Follow me on my unplanned adventure throughout the streets of Kathmandu as I buy mad honey, visit the monkey temple, and help a young girl buy rice.

Chris you look like a very good gentle man i am a local from kathmandu and i would like to suggest you that please do not go with any random person you meet in the street most of them are just hustlers but some of them can put you in trouble and scam you especially around thamel area most of the locals are very nice and polite . also about the little girl yeah they look very innocent and have a very hard life but they are all part of an organisation from india who comes to Nepal and ask money to tourist making diffrent reason as we have an open boader alot of indians comes to Nepal and there is indian mafias who bring them to big cities and make them ask money if you really wanna help them please buy them food and tell them to eat infront of you otherwise that money or stuff you buy for them won't be used by them , they all have to give to someone who is incharge of the area so whenever you see anyone begging in kathmandu please remember this we Nepalese dont belive in begging our culture teach us to work hard and earn our living anyways have a great time in out country and staysafe NAMASTE

Chris mad honey trip depends upon the season it is harvested. If it was harvested after spring the effect can be experienced in full swing but if its harvested after the winter, since there would be no flower the honey would not be so great!! Better go to shop and buy it from there, it's more likely to have effects rather than from hustlers!!

$50 is a lot of that kinda hotel. If u want check out tokyi guest house, it's behind bouddha. Stayed there last time I visited kathmandu. It was around $20 cad and the place is clean and quiet. Enjoy ur stay

I thought about it after the fact, but I can't imagine them stealing from a little girl. The people here have been so kind and honest with me.
Although I can't guarantee it but I am quite certain they didn't have any ill intent. The guy in the red shirt actually helped the girl choose the sack of rice and asked the store owner if he can deliver it for the poor girl to which the store owner agreed.

It's funny that most of the people you met in your video didn't seem to understand English (Even that Taxi driver was the same) That must have been frustrating for you, but I know that most of the people in Kathmandu city areas do speak English. Your a good man... Big heart.. The hustle is usually with the shopkeeper... She brings in People and she gets a share of the money most likely... But that's not your fault your heart is good...
I've seen that hustle many times, i've been to 125 countries. People need to survive and eat. The $20 means nothing to me, so I wasn't hustled. I had no problem giving away that money. That store and girl wasn't in a tourist location so I highly doubt that she is working with that store. if she was i would be really surprised... What you don't see on camera is we went to 5 other stores looking for rice, not just this one.

If you want real mad honey don't buy it in Kathmandu unless you know someone. It's impossible to tell unless you try it (obviously). You gotta go to the mountains and get it from the source. It's pretty fun, but be careful cause the effect can be really intense.
There are lots of things to explore in Nepal Chris. Especially in the countryside.
