DJ you have done an excellent job covering the last 30 days of the R211 on the A Train. It’s been a joy to see the work you’ve done to show us how things are going with the new train and I thank you and appreciate you for this. Truly excellent!

The base order of 535 R211 cars will replace all the R44 cars on the Staten Island Railway and the first 354 R46 cars currently running on the A and C routes. From there the first option order of 640 cars will expand 8th Avenue service and provide train cars for CBTC on the 6th Avenue Line, allowing for the retirement of the last 396 R46 cars on the Broadway Line. The last 437 cars will be for fleet expansion with a planned assignment in the Queens Blvd Line.
When will the R211 finish their 30 day acceptance test? I hope the Q train will get NTTs again cus the R46 and R68 makes the relatively new second Avenue subway stations and line look old. Hopefully the Q will get the R211 to replace the R46 on the Q.

Yea, the border of that sign is not letting the screen display the letters appropriately. They should make the font smaller. Worse case scenario is that it’s a led display and can’t do anything about it. They did not take into consideration the angle before designing it. Oh well, nothing is perfect.

DJ, how did you find the R211? I. Was trying to look for them one time @west 4th street but it never came, I waited like 5-6 trains nothing. Same on the other side of the platform. And they were in service that day too. Is there a way I can find them next time?
If you go to Fulton Street on a C train R179 you could Transfer to an R46 Express A train to Lefferts Boulevard, it's sometimes common to see an R211 not most of the time, that's what I do I mostly recommend it.
It's a shame in the early 90s the r110 a & 110b Trans turn to garbage it was nice inside but it wasn't good enough to be in service now they are trash wasted good money on them. E.R.R.

The R211 will replace R44 in Staten Island & R46 outside SI Mary Jane!
I just noticed that these new railcars have smaller side windows. They are almost completely square. 🤔
Yeah they have smaller side windows to allow for wider doors.
When the R211As entered service, why were they overpacked
Finally the R211's came out! and in Service!!!
They have been in service for over a month
