I rode on the R211 on the A yesterday and the ride in Brooklyn was so awesome. The express ride was so smooth and so fast. It’s truly amazing how at the halfway mark, these trains really running so well and it felt that way too. It feels durable & reliable & I hope it can make it to the 30 day mark without an issue so we can start getting more of these new beauties!
@@fsdf3755 I was trying to figure that out yesterday & to me, it’s an upgraded R160. I think the R179’s are a bit smoother but i need to ride one again.
😃😎Yes! I wanna ride too but I'm 12. I dint know if my parents will let me go outside by myself to railfan, buy a 4k video camera for me, or let me ride trains ☹😕
R211s are nothing special. Imagine getting excited at some boring looking new train like the R211s. I mean its just yet another boring NTT with the same general design and features. 🤦♂️🙄
The MTA isn't gunna let that fight ruin their plans tbh, and I am glad they didn't. These cars are over 3 years late and the MTA has to get all this work done so they can retire the R46s, and automate the lines. They don't have that kind of time
@LegendaryTransit It was where a kid with special needs was pulled from an A train at 181st street and beaten up by a group of teenagers in an unprovoked assault.
🤣🤣 I know, it was really stunning! At Howard Beach, ambience till the train comes. When the doors opened, foamer rowdiness! Then back to the ambience after the doors closed.
Finally, I was able to board these brand new R211A Train yesterday for the first time after waiting over an hour at 42nd Street Port Authority Bus Terminal Station 🚉 and it was well worth the wait 👌
Most likely, I was indeed pretty stunned to notice that a lot of the signages and displays were off after that train did its layover at Lefferts Boulevard.
Hey what’s the difference between the r142a and r188 Cause the only difference I notice is that, the r188 is just a rerouted r142a Cause it’s literally the same propulsion, doors, and pretty much the appearance and technology is the same
Hey folks! I was wondering if anyone could chime in on this. Are the R211 cars using the Fuji motor door mechanisms just like The Kawasaki 160B fleet? When Alsthom manufactured the 160A fleet they used what was called Vapor motors. A very similar door mechanism is used on the PATH PA-5 fleet. Just wondering if anyone can help me answer this.
I would have thought 2 weeks in foamers would have been tired of the r211 and actually let me have a peaceful ride without screaming. Ig I was wrong smh
If things go relatively smooth in terms of operation after the 30 day test during passenger service, then more fleet of R211As should be coming soon. So yes.
These trains continue the legacy of being loud as hell inside. Why can't there be a more quiet ride instead of hearing all the squeals and tons of noise. They needed to have soundproofed the train cars to really give a proper ride. Fancy lights and signs don't cut it.

Nice! Are they as smooth as the R179's though? Or is the ride just like a typical R160? I been trying to catch them.
Isn’t every train there smooth & fast?

is r211A Kawasaki?
Great to see kids enjoying the new trains🔥🔥🔥
It's nice knowing that these trains haven't experienced any issues yet.
Yet? Lol let’s hope they don’t at all cause then that means the R211T will have issues
imagine a issue happens the 1st day of non-test service
Don't jinx it
Well, you jinxed it, they had a mechanical problem at Euclid Avenue, it was a light problem inside the train. Had to be taken back to the yard.
@@iAmOscarFNAF Yep, I jinxed it.
The 1st train opening it’s doors on this video and the people yelling in excitement taking quick pics had me in tears! 😂😂😂

4:19 to 4:29 that was me screaming YES because I was excited to ride on one.
Keep up the great work R211. We really don’t want to have any more issues like the R179 and the R110.
The R110 was to test technology for future subway cars.
Other than the infamous fight at one of the stations, I’m glad this thing is running well.

Oh these trains are godly definitely might be better than any ntt that’s out
Please check my channel out as I also uploaded the r211 and post daily mta videos :)
No matter how many years these cars last from now on, they’ll always the Train of the Future
Can all of the Subway trains talk, speak, and fly?
Where’s the destination and line indicator (about 6:15)?
Apparently, the crew forgot to turn the signs back on after the train went through a layover at Lefferts Boulevard. 🤣🤣
Oh they sound so nice!
At 5:45 … did the motorman forget to turn on the exterior signage?

April nine is the final day of revenue testing and where is the sir 211 pilot cars

It sounds like r160B, in regards to the sound when they open and slap shut. But they do open and close much faster than the R160B
😅

Would be nice to know the the time of trips it’s going to make
It starts at or 9 AM and ends 9 PM, I think. Not 100% sure
So what happens after 30 days, does it keep going and we begin to receive 4070-4499?
