I’ve been a longtime fan of PJ since since their inception. They’ve inspired me for so long. Saw them for the first time on the 2nd Sydney show. Not sure if this is possible but I love them even more now. Best show I’ve ever seen. Firing on all cylinders. Amazing.
Attended the 21st Nov Sydney show. Hands down, it was the best concert I have ever been to. I'll be honest, my husband and I were a bit unsure of what to expect because of Pearl Jam's age, thinking they may come off sounding exhausted... holy sh!t were we WRONG! The clarity of Eddie's voice in the opening track Release made me gasp in surprise and I could feel my eyes dialate and my heart beat went besurk... my husband shared the exact same reaction.. we both knew we were in for the BEST ride and a performance that you did not want to end. Eddie's vocals were impecable, and the band has a unique connection, a bond that unites them that creates an unwavering energy that feeds the crowd.. I felt all of the best emotions from my teen years flood through me.. I can't thank them enough for giving us the most absolute amazing and memorable experience!
I drove over from Adelaide for the Saturday Melbourne gig. Was unbelievable. My sixth time seeing them - my first every gig as a 17 year old was seeing them in Adelaide at Memorial Drive, March 1995.
Tears of joy I was expecting, what I wasn't expecting was the emotional tear that rolled down my face before I even knew it was happening in the first 20 seconds of them opening with Release at Sydney's night 1 show last night. And I can't stop reliving the moment. Amazing what music can do to you.
@@d.r.o.p.b.e.a.r thanks for sharing! Wow! Release is such a powerful song! Agree! Music is one of the only things I cannot understand fully as to why it has this effect on us! Amazing!
I'm still picking my jaw up from the floor 24hrs later that we got Hunger Strike on Sydney N2. I was still on a high from N1 when N2 rolled around and during n2 i just wasn't feelin it like the first night and put it down to being in the 2nd row from the rail in golden circle n1 but GA n2 . but upon reflection i now feel they were both on par for completely different experiences and reasons and when put together as a whole, i've never felt more content!
I wish more bands were like this, with such varied set lists. It makes you feel like you were at a unique show and always has you guessing and anticipating.
I saw them on the Gold Coast 13/11 I agree, Eddies interaction with the crowd was amazing, really showing his gratitude for being there and enjoying life, Also Mike McCreadys guitar solos, went off nearly every song. My son saw them in Melbourne, and was just as impressed as me. Cheers Julian
@@exxotixjeff2822 yeah I think the interaction really helps to make it a good show. You’re right he seemed playful and just enjoying life! Awesome to see it.
PJ is special. Seeing these incredible crowds in multiple countries 34 years after they started is impressive. AND without any of the stage BS that other acts employ. Just straight music. Wish I could have been there.
Exactly. This is what REAL music is to me, nothing synthetic, just raw talent behind each instrument combined with amazing vocals... equals kicka55 vibes and such an excitable energy
I was at n1 and n2 in Melbourne on the rail at both and both nights just were electric… I’ve been to everybmelb concert starting in 95 and their energy is just as powerful and made me feel like I was 20 again. My Leta’s took a week to recover but was FANTASTIC
I was at the Saturday show in Melbourne and it was amazing. The band were incredible and the vibes in the stadium were so good. You could really feel the love. I week later and I’m still remembering and smiling.
I was at Carrara, had a wee storm, so the first act was rained out. I couldn't believe how shit the Pixies were. Jesus, maybe as a college band they were OK, barely, but as adults taking themselves seriously
Went to the sat night show, missed out on daughter, can’t complain though, show was outstanding and sound for pixies and PJ was so clear. Best live sound mix I’ve ever heard.
Very jealous of the folks at the final show last night. Hunger Strike and Alone??!! Wow. This was definitely a good tour. Just wish they had done more Gigaton.
This was my first concert ever as I was nervous being a Monday night it wasn’t goin it be huge but they were perfect and didn’t disappoint in even the slightest
I do not even need to listen to this review. Pearl Jam & Eddie Vedder are synonymous with grunge. The band sound no different to the 90’s. They are nostalgic, legendary and a must see if you haven’t seen them before. People, see some real music before it is gone.

They say never meet your heroes, but that a lie, this concert was phenomenal. Best time I've ever had.
Brilliant mix in Sydney, extraordinary musicians,...if only I was closer to the stage.. just an amazing band.

I saw 4 Aussie shows, they just got better and better. Sydney was number 20 since 1995.
They are just as good 31 years later
Pearl Jam ❤❤❤❤

Wow such a different play list to final concert in Sydney. Was amazing

@@andreaaprico1704 yes I heard the Saturday show was great! A hot night too! Epic! 🤘🔥
Best show since 1995 Eastern Creek. ‘Black’ solo by Mike was unforgettable. ‘Sonic Reducer’ was a standout
Definately something great about this run of shows!! 🤘🔥
Just seen them in Sydney. Bloody amazing show
Best show I've seen of them since 98
Definately agree 🤘🔥
I saw them last night in Sydney and it was as you say... i went in unexpected and was blown away by the end of the night. The energy was electric.
@@AlexBelVisuallyUnique great to hear it wasn’t just me….id seen them before but I think they were really on there game!…glad you loved it!
I was at both Auckland gigs and they were incredible.

Such a great show hey Scotty! Setlist for the last one in Sydney recently was amazing…..

Wow! Hunger Strike?? Just checked the setlist…they also played one of my favourite songs ‘Dissident’!! That would have been a great show to see!
At all five Aus shows. They are ....Pearl Jam. If you know. You know.
Opened with Realeae and Given to Fly was dedicated to Michael...
Just a fact check..
Hey @bregan014 I was at the Melbourne Second show and they opened with ‘Better Man’ at that show actually. Did you attend the first Sydney show?
What was your favorite moment from the Pearl Jam Dark Matter Tour? Or, if you haven’t seen it yet, which song are you wanting to hear live?
This was my first concert ever as I was nervous being a Monday night it wasn’t goin it be huge but they were perfect and didn’t disappoint in even the slightest
@ what a great concert to see as your first one! 🤘🔥
In Sydney they played sonic reducer (highlight) this concert was epic but eastern Creek concert in 95 was legendary.

@@ZOOTV-1976 spot on!, people should definately see them while they can! 👌
Yeah, I wasn't prepared when I saw them in 2003 and Eddie went on a 20 minute political rant. Used to love them, but can't stand them now.
Yeah good call, not a fan of the political rants either! I try and seperate it from the music though.
Awww diddums 😂😂
Eddie's been true to his values since Day 1. Deal.
