure you that for all of Arnold´s many and impressive talents and achievements, being fluent in what is to you foreign language is not one of them.
The amount of generic hate on anabolics has less to do with cheating in a conventional sense and more to do with the amount of people afraid or unwilling to make a sacrificial exchange so they can excuse their mediocrity or even below average attempts and feelings of inadequacy.
You can get great results from discipline as a natural you're just too insecure about yourself and willing to trade your health, intelligence and who knows what else for your vapid and vain sense of self.

The lies he just told. Try resisting the way down on the exercise. If it's a curl you pull everything back to get the weight up hold for 2 seconds then start the weight downward as it pulls down move the weight back to you and try to pull the weight back upward until you fail to lift it. Then do it again until you can't lift the bar at all. The shit he says. The only thing that creates the proper environment to gain muscles is to fail at keeping the weight up. There is no power in picking anything up, the true power is holding it to lower it into position that's is the only truth to proper lifting. Also learn to lift with your body nit your limbs. Meaning use your shoulder blades moving back together to bring the weight to you, and push your shoulder blades forward like you are trying to hug yourself you get tge weight off of you. Arnold was proven wrong by Arthur Jones and the Colorado experiment.
Colorado experiment was hardly a scientific study. Viator was on gear and just regaining muscle. He also said he went out later in the night without Jones knowing and trained in the way he'd done before. What you describe, in a strange convoluted way, wasn't unknown to Arnold.
@@baronmeduse the Colorado experiment wasn't done using sets. It was to just complete failure in one lift. This is the lie Arnold speaks. His training involves heavy steroids and infetimine use along with cocain. Arnold preaches that you use 20 sets of 20 while using steroids others could get ahold of. Arnold was proven absolutely wrong in the Colorado experiment and you can see the experiment in clips on UA-cam and can still order the videos by finding the company whom produced the video. The military, professional football teams, and police officers also performed in the experiment and they got better results without the use of any drugs.
@@ronniefarris8561 I know exactly what the 'experiment' was. I'm telling you Viator didn't do what Jones said he did. Jones actually thought Viator wasn't using steroids he was that naive. Also you clearly didn't understand the video above, he said he was advised to do a set of 20 to discover exactly where it was working, not as plan for a routine. Whether or not that's worthwhile.
@@baronmeduse I wasn't using viator because he just came from surgery to the experiment. Jones hired a physician to test each individual signed into the program. I was referring to what the experiment showed. The other athletes and military personnel took the drug tests and without the use of drugs they themselves found greater results without the use of sets. This pissed weider off to no end. So when Arthur Jones passes away the weider family bought the nautilus vam and took the nautilus cam lineups so they could put the weider brand in gyms instead of the nautilus line of machines. The idea is an unnatural idea of using sets to gain anything. When reality says ho work on a farm and the proper way is to go until you can't move the object anymore, and then heal the neurological system completely while you maintain a balance diet in the 4 food groups. After your body shows signs of growth you are stronger than ever before. It only works if your neurological system fails to understand why you can't pick it up and lower it back down. You only need one working set until failure and that is all. I can tell you factually that this is how we trained in the Army for best results. We tried 3x3 4x4 5x5 but each system leads to going until you can't push up. Then you roll to your knees and plank out to lower yourself slowly to the down position until you just can't hold yourself up at all. I understand why you question it but please learn to lift correctly with your body and not your limbs and fully work one set to absolute failure.
You've got to be trolling, right? using the Colorado experiment as a point of evidence?? Viator was told not to train for sometime before the start of the experiment meaning he lost alot of muscle, but him and Arthur knew he would gain it all back fast during the experiment as per muscle memory Then he was also on steroids (Jones was against steroids and didn't know much about them so viator just told him he wasn't on them and that was enough for jones) Jones also gave Viator a cash incentive for how much muscle he could put on during the experiment so it was in viators interest to gain as much muscle as possible, so given he wasn't monitored 24/7 he would train at night using the same proven methods he had always used. Jones was an entrepreneur foremost and his 'experiment' was little more than PR and an advertising campaign in the making to sell his line of nautilus machines.
They all were on juice. Just like all race cars run race fuel. Doesn’t take away from the fact that he was a champion. But if you’re comparing a natural bodybuilder to an enhanced one, you’re absolutely right. They are two separate classes.

He now drones on about climate change while flying in his private plane and owning a dozen cars. What a turd.
Ummm… that’s kind of a no-brainer if you have any kind of intelligence example just like if somebody gives you advice, but then they start going off the deep end saying crazy shit… You Kind of decipher what you can get out of the conversation and just leave the rest alone and make adjustments🤷🏽♂️
I don't ever tell a person, what they should do. I always tell them; this is what you COULD do. The rest is up to them.
Arnold “screw your freedoms” Schwarzenegger
60 years in bodybuilding, he still doesn’t know that it’s called the lateral head of the tricep.
He just gave such a nice speach, and that is what impressed you?
Well he calls it that in Pumping Iron. I assume you've seen it? An old guy not coming up with a word on command in a second language bothers you?
Man of action not words. Those smart heads with big vocabulary usually don't do much but criticize others. Something to keep in mind.
Second language? He's been fluent in English for half a century
@@chickenbroski99 I never said great results could not be achieved that way.
Discipline towards a set of skills is discipline regardless of a hormonal profile.
The so called natural puritans like yourself are very self righteous, which no doubt interferes with your ability to be objective.
Hey bud, go right ahead & take as much as you want. Just don't come cry like a whiney baby when the side effects come knocking hard. You're all acting tough, but we'll see how tough you are when consequences hit
Screw your freedoms
Yu must raise ze veights up and zen lower za weights again, and take lots of steroids ja.
FAS!!
Viator was told not to train for sometime before the start of the experiment meaning he lost alot of muscle, but him and Arthur knew he would gain it all back fast during the experiment as per muscle memory
Then he was also on steroids (Jones was against steroids and didn't know much about them so viator just told him he wasn't on them and that was enough for jones)
Jones also gave Viator a cash incentive for how much muscle he could put on during the experiment so it was in viators interest to gain as much muscle as possible, so given he wasn't monitored 24/7 he would train at night using the same proven methods he had always used.
Jones was an entrepreneur foremost and his 'experiment' was little more than PR and an advertising campaign in the making to sell his line of nautilus machines.
