I really like the way you have the drums tuned. I love the Beech shells but to my ears, they've always sounded best at medium to low tuning. They tend to get a bit tinny at higher tuning. And your playing is always a treat to experience.
Wow ! Amazing drumming, love your playing ,and you really make those Sonor vintage sound really really good. I really like the way you tuned the drum kit. Do you tune the tom/kick top and bottom heads to the same pitch or do you tune the reso heads a little higher?
I’ve got homework. There’s tasty stuff in there I think (with work) I can pull off. (And a whole lotta stuff I can’t even fathom ever being able to play, so I’ll grab the low hanging stuff.)
I'm intrigued by the fact that no adjustments were made to the bass drum pedal in terms of where the beater is actually striking the head. The myth is that a bass drum pedal beater needs to strike closer to dead center on an 18 inch (or any) bass drum to get a fuller tone and lower end. And yet clearly that myth is refuted here.
Sweet!!🎂
Wow ! Steve is brilliant. A master on the drumset.
A beautiful kit and a lucky one having the incredible Steve Smith sitting behind it : )

You've been my biggest influence since I started playing 40 years ago! When are you coming back to Maine? :)

Awesome.....
Strip a kit drum and it shows the real drummer, and the extent of their vocabulary
Not disappointing at all....
