Where is Dan Doogan ?
Like others have mentioned, adding Dugan capability would add serious value to this desk and make it perfect for corporate breakout rigs. Even if it’s a $100-200 optional license fee upgrade.
Not ideal but my Waves Superrack works with inserts via USB and I’m able to use my Dugan Automix that way on DM3.

Biggest complaint of the console = No Dugan. Not addressed or commented on by Yamaha yet.
I almost purchased one of these the minute they announced it. But due to the lack of automix(Dugan) feature it is a no go. Would love this for small gigs like talking panels or conferences. But need an automix feature. Was hoping V2 was going to add it. Until then not spending the money on this one.

No auto mixer? Looks great but still not buying till this is implemented.
It can’t set up side chain gate off a dca group? Works on most digital boards without “ auto mixer”. Allows weighting as well.

Waves Superrack can also be used with inserts via USB. I have Dugan Automix in Waves and it works with the DM3.

DM5 with 32/40 or 48 channels dugan automixer - a competitor to SQ5 X32 M32R
the missing Dugan is really the only loss compared to the TF. I mean even the sort of crappy Automixer from the TF is better than not having it outright. the current Workaround is to ditch VST Elements and use a Waves Superrack with Dugan. it is a unnecessarily huge Setup for an otherwise Impressively compact setup.

@@dhatm1660 the TF simply had a much worse user interface for the Automixer compared to the one in the CL/QL series (i know the whole Insertpoint thing is a seperate Issue) or the DM7. grouping, preset, etc. but my main concern was that (i assume due to the TFs lack of Processing power) on more than one occasion i had it respond very slowly when one Microphone "iterrupts" another. it simply kept it at a reduced Volume even though someone was talking. i mean the whole point of this thing is to not have anyone look at me angry when the mic was muted because i didn't pay attention.

Why can't you directly record 18 tracks to the USB Stick. A&H SQ can !!!!
Sq is twice the price. Totally agree with the frustration/call to add the feature, but that’s a different product category than dm3
@@MakesBadNoise even the CQ series for half the price can record all tracks to usb

How do i install the new version software on the DM3.
Are there any plans to support an iPhone or iPad plugged in via USB on the front panel to play audio into the stereo channels?

Either a QU or SQ from Allen & Heath makes more sense in regards to the auto mic mixing.

Would like custom layers to save with scenes. I load a scene for a different event and have to change my custom layers every time. Or am a missing a setting? Thanks!

What is the reason for this thing not being able to connect to a 24 or 32 channel stagebox via Dante. Almost makes no sense that it does not have the processing power if that is the reason.
Totally agree, I was hoping for that in this “new version” even the M32C could pull more channels.

Guys chill down, I come from a time were we only had analog mixing... you will survive without Dugan on a 1800 bucks mixer...

We need automixer...even if it's not official Dugan. Allen & Heath new 'under $2,000' CQ-series has automixer feature.

This guy is so annoying. Had to speed up the video 1.5 times to make it tolerable.
