Hey Koko-
I tried to mimic Denis DeYoung’s original as closely as possible, so I used a factory preset organ sound layered with a punchy sawtooth synth patch I had to make from scratch because there was nothing close for that in the presets.
The monophonic solo synth sections was a sawtooth waveform, cutoff frequency was all the way up, I took the edge off of the attack so the notes hit more softly, then I added a tiny bit of portamento. Portamento is the “sliding” from note to note effect like a steel guitar player would do.
