Hola Rocky! Thanks for being great at teaching Spanish to non-native speakers as myself. I have been trying to learn Spanish for a long time. I should be fluent by now. But I’m still struggling. I am learning a lot from watching your videos. I’m going to start being brave and try speaking more with my church members and other Spanish friends. Your videos are the BEST to me! Gracias! Dios te bendiga! ❤❤😊
Never aim to be fluent. Even in our native languages, we are learning new words and meanings each day, so never aim to be fluent and put pressure on yourself. Always aim to just be able to communicate and understand. If you can describe something in the language you are learning, consider that an accomplishment. I can communicate in Portuguese and understand the gist of things, but I am still learning each and every day. I can read Spanish and understand spoken spanish ok due to portuguese, but speaking is an issue.

Heyy Rocky! Could you do a part 2 of this using imperfect vs preterite with these same examples? you would only use the preterite for #3 (obligation) and the rest are imperfect in the past tense but are there any more examples or reasons to use tener in the preterite?
Hola Rocky! Gracias por su ayuda! Una pregunta: If I am writing a condolence note to the family of a neighbor of mine that died how do I address them. “Querida familia de …” or Estimada familia de…?
Hola Rocky!! Estaba escuchando algo music en español y me noté el uso de “pa.” en lugar de “para”. No seguro si este podría estar una tema de un video(contracciones comunes, slang), pero algo ayuda me apreciaría, gracias.
Hola Jack! En realidad la palabra ¨pa¨ no existe, es solo un uso inapropiado o inadecuado de la palabra ¨para¨. A pesar de que muchas personas utilizan ¨pa¨, mi consejo es que uses para. Saludos!
Can someone tell my why "una" isn't needed in "Tengo novia"? I know it's not needed for occupations like "Ella es camarera" but I'm not sure why novia doesn't require it in that sentence
My only issue is trying to really order food in spanish.. like a really good order.. like i am too much in my head when i try to order food in Spanish...
I wish you would also say the literal translation in english, not just the meaning in english. E.g. I am 10 years in Spanish literally means I have 10 years old. That helps me comprehend the logic much better. Thank you for your videos.

"Tengo ganas de" was the one I learned here. Thanks!
One thing that confused me at first was you say “tengo hambre” pero “estoy lleno” barriga llena, corazón contento! 😁
I think of it as saying I have hunger. That helps me to remember to use tener.
I like this video.thank you so much
Muchas Gracias for this video dude

Hi
I just wana know what did you say in begging of this video after Hi
Info overload
Really cool to see you still on UA-cam. Used to watch all the basketball drills etc.
Dije que tengo caliente cuando la temperatura es de ciento siete grados.
Ok but por que? I appreciate knowing that this is the more common way to express something, but why? Why?
oE MAN PORQUE VEo tu video si soi peruana
Ya, I kinda wish you'd slow down your Spanish... Actually just the intro... I've listened many times but you're always too fast
You can slow down or speed up the speed of videos on UA-cam even without the app.
Look up how to change the speed of videos. It will help you. It’s called playback speed.
For number 2, would it be similar to saying "I have hunger" instead of "I am hungry" for "tengo hambre"? Gracias!
Great question, yes, that's basically what you are saying here and it's how we communicate "I am hungry" in Spanish!
Essentially yeah!
