- This is just a video of a Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive washer going through a wash, to use as a reference for normal operation. During the different parts of the cycle I talk about what components are activating and what could be giving problems.
Your videos on this machine are great. I have a GWL15US that I’m doing a major cleaning on. I pulled the water pump and cleaned it. It was so full of crud. Now I’ve removed the drum to clean it as well. When I reassemble it, I’d like to check that the cycles are functioning correctly. Would you explain how you run the machine without the lid? How do you trip the lid lock?
Thanks for the videos. Can you please post a video about Out of Balance faults?
What a thoughtful idea dan😊
I wasn't sure if it was a good idea or only one step above watching paint dry...
I don’t understand I just have adhd
Which paint dried?
Might be an expression?
I have a Fisher/Paykel Model GWL11US . The problem is that on the final fast spin cycle. water is sent into the machine. With the speed of the machine the water is spun out of the machine and onto the floor. The water enters from the side of the machine at about the 2 o'clock location, not the very back. What can cause this?
That sounds like the Diverter valve has something in it so when it is in drain mode some water is still going through recirculation hose
@@motrepairs I came to that same conclusion yesterday. I have ordered a new one. I’ll let you know if that was it. Thanks for your input.
@@motrepairs That was the problem. Replaces it with a new one. The old one had a piece of small plastic u shaped stuck inside.
Hey Dan I just have a question I remember reading one of your previous comments that you had a video on replacing the bearings in one of these machines? Do you intend on uploading it by any chance as I’d quite like to see it?
Yes, it needs a little editing so not ready right now. I have 7-8 videos mostly filmed to finish off the series on smart drives, will probably be 1-2 a week as I get time to finish them off.for how little editing I do it still take quite a bit of time to go through and cut bits out etc.
Like and subscribe. Excellent information and repair guide for f&p repairs. Thanks
